TIMED AND/OR TARGETED CHLORATE ADMINISTRATION, AND RELATED MATRICES, COMPOSITIONS, IMPLANTS, METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR PREVENTION AND/OR TREATMENT OF INFECTIONS
Methods and systems and related compositions, matrices and devices, for timed and/or targeted administration of chlorate for treatment and/or prevention of infections of a biological environment and related compositions, devices, matrices and implants. Chlorate administration can be performed alone or in combination with an antibiotic in a location and/or time targeted manner, the concentration and use of the chlorate and/or the antibiotic agents depending on the oxic/hypoxic/anoxic condition of the area being treated.
System for sterilizing equipment, associated method, and chlorine dioxide gas generating device for use with same
A chlorine dioxide gas generating system for sterilizing equipment in a chamber is provided. The system includes a chlorine dioxide gas generating device configured to generate chlorine dioxide gas, a vacuum pump, and a port assembly comprising a port member fluidly coupled to the vacuum pump and configured to be maintained in an interior of the chamber. The vacuum pump is configured to pump the chlorine dioxide gas from the device into the chamber through the port member in order to sterilize the equipment, and after a predetermined period of time, pull a gas other than the chlorine dioxide gas into and out of the chamber at least one time through the port member in order to remove humidity from the chamber and cause the chlorine dioxide gas to be drawn out of the chamber through the port member.
Hypochlorite compositions, methods of manufacture and uses thereof
The present invention relates to a family of very stable aqueous hypochlorite products and methods for reducing the self reactivity of Ca(OCl).sub.2.
Apparatus for generating dry mist
A dry mist generating apparatus has a plastic housing, an ultrasonic transducer, a fan inducing airflow within the plastic housing, a diffuser plate for directing airflow, increasing velocity, and decreasing pressure, at least one opening for releasing the resulting dry mist, and a reservoir for capturing droplets that exceed 4 microns.
COAXIAL TUBULAR FLUID TREATMENT DEVICE AND SYSTEM
Various implementations include a fluid treatment device. The device includes an outer tube, an inner tube, a plurality of blades, and a media. The outer tube includes an inner surface. The inner tube is coaxially disposed within the outer tube. An outer surface of the inner tube and the inner surface of the outer tube define an annulus that axially extends between the ends of the inner tube. The plurality of blades is disposed within the annulus. The plurality of blades is configured to alter a component of a flow direction of fluid flowing over the blades in a circumferential direction and/or a radial direction. The media is disposed within the inner tube. The inner tube defines a plurality of perforations extending between its outer surface and inner surface. The annulus defines an entire flow path of fluid flowing between the outer tube and the inner tube.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING HYPOCHLOROUS ACID
The present disclosure provides compositions, products, kits and methods for producing on demand hypochlorous acid solutions. The present disclosure provides a stable, dry mix product, kit or package that can be employed by an end-user to easily prepare a hypochlorous acid composition with desired features and functionality.
Reusable hydrophilic urinary catheter assembly
A reusable urinary catheter assembly comprises a storage container defining a cavity, a hydration liquid and a reusable urinary catheter. The hydration liquid includes a disinfection medium and a hydrophilic polymer. The viscosity of the hydration liquid is 40 cP or lower. The reusable urinary catheter includes a shaft, and at least a part of the shaft is provided with a hydrophilic surface. During storage, the shaft is enclosed within the cavity in a storage position. The hydration fluid hydrates and regenerates the hydrophilic surface and disinfects the catheter. The catheter is configured to be repeatedly inserted into and removed from the storage container.
Moving handrail sterilizing apparatus
Disclosed is a moving handrail sterilizing apparatus. The moving handrail sterilizing apparatus includes: a moving handrail; a first sterilizing unit which is disposed so as to be in contact with one side of the moving handrail and wipes away foreign substances on a surface of the handrail; a sterilizing panel which is disposed on one side of the first sterilizing unit and irradiates the first sterilizing unit with ultraviolet rays and plasma; a second sterilizing unit, which is spaced a certain distance from the first sterilizing unit along the direction in which the moving handrail moves, is provided below the moving handrail and provides a sterilizing agent to the moving handrail; and an air blower fan which is disposed between the second sterilizing unit and the moving handrail and blows air so that the sterilizing agent is uniformly supplied to the moving handrail.
CATHETERS
The invention provides a reusable urinary catheter kit comprising a container comprising: a urinary catheter; and a medium comprising at least one species independently chosen from: hypochlorous acid, at least one hypochlorite salt, chlorine dioxide, and combinations thereof. The invention further provides a method of sterilising and/or lubricating a reusable urinary catheter using at least one species independently chosen from: hypochlorous acid, at least one hypochlorite salt, chlorine dioxide, and combinations thereof.
CATHETERS
A reusable urinary catheter kit that has a container that has a urinary catheter and a medium. The reusable urinary catheter kit also has at least one chlorine-containing species. The container of the reusable urinary catheter kit is resealable. Further, the catheter in the reusable urinary catheter kit is an intermittent urinary catheter.
