Equalizer for a mining shovel
An equalizer assembly for a mining machine includes a single piece cast equalizer having a first end and a second, opposite end. The assembly also includes a first end cap configured to be coupled to a dipper of the mining machine, the first end cap including a first bushing configured to receive the first end of the equalizer. The assembly also includes a second end cap configured to be coupled to the dipper of the mining machine, the second end cap including a second bushing configured to receive the second end of the equalizer.
Dragline Oval Two-Piece Bushing
A bushing assembly comprises a flanged bushing including a flange portion including a flange anti-rotation feature, and a shaft portion with an outer cylindrical surface extending from the flange portion, terminating at a free end, the outer cylindrical surface including external threads disposed proximate the free end, and a retaining ring including an annular configuration defining an inner cylindrical surface defining internal threads complimentarily shaped to mate with the external threads of the outer cylindrical surface.

Method for making suspension cable to desired length
A method for making a suspension cable to a desired length is provided. The method includes providing an initial pin hole on a tab of a socket associated with the cable. The method includes stretching the cable to a desired percentage of a rated breaking strength of the cable. The method includes measuring a length of the cable. The method includes determining a position of a final pin hole to be formed on the tab based on the measured length of the cable and a predefined tolerance. The method includes creating the final pin hole at the determined position.
LINK WITH SWIVEL BALL BUSHING ROTATABLE IN OPPOSING DIRECTIONS
An end link for use with heavy equipment includes a body and a swivel ball bushing. The body has first and second openings and defines a main body plane. The first opening has a slot located on a side thereof proximate the second opening and a truncated substantially spherical inner surface. The swivel ball bushing is seated within the first opening. The swivel ball bushing has a truncated substantially spherical outer surface in nesting engagement with the inner surface of the body and a projection at one end seated in the slot. The projection and slot are shaped to allow rotation of the swivel ball bushing relative to the body in two opposing directions about one axis of rotation or two mutually perpendicular axes of rotation.
PIPELINE PADDING MACHINE ELEVATOR SELF-CLEANING SYSTEM
A self-cleaning elevator flight bracket system is described for attachment to an elevator or conveyor flight for pipeline padding and backfill operations. The system is designed for bolt-on installation to padding equipment elevator flights, or cleated conveyor feeders. Built-up soil, clay, and other debris, which interfere with elevator drive mechanisms, are self-cleaned with the system. The assembly is universal to fit a variety of existing bolt patterns on elevator flight plates or feeder conveyor cleats. Flexible cables are directed to engage and remove excessive backfill material build-up. While operating padding machinery in heavy soil, or clay, material builds up in the space between the elevator flights and the elevator side wall. This leads to impeding the drive mechanism. With the use of the presently described elevator flight bracket and flexible cable or fingers, the upward movement of the elevator acts to self-clean the machinery and allows for longer operation.
Advanced fiber rope boom pendant technologies for heavy equipment
A method and hardware for damping and controlling unwanted motion in the fixed rigging of large machines. In a first approach large clamp blocks are added to multi-cable rigging systems. These blocks use a first cable to damp the motion of an adjacent cable. The invention also encompasses adding armored sections to synthetic cables to enhance their abrasion resistance and cut resistance.
PLATE COMPACTOR
A compactor includes a plate, a frame coupled to the plate, and an exciter assembly coupled to the plate and including an exciter shaft, an exciter pulley on the exciter shaft, and an eccentric weight on the exciter shaft. The compactor also includes a motor coupled to the frame and having an output shaft and a drive pulley on the output shaft, a belt wrapped around the exciter pulley and the drive pulley at a minimum tension value for transferring torque from the drive pulley to the exciter pulley, causing it to rotate, and a sensing circuit configured to detect if the tension in the belt is below the minimum tension value.
