Erosion control apparatus
The present invention relates to an erosion control apparatus and methods of using and installing the apparatus. The apparatus is constructed to prevent erosion of soil during typical weather or tidal conditions and adverse weather events. The apparatus can include a plurality of anchored rolls and soil lifts operative to stabilize the shoreline.
Sealing arrangement for a connection between two connecting elements of an offshore structure and method for producing same
Seal arrangement for a joint of two joint elements, in particular realized as a monopile and a transition piece, of an offshore structure, preferably an offshore wind energy installation, in particular a substructure thereof, in which, for the purpose of producing a stable joint, an upper joint element and a lower joint element are inserted into each other in a clamping manner by means of at least one seal unit, comprising one of the joint elements and the at least one seal unit fixed to the joint element, in such a manner that the seal unit, in a joining position, is arranged between an inner joint surface of one joint element and an outer joint surface of the other joint element, at least one seal unit having at least one elastic sealing element, which extends in the circumferential direction around the entire circumference and the thickness (D) of which is greater than the thickness (D) of an adjoining seal unit region and method for producing a seal arrangement.
Seawall construction using concrete forms
A method for constructing a seawall section includes coupling an end of a substantially-waterproof barrier member to a footing. A concrete form is mounted to the footing such that a top end of the form is higher than an exposed upper surface of the footing. The concrete form defines at least part of a fill volume. Another end of the barrier member is coupled to the concrete form such that the barrier member extends over a side of the concrete form opposite the fill volume. Concrete is then poured into the fill volume and cured to form the seawall section. Prior to the curing, a body of water at the footing may be higher than the upper surface of the footing. However, the barrier member prevents water from entering the fill volume through the concrete form.
EROSION CONTROL APPARATUS
The present invention relates to an erosion control apparatus and methods of using and installing the apparatus. The apparatus is constructed to prevent erosion of soil during typical weather or tidal conditions and adverse weather events. The apparatus can include an anchored marsh installation operative to stabilize a tidal marsh and shoreline.
INTELLIGENT BIONIC SCOURING PROTECTION STRUCTURE FOR BUCKET FOUNDATION AND APPLICATION METHOD THEREFOR
The present invention relates to an intelligent bionic scouring protection structure for a cylindrical foundation and an application method thereof, wherein the protection structure is formed by connecting bionic units; an uppermost layer of the bionic unit is a bionic grass bundle, a bottom end of the bionic grass bundle is sleeved inside a bundle tube, the bundle tube is fixedly connected with a fiber mesh layer through a binding wire, connecting rings are fixed at both ends of the fiber mesh layer through the binding wire, two adjacent fiber mesh layers are connected through the connecting ring; and a bottom portion of the bionic unit is provided with a seabed connecting structure for fixing the whole protection structure. The above protection structure with an upper layer, a middle layer and a lower layer is adopted to replace traditional hard scouring protection such as ripraps and sand bags.
System and method for assisting and improving the installation of playground equipment and other related components and/or a system with life-size layout templates and a methodology for installation of foundations and other structures called SURFIRE TEMPLATE
A system for assisting and improving the installation of playground equipment and related components, the system includes a life-size layout templates and a methodology for installation of foundations and other structures. The system tarp has holes at strategic locations which can be laid on the ground for marking the ground at each of the holes for foundations of the equipment and components of the equipment. For footing and foundation layouts, the required footings dimensions can be printed on life size/to scale tarps or fabric which can be laid out in the installation area and positioned to the exact needed use zone or placement of the site. After the position has been confirmed the footings can be cut to the appropriate footing size and excavated, giving a clean/dry work area and can be left to remain on the ground as a weed/vegetation barrier.
Multilayer membrane for construction
A multilayer membrane may be suitable for construction, and/ir adapted to be installed between a wall of a seat obtained in the ground and a concrete structure. The multilayer membrane may include: a first layer including thermoplastic polymeric material, impermeable or substantially impermeable to water; a second layer including thermoplastic polymeric material, impermeable or substantially impermeable to methane gas and/or radon gas and/or volatile organic compounds (VOC), fixed to the first layer and adapted to be positioned, when the membrane is installed, between the first layer and a concrete structure.
