One embodiment is a tow-behind grading tool structured for attachment to a work machine. The tool includes a frame, ground contacting members rotatably coupled with the frame, a comb coupled with the frame and extending from a first end of the frame, a tow coupling member coupled with the frame and located proximate a second end of the frame, the second end of the frame being opposite the first end of the frame, a drag bar assembly including a plurality of arms rotatably coupled with the frame and drag bar rotatably coupled with the plurality of arms, and at least one spring coupled with the frame and the drag bar assembly such that the spring resists upward rotation of the drag bar and provides force urging the drag bar to rotate downward after upward rotation of the drag bar.

Leveler brush for road construction

A device movable across a road to level emulsion thereon. A wheeled frame includes brushes extending downward to engage the emulsion. A manual worm gear connected between the frame and a towbar assembly positions the towbar mount to connect to a vehicle hitch and vertically moves the frame while maintaining the brush contacting plane. Spring biased guide wheels position the brushes to contact the road surface even though the surface is uneven.

DAMPENING DEVICE

Dampening device (1) for a Dozer blade (10) and related earthwork equipment (100); the blade (10) being carried by a frame (102) of the equipment (100) through the interposition of an actuating unit (106) suitable to adjust the vertical position of the blade (10); an axial-symmetrical member (11) being carried by the frame (102) to dampen oscillations associated, in use, to the forward movement of the blade (10).

Remote control leveler brush for road construction

A device movable across a road to level emulsion thereon. A wheeled frame includes brushes extending downward to engage the emulsion. A manual worm gear connected between the frame and a towbar assembly positions the towbar mount to connect to a vehicle hitch and vertically moves the frame while maintaining the brush contacting plane. A linear actuator along with side plane adjusters position the brushes to contact the road surface even though the surface is uneven.

Motor grader rear object detection path of travel width

Detecting a surface irregularity on a surface for a vehicle moving forwardly or rearwardly along the surface, the vehicle having a frame supported by wheels and an implement adjustably coupled to the frame. Two of front and rear steering positions and an implement position are used to determine a path of travel of the vehicle. Surface irregularities of the surface within the path of travel are determined which triggers a warning to the vehicle. The speed of the vehicle can be decreased automatically to stop the vehicle before the vehicle impacts the surface irregularity. A vehicle zone of operation is determined based on the path of travel and a corresponding pair of gridlines is displayed on user interface. The pair of gridlines vary in shape, color, position, and orientation as the path of travel changes. The surface irregularity is illuminated relative to the pair of gridlines on the operator display.

Operator assist algorithm for an earth moving machine

A system and method are provided for assisting a machine operator in controlling a work tool of the machine. In an embodiment, the work tool is set at a first height and the machine is travelling at a first machine speed, resulting in a first work tool or machine load. Based on these factors, a first work tool control mode or second work tool control mode is chosen. In the first work tool control mode, the work tool is manually controlled within a load limit and a work tool height limit, whereas in the second work tool control mode, the work tool load is controlled toward the first work tool load. Based on operator inputs and machine state, as well as other factors such as ground surface, the machine may switch between control modes, or out of automatic work tool control entirely.

MOLDBOARD MODULAR RAIL DESIGN

A moldboard assembly and method of reinforcing a moldboard assembly is disclosed. The moldboard assembly may comprise a moldboard including a front and a back, an upper rail and a lower rail spaced apart from the upper rail, and a back plate. The upper rail and the lower rail each may be mounted to and extend lengthwise across the back of the moldboard. The upper rail may be oriented to slope upward at a first angle from a vertical plane, and the lower rail may be oriented to slope downward at a second angle from the vertical plane. Each of the upper rail and lower rail include a top, a bottom, an inner side and an outer side disposed opposite to the inner side. The back plate may be mounted to the inner side of the upper rail and to the inner side of the lower rail.

Two stage moldboard rail cleaner

A moldboard rail cleaner for removing debris from a rail of a work machine having a tilt frame housing defining a first cavity. The work machine has a wear insert positioned within the first cavity and adapted to slide along the rail as the rail moves along a rail axis. Further, a sub-housing may be coupled to the tilt frame housing and define a second cavity. Finally, a wiper is disposed at least partially within the second cavity, the sub-housing configured to bias the wiper into contact with the rail.

HYDRAULIC SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING AN IMPLEMENT OF A WORKING MACHINE

A hydraulic system is provided for a working machine, that includes a hydraulic cylinder for raising and lowering an implement The hydraulic system includes a sensor for measuring a pressure in the hydraulic cylinder; and a control unit for controlling the movement of the hydraulic cylinder; wherein the control unit is configured to compare a pressure value measured by the sensor with a preset target pressure level range and to control the pressure in the hydraulic cylinder to be within the preset target pressure level range by adding or draining hydraulic fluid to/from a pressure side of the hydraulic cylinder for maintaining a substantially constant ground contact force between the implement and the ground.
