Support structure of a cover
The invention relates to a support structure of a cover of a structure capable of being inserted into the ground, for example of a shaft or a channel, wherein the cover (10) comprises a traversable surface (11) and the support structure (20) extends downwards under said cover into the structure and comprises beam-shaped supports (21-23) such that their under support side (24) facing away from the surface (11) experiences a tensile stress when the surface (11) is loaded. The invention is further characterized in that between two areas (A, A) a thickness (D) of the carriers with minimum tensile stress is configured substantially symmetrically in an increasing manner up to a maximum value and then, in turn, in a decreasing manner to form a ball shape when viewing the cover from below.
LIGHTWEIGHT MOLDED COVER
Disclosed is a cover for a utility vault and a method for making such covers. The cover is formed from fiberglass reinforcement layers, a low-density core, and a polymer mix matrix. The reinforcement layers include a bottom reinforcement layer, one or more edge reinforcement layers, and a top reinforcement layer. A first portion of the edge reinforcement layer overlaps a portion of the bottom reinforcement layer and a second portion of the edge reinforcement layer overlaps a portion of the top reinforcement layer. The core is positioned between the top and bottom reinforcement layers. The reinforcement layers are formed from fiberglass fabric and may include fiberglass layers whose fibers are oriented quadraxially. The polymer mix impregnates the fabric layers, encases the core, and binds the components together. The polymer matrix includes a thermoset polymer resin.
Utility cover
A cover for an underground enclosure may include an upper surface comprising a pattern of bosses, a first slot and a second slot disposed on the upper surface, a lower surface opposite the upper surface. A first reinforcement member may be coupled to the lower surface. The first slot may extend into the first reinforcement member, and a second reinforcement member may be coupled to the lower surface and aligned with the first reinforcement member. The second slot may extend into the second reinforcement member. The cover may be configured to be lifted by the first slot and the second slot.
Cover for use on public roads
The invention relates to a cover for use on public roads, comprising an outer body (2) that houses at least one reinforcement (1). Preferably, said outer body (1) is made of a plastic material, e.g. injected plastic material, and said at least one reinforcement (1) is connected by means of said outer body (2) to form a single piece.
The cover according to the invention is lighter than that conventional covers, given that it is made with less metal and with lighter materials. Moreover, the cover cannot be easily recycled and hence is not at risk of theft.
Support structure of electrohydraulic apparatuses for irrigation systems, applicable to a buriable well for housing and protecting such electrohydraulic apparatuses
Support structures for electrohydraulic apparatuses in particular of electrical and hydraulic apparatuses of irrigation systems are disclosed. The support structure is configured to be applied to a buriable well for housing and protecting such electrohydraulic apparatuses. On predetermined portions of the support structure a plurality of holes are formed, and are adapted for receiving a corresponding plurality of support means configured to hold, preferably in a releasable manner, one or more electrohydraulic apparatuses. Also described is a buriable well for housing and protecting electrohydraulic apparatuses comprising at least one such support structure of electrohydraulic apparatuses.
MANHOLE COMPRISING A DEVICE FOR SAFETY CLOSING AND LOCKING THE MANHOLE
A manhole includes a device for safely closing and locking the manhole, which has a cylinder with centering pins that is attached to a slab and is rotatable with an operating key acting on the pins, and further includes an anti-burglary block, which in locked position is positioned inside the cylinder and hides and protects an anti-theft bolt positioned inside a hole, which crosses the entire anti-burglary block and has a larger diameter at the front and the same diameter as the anti-theft bolt in the back, so as to receive the anti-theft bolt in a threaded spot in the inner wall of the cylinder and enable placement of the anti-theft bolt in the body of the anti-burglary block when totally tightened into the threaded spot, wherein the end of the anti-theft bolt, in closed position, is housed in a locking hole on a circular support of the cover.
Security apparatus
Disclosed herein is a security apparatus comprising a blocking device having a formable bag and a marker layer including a transferable marker composition that can be transferred onto any object penetrating the marker layer and any other object or person coming into contact with the marker composition in the event of an attempt to remove the blocking device by puncturing the bag. The blocking device may block an access point such as a manhole to block unauthorized access. The formable bag may be made to conform to the shape of an access passage by inflation or deflation using valve.
Motorcycle having a system for increasing a rearing and a tilting limit of the vehicle and for increasing a longitudinal thrust of the vehicle
A motorcycle including a frame to which an internal combustion engine is associated, from which internal combustion engine at least one exhaust pipe of combusted gases departs, the exhaust pipe having an open terminal, the frame mounted on a front wheel and a rear wheel, a control board or unit included, for controlling torque produced by the engine and other parameters such as velocity of the vehicle and spatial position thereof with respect to the road surface. The motorcycle including a system to verify when the front wheel of the motorcycle detaches from the road surface during acceleration. The system includes a choke for partializing the section of the exhaust gases outlet area from the exhaust pipe, during partialization. The partialization obtained as a function of the torque produced by the engine and the position of the front wheel with respect to the road surface.
FRAME AND COVER FOR INGROUND UTILITY ENCLOSURES
Described are hatch assemblies comprising a frame having sidewalls, a pivotally connected cover, and a number of easily repairable and replaceable torsion-spring-assisted hinge assemblies. Hinge assemblies may comprise a torsion spring having a coiled body along the center axis of which a carriage bolt is inserted. Once one end of the torsion spring that extends vertically from the center axis is engaged by a support member, such as a semi-open enclosure that is mounted on a hinge plate, the spring is rotated and supports the torque generated by the weight of the cover when operated by a user. Advantageously, this provides for a controlled and almost effortless opening and closing of a heavy door or covers of hatch assemblies.
