Sheet piling and installation method
A sheet piling for mandrel-installed engagement with an identical adjacent sheet piling. The mandrel has a guide hook and a rotating toe protector. The sheet piling has a female interlocking feature with a pair of hooks and an engagement hook for releasably engaging the mandrel guide hook. The sheet piling also has a male interlocking feature with a pair of hooks configured to engage the pair of female hooks of an adjacent sheet piling in a multi-piling wall structure.
Brace assembly for a geosynthetic wrapped system used to construct stabilized earth walls and slopes
A bracing assembly for a geosynthetic wrapped system is provided. The bracing assembly includes a standing brace bar, a bottom brace bar, and a cross brace bar having different configurations to facilitate both easy and mistake free assembly of the bracing assembly. Furthermore, the standing brace bar and the bottom brace bar include guide tips that are sized and shaped to direct insertion of the standing brace bar and the bottom brace bar respectively into a weave of a geotextile fabric material such that a first connector of the bottom brace bar and a first connection slot of the standing brace bar are aligned together and with a fold line of the geotextile fabric material.
UNDERGROUND UTILITY ENCLOSURE SYSTEM AND METHOD
An underground utility enclosure system and method for installation over a junction point for underground utility conduit, cables, wires, and pipes, providing lighter less-expensive shatterproof enclosures, which can be more quickly manufactured and transported, more easily stored and handled on-site, and more easily installed with less heavy equipment and fewer personnel. A corrugated enclosure body made of a shatterproof polymer material has annular correlation, and allows for slight deformation to accommodate underground obstacles and allows on-site cutting and modification with available hand tools to adapt to different installation needs, allowing the purchase and storage of a smaller number of different sizes and configurations of enclosures to address a greater number of installation circumstances. At least three anchor loops provide for efficient handing and installation. A fitted lid available in various materials provides appropriate strength at an appropriate cost for different installation needs. The underground utility enclosure can optionally be provided as a kit.
High-capacity threaded bar micropile and caisson reinforcement compression spacer
Various examples are provided related to compression spacers which can be utilized in the construction of, e.g., a micropile or drilled shaft. In one example, a high-capacity compression spacer includes a grout vessel body including: a grout receiving portion defined by a bottom of the grout vessel body and a portion of a sidewall of the grout vessel body; a bar receiving portion extending from the grout receiving portion to a lip defining an opening of the grout vessel body; and a plurality of tie wire insertion holes distributed about the bar receiving portion. Each of the plurality of tie wire insertion holes can be configured for insertion of a tie wire. The grout vessel body can be a single piece, molded body. The grout receiving portion can be filled with a high-strength, non-expanding grout or concrete.
Multilayer membrane for construction
A multilayer membrane may be suitable for construction, and/ir adapted to be installed between a wall of a seat obtained in the ground and a concrete structure. The multilayer membrane may include: a first layer including thermoplastic polymeric material, impermeable or substantially impermeable to water; a second layer including thermoplastic polymeric material, impermeable or substantially impermeable to methane gas and/or radon gas and/or volatile organic compounds (VOC), fixed to the first layer and adapted to be positioned, when the membrane is installed, between the first layer and a concrete structure.
