Method and Device for Pre-Casting Conduit Holes in Building Foundations
A method of constructing multiple conduits in building foundations that eliminates the process of core drilling after the foundation has been poured and set. This method creates optional openings for possible future connections. The process uses removable conduit molds installed before the foundation is poured. Once the foundation has set, conduit molds are removed to explose conduits in the foundation as needed.
Sealing Arrangement for a Connection Between Two Connecting Elements of an Offshore Structure and Method for Producing Same
Seal arrangement for a joint of two joint elements, in particular realized as a monopile and a transition piece, of an offshore structure, preferably an offshore wind energy installation, in particular a substructure thereof, in which, for the purpose of producing a stable joint, an upper joint element and a lower joint element are inserted into each other in a clamping manner by means of at least one seal unit, comprising one of the joint elements and the at least one seal unit fixed to the joint element, in such a manner that the seal unit, in a joining position, is arranged between an inner joint surface of one joint element and an outer joint surface of the other joint element, at least one seal unit having at least one elastic sealing element, which extends in the circumferential direction around the entire circumference and the thickness (D) of which is greater than the thickness (D) of an adjoining seal unit region and method for producing a seal arrangement.
Erosion control system
An erosion control system of interconnected bags with water permeable fill material. The top panel of each bag is a geotextile mesh material so that water can pass into the bag and into the water permeable fill material. The bottom panel of each bag is a geotextile mesh that is non-degradable and slightly water permeable. The bags are connected in the end to form a trough through the permeable fill material.
THIN STABILIZED SEGMENTAL WALL BLOCKS, SOIL REINFORCING SYSTEM, AND METHODS
A segmental wall block, soil reinforcing system, and method related thereto, wherein the wall block may be used for constructing retaining walls. In one embodiment, the segmental wall block may include: a front face; a rear face; a slot disposed along the rear face; a troughed top face; a bottom face; a first and second open core extending from the top face to the bottom face; a first side having a tongue; and an opposing second side having a groove, wherein the tongue is shaped to interlock with the groove. A soil system may include: a wall block component including a first configuration of interlocked segmented wall blocks as described, and a stabilizing component. A method of reinforcing soil may include the steps of: installing a leveling pad of concrete or gravel; and providing a soil stabilizing system.
Fluid containment device
A containment basin comprising a plurality of interlocking modular panels, wherein said modular panel are free-standing. The interlocking modular panel for use in a containment basin, comprise: a base section; and a side section; wherein said base section panel and side section panel being fixedly connected to one another at an edge and comprising a plurality of rib elements bridging the side section and base section.
Berm or levee expansion system and method
A system and method to create or elevate a berm of a liquid retention facility by placement of lightweight fill material anchored by impervious liner material(s). The liner materials can be part of the liquid retention pond. The system and method can also be used to elevate the height of the berm in combination with impervious liner retention material. By constructing the berm system on an existing berm, earth embankment or levee, the effective height of the system structure can be increased. The liquid impervious liner material provides a watertight surface, joining media, and the anchoring of the lightweight fill material to the existing berm. The system may use solid wall hollow body structures. The system may also use flexible and liquid porous geotextile structures including geotubes. The liquid impervious liners retain the liquid in the retention pond.
Edge stabilization assembly for golf courses, shorelines and playgrounds
An edge stabilization assembly for inclined surfaces having a synthetic tuft assembly; a water-permeable polymer mesh connected on one side of the synthetic tuft assembly, and a tuft-free non-permeable woven polymer mat connected on the other side of the synthetic tuft assembly, and a plurality of fasteners.
Anti-erosion system made of geosynthetic material
The present invention relates to an anti-erosion system made of geo-synthetic material, preferably of polysteel raw material (polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) mixture) instead of only polypropylene or polyester or nylon, resulting in a compromise between the mechanical properties of polypropylene, the chemical properties of polyethylene, and the good resistance to the environmental agents achieved through the incorporation of molecular chain stabilizers. The fraction of PP should range from 50% to 90% and the fraction of PE from 10% to 50%.
EROSION CONTROL APPARATUS
The present invention relates to an erosion control apparatus and methods of using and installing the apparatus. The apparatus is constructed to prevent erosion of soil during typical weather or tidal conditions and adverse weather events. The apparatus can include a plurality of anchored rolls and soil lifts operative to stabilize the shoreline.
