Geomembrane, Landfill Sheet Using Same, and Radon Barrier Film
There is provided a geomembrane consisting of a multilayer structure comprising a barrier layer (A), an adhesive layer (B) made of an acid-modified thermoplastic resin and a thermoplastic resin layer (C), wherein the thermoplastic resin layer (C) is laminated on at least one side of the barrier layer (A) via the adhesive layer (B), and the barrier layer (A) has an ethylene unit content of 18 mol % or more and 55 mol % or less and comprises a modified ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer comprising a modifying group having a primary hydroxyl group. The geomembrane exhibits excellent peer strength between the barrier layer and the adhesive layer, exhibits further improved peel strength after prolonged exposure to high temperature and high humidity conditions.
Wedge-weldable manufactured composite having synthetic vegetation and impermeable geomembrane
A manufactured composite comprising synthetic turf and impermeable geomembrane is used in a single-layer capping system as the single layer to provide permanent, impermeable and functional aesthetic cover for a job site. During installation of composite pieces at a job site, an edge portion of a tufted section of a second composite piece is overlaid onto an edge untufted section of the first composite piece already laid and anchored over foundation soil to form a reinforced overlapping seam, through which the two composite pieces are physically and permanently joined together. As composite pieces are joined together, the continuity of synthetic grass and the continuity of impermeability are extended and realized over the entire site to form permanent, impermeable and functional aesthetic cover for a job site.
Prop
The present disclosure relates to a prop (10) comprising a first tube (14) and a second tube (16). The first tube (14) is telescopically connected to the second tube (16) for axially displacing the second tube (16) between a retracted position and an extended position. The first and second tubes (14, 16) each comprise a loading end for receiving an axial load from opposing load surfaces (62, 64) in the extended position. The first tube (14) and the second tube (16) are made from a plastics material.
Sheet pile of concrete and wall comprising a plurality of said sheet piles
A sheet pile of concrete comprising a reinforcement (1) which is produced from composite material comprising fibres and a concrete casting (2) which extends between a first lateral end (3) thereof and an opposite second lateral end (4) thereof, the reinforcement (1) being embedded in the concrete casting (2). The sheet pile further comprises a terminal element (6) which is produced from a polymer material and which comprises a connection element (7) which is embedded in the concrete casting (2) and an engagement element (8) of the sheet pile (100) which is connected to the connection element (7). The connection element (7) and the engagement element (8) extend along a longitudinal axis (X) of the sheet pile, in which the engagement element (8) has a practically C-shaped cross-section and projects from the first lateral end (3) of the concrete casting (2). The second lateral end (4) of the concrete casting (2) comprises a concrete joint (9) which extends longitudinally along the longitudinal axis (X) and which is shaped so as to be connected in an interlocking manner to the engagement element (8) of a second sheet pile.
Pole shield
The present disclosure relates to a pole shield for extending around a pole structure. The pole shield comprises a sheet of composite material forming a hollow structure having an open first end and an opposed open second end. The sheet of composite material comprises from about 0% to about 80% by weight of a reinforcement impregnated with about 20% to about 50% of a polyurethane resin composition comprising a combination of a polyol component and a polyisocyanate component. Two or more pole shields may be stacked one on top of the other to form a pole shield structure which extends the height of protection of the pole structure. The pole shield can be used for protecting a pole structure from damage, such as from fire, rain, wind, sand, ice, pests, moisture or electrical. The pole shield may also be used to provide structural support to a pole structure.
Composite manhole cover with embedded detection
A composite manhole cover includes a body made of a polymer adapted to accommodate an embedded magnetic material embedded as well as function enhancing electronics.
Composite Manhole Cover with Embedded Detection
A composite manhole cover includes a body made of a polymer that has a mass of magnetic material embedded there within. The mass of magnetic material is detectable by a metal detector and, therefore, the composite manhole is locatable by the metal detector when the composite manhole cover is obscured by a material such as pavement, dirt, sand, grass/sod, etc.
