TRACTOR MOUNTED EXCAVATION IMPLEMENT ENHANCEMENTS AND EXPANSIONS
20180027723 · 2018-02-01 ·

The objective of this application is to reveal enhancements and extensions of the previously patented Tractor-Mounted Excavation Implement, awarded Nov. 24, 2015 to Bruce Wade McGee, and assigned U.S. Pat. No. 9,194,103 B2. McGee's Tractor Mounted Excavation Implement is useful in small-scale construction, hobby farming or gardening, landscaping, irrigation, utilities and pipe laying, roadside or city development and maintenance in some areas, land-owner maintenance, and possibly firefighting with rapid excavation needs in some less dense forests. This application adds apparatuses to include usefulness in creating gardening or landscaping beds, and shallow graded excavations for sidewalk or simple slabs. Additionally, several other changes are proposed that enhance and extend usefulness of the implement, including improved power diversion to the implement's apparatuses, improved cutting element configuration, and an enhanced axle that more effectively loosens soil for excavation and sweeps excavated soil laterally.

Trenching System

A system for uncovering and sealing a narrow trench. The system comprises several subsystems, including a work machine, a frame for providing a seal with the surface to be trenched, a saw blade, a vacuum system, a system for placing product, and a resealer. The blade includes rotatable tooth bits, which may be rotated and secured to create a blade for narrower or a wider trench. A removable cover and the blade are easily changeable. A surface engaging member on the frame is manipulated to maintain a seal with changing ground surfaces. Additionally, the vertical location of the blade within the frame is adjustable to create a deeper or shallower trench.

Trenching System With Hydraulically Adjustable Hub

A system for uncovering a trench. The system comprises several subsystems, including a work machine and a frame for providing a seal with the surface to be trenched with a saw blade contained therein. The blade is supported on a hub which is slidably movable relative to the frame by operation of a linear actuator, which may be a hydraulic cylinder or the like. The vertical location of the blade within the frame is continuously adjustable to create a deeper or shallower trench. A monitoring system is provided to monitor the vertical location from an operator station.

A high-frequency vibrating transverse drum cutter head, and a drum cutter machine and a tunnel boring machine with such drum cutter head are disclosed. The transverse drum cutter wheel of the high-frequency vibrating transverse drum cutter head is driven by the cutting motor to rotate, the transverse drum cutter wheel is provided with cutting teeth, the transverse drum cutter wheel is mounted on one end of the drum cutter head base, the other end of the drum cutter head base is connected to a U-shaped drum cutter mechanism body, a connecting base is mounted on the U-shaped drum cutter mechanism body and used for mounting the high-frequency vibrating transverse drum cutter head on a drum cutter machine or a tunnel boring machine, a vibration box is mounted on the drum cutter head base, and the vibration box is adapted to output high-frequency vibration force to the transverse drum cutter wheel through the drum cutter head base, so that the transverse drum cutter wheel 16 is able to perform high-speed repetitive vibrating movement while achieving its own rotation. Both rotation motion and high frequency repetitive vibration can be implemented at the same time by the present invention, trough the combination of the transverse drum cutter wheel and the vibration box, making the cutting teeth on the drum cutter wheel apply combined action of impacting and cutting on the contacted materials, so as to break hard rock easily.

PIVOTALLY FLEXIBLE MOUNTING INTERFACE FOR A ROTATABLE SHAFT
20170159261 · 2017-06-08 ·

A pivotally flexible motor mount for a rotary trenching tool allows for increased life of the overall system. A flexible motor mount includes a universal pivot arrangement that allows a motor housing to universally pivot relative to a boom to accommodate misalignment between a motor shaft axis and a rock wheel rotation axis. The flexible motor mount also includes a first pair of spherical connection joints aligned along a first pivot axis and a second pair of spherical connection joints aligned along a second pivot axis. The first and second pivot axes are generally perpendicular relative to one another. The flexible motor mount further includes a component mounting plate attached to the motor housing and an intermediate plate coupled to the component mounting plate by the first pair of spherical connection joints. The intermediate plate is also coupled to the boom by the second pair of spherical connection joints.

Valve Assembly For Work Attachment
20170152646 · 2017-06-01 ·

A hydraulic control for an attachment on a work vehicle. The attachment is mounted on the chassis of the work vehicle and movable between a first position and a second position. A hydraulic cylinder is operable to power movement of the attachment. A fluid circuit communicates with the hydraulic cylinder and is configured to carry hydraulic fluid. A fluid reservoir is in communication with the fluid circuit. Accumulators that are in communication with the fluid circuit automatically store and release hydraulic fluid in response to movement of the attachment. A valve assembly controls fluid communication between the fluid reservoir and the fluid circuit in response to movement of the attachment to its second position.

Dust suppression arrangement for heavy excavation equipment

An excavation apparatus is disclosed. The excavation apparatus includes a chassis having a length that extends from a front end to a rear end of the chassis. The chassis also has a width oriented perpendicular to the length. A boom is pivotally attached to the rear end of the chassis. A cutting component mounted to the boom. A shroud structure at least partially covers the cutting component. A source of vacuum is in fluid communication with an interior of the shroud structure for drawing air containing dust from the interior of the shroud structure. A filter filters the air drawn from the interior of the shroud structure by the source of vacuum. A dust barrier projects downwardly from the shroud structure and extends along at least a portion of a perimeter of the shroud structure. The dust barrier has a construction that is pervious to debris generated by the cutting component and that provides gradually reduced restriction to inward air flow through the dust barrier as the dust barrier extends downwardly from the shroud structure.
