Implement mounting assembly and method for managing a cable used for mounting the same to a vehicle

The present technology generally relates to an auto-release cable management assembly for operating a work implement mountable to an implement mounting assembly of a vehicle, the auto-release cable management assembly comprising: a mounting structure connectable to the implement mounting assembly; the mounting structure forming a first underside guide surface for guiding a retractable cable operatively connectable to the vehicle; a hook connected to the mounting structure and suitable for retaining the retractable cable; a gate structured and positioned with respect to the hook to be movable between an open position in which the hook is accessible to the retractable cable, and a closed position in which the hook is inaccessible to the retractable cable; and a guide forming a second underside guide surface for guiding the retractable cable towards the hook and the gate.

DOZER BLADE DRIVE MECHANISM

A dozer blade drive mechanism includes: a connection member rotatably connected to a vehicle body of a construction machine at a first connection point, the connection member being capable of having a dozer blade mounted to a second connection point opposite to the first connection point; a motive power generating device including an electric motor serving as a drive source, the motive power generating device being configured to generate torque around a torque central axis parallel to a rotation central axis of the connection member; and a link mechanism configured to transmit the torque generated by the motive power generating device as a rotational motion of the dozer blade around the rotation central axis. The torque central axis is located between the dozer blade and a middle of a line segment connecting the first connection point and the second connection point.

A work machine includes a vehicle body including a travel device, a blade supported so as to be rotatable about a pitch axis with respect to the vehicle body, a pitch actuator configured to cause the blade to perform a pitch motion about the pitch axis, and a controller. The determines whether a slip occurs on the travel device during work with the blade, and causes the blade to perform the pitch motion in a backward tilt direction upon determining that the slip occurs.

Excavator coupling system

An excavator coupling system for coupling a trailer hitch device to a dozer blade of an excavator. The excavator coupling system includes a keyhole component disposed on a front surface of the dozer blade of the excavator and a key component coupled with the trailer hitch device. The keyhole and key components are designed to forming a positive connection to couple the trailer hitch device to the dozer blade. The keyhole component is on the front of the dozer blade and provide for coupling the trailer hitch device to the dozer blade without accessing a rear portion of the dozer blade.

Optimizing blade engagement depth using engine load data

A control device receives, from an engine load sensor device, a value of an engine load of an engine of an equipment operating in an operating environment. The control device compares the value of the engine load to a target engine load range defined by a minimum target engine load value and a maximum target engine load value. Responsive to determining that the value of the engine load is less than the minimum target engine load value, the control device lowers a cutting blade of the equipment to increase an engagement of the cutting blade with a surface or subsurface. Responsive to determining that the engine load is greater than the maximum target engine load value, the control device raises the cutting blade of the equipment to decrease the engagement of the cutting blade with the surface or subsurface.

Implement connection system and vehicle having same

An implement connection system for connecting an implement to a vehicle. The implement connection system includes a pin having a distal portion defining a distal end of the pin and a proximal portion defining a proximal end of the pin. The distal portion is adapted to be received by an implement connector. The implement connection system also includes a fastener extending into the pin for removably fastening the pin to a portion of the vehicle. The proximal end is disposed between the distal end and the portion of the vehicle when the pin is fastened to the portion of the vehicle.
