Manhole base assembly with internal liner and method of manufacturing same
A manhole base assembly and a method for making the same, in which a non-cylindrical, low-volume concrete base is fully lined to protect the concrete against chemical and physical attack while in service. This lined concrete manhole base assembly may be readily produced using a modular manhole form assembly which can be configured for a wide variety of geometrical configurations compatible with, e.g., varying pipe angles, elevations and sizes. The form assembly is configurable to provide any desired angle and elevation for the pipe apertures using existing, standard sets of form assembly materials, and may also be used in conjunction with industry-standard cylindrical casting jackets for compatibility with existing casting operations. The resulting system provides for flexible construction of a wide variety of lined manhole base assemblies at minimal cost, reduced concrete consumption and reduced operational complexity. The modular nature of the production form assembly also facilitates reduced inventory requirements when various manhole base assembly geometries are needed.
Vented precipitation guarding manhole cover assemblies
Vented precipitation guarding manhole cover assemblies include a manhole cover having a manhole cover protrusion. The manhole cover protrusion has a protrusion edge, a protrusion surface contiguous with and extending from the protrusion edge and a protrusion apex contiguous with the protrusion surface. A manhole cover vent opening extends through the manhole cover protrusion and the manhole cover.
Drain body seal and protection system and method
A seal and protection system and method for use with a drain body to protect components of the drain body from damage during construction and eliminate trip hazards to a user created by an opening of the drain body is provided. The system also permits the user to test the drain body for leaks. The system includes a gasket coupled to the drain body opening, and a circular cover coupled to the gasket and having a beveled outer edge, a top face and a bottom face, the bottom face having a plurality of inner ribs disposed thereon and radially spaced apart such that each inner rib of the plurality of inner ribs is equidistant from each adjacent inner rib. The beveled outer edge of the cover conforms to contours of the drain body and extends to enclose the opening of the drain body, thereby sealing and protecting the drain body.
ACTIVE SEALING MANHOLE COVER FOR VAPOR AND LIQUID ISOLATION
The embodiments disclosed herein relate to a method for sealing a manhole against emissions, wherein the manhole defines an interior surface, and having the steps of: inserting a manhole cover into the manhole, wherein the manhole cover comprises a top plate and a bottom plate and wherein the manhole cover further comprises a first seal ring in a first annular cavity defined in an exterior surface of the manhole cover and a second seal ring in a second annular cavity defined in the exterior surface of the manhole cover; compressing the top plate and the bottom plate together; decreasing the first annular cavity; and engaging the first seal ring and the second seal ring against the interior surface of the manhole.
Reinforced manhole cover gasket
A reinforced gasket for sealing a manhole, the gasket comprising a reinforcement ring having an upper surface and a generally planar lower surface; and a sealing assembly comprising a first ring and a second ring with an intermediate member extending between the first ring and the second ring, the intermediate member defining a contact surface; wherein the reinforcement ring is disposed between the first ring and the second ring of the sealing assembly such that the upper surface of the reinforcement ring is in contact with the contact surface of the seal ring.
Sealed Hatch Assembly for Underground Enclosure
Disclosed is a hatch assembly with a gasket that seals when the hatch is closed. The sealed hatch assembly is fluid tight and prevents water, dust, or other contaminates from entering the enclosure protected by the hatch. In a preferred embodiment, the gasket is formed about a peripheral edge of the hatch door. This gasket is adapted to seat upon an L-shaped bracket formed about the periphery of the hatch frame. A center beam is also included for dividing the frame into two openings. The center beam includes a U-shaped bracket that can also form a seal with the gasket. The various components of the present disclosure, and the manner in which they interrelate, will be described in greater detail hereinafter.
REINFORCED MANHOLE COVER GASKET
A reinforced gasket for sealing a manhole, the gasket comprising a reinforcement ring having an upper surface and a generally planar lower surface; and a sealing assembly comprising a first ring and a second ring with an intermediate member extending between the first ring and the second ring, the intermediate member defining a contact surface; wherein the reinforcement ring is disposed between the first ring and the second ring of the sealing assembly such that the upper surface of the reinforcement ring is in contact with the contact surface of the seal ring.
Insulation disc for septic tank lid
An insulating disc can be easily installed and removed from inside a riser of a septic tank. The insulating disc is seated atop an opening of the tank lid and seals around the riser inner surface. The disc can include a core formed of R-10 extruded polystyrene sandwiched between two layers of high-density polyethylene. A flexible gasket can extend outward from the disc to seal against the inner surface of the riser. Retention tabs can also be provided to center and hold the disc in place. The disc can be divided into two semicircular halves that are hinged together. A hook, eyebolt and/or rope can be used to aid in removing the disc from the riser.
Laminous manway cover gasket
A laminous processed manway cover gasket includes an insert and a plurality of ePTFE layers of membranes wrapping the insert to result in isolation of the insert. In example, the isolation may result from a laminous, thermo-mechanical process that fuses together each ePTFE layer of membrane of the plurality of ePTFE layers of membranes.
