STERILIZATION METHOD AND STERILIZATION DEVICE
A sterilization device (1) includes a peroxynitric acid gas generation section (10) and a sterilization treatment section (20). The peroxynitric acid gas generation section (10) generates peroxynitric acid gas obtained by gasifying a peroxynitric acid-containing liquid. In so doing, for example, the peroxynitric acid gas generation section (10) generates a peroxynitric acid mist by ultrasonically atomizing the peroxynitric acid-containing and causes the liquid, peroxynitric acid gas to be generated from the peroxynitric acid mist. The sterilization treatment section (20) applies the peroxynitric acid gas to a sterilization target (22) to sterilize the sterilization target (22).
SPACE PURIFICATION DEVICE
A space purification device according to the present disclosure includes: electrolysis bath; water supply unit; electrode unit (140); first calculator (510) that calculates an increased concentration of hypochlorous acid water per unit time based on (i) a first sodium chloride concentration that is a sodium chloride concentration in the electrolysis bath after the sodium chloride concentration has changed due to an input of the electrolysis accelerator into the electrolysis bath and (ii) hypochlorous acid generation efficiency per unit time set in advance; second calculator (512) that calculates, based on a target hypochlorous acid water concentration in the electrolysis bath, a first hypochlorous acid water concentration that is a hypochlorous acid water concentration in the electrolysis bath before energization by electrode unit (140), and the increased concentration of hypochlorous acid water per unit time calculated by first calculator (510), a required energization time for achieving the target hypochlorous acid water concentration; and electrode controller (540) that performs energization in electrode unit (140) for the required energization time calculated by second calculator (512).
INTERMITTENT CATHETER STORAGE/STERILISATION
A catheter storage and sterilisation device (99); the device comprising a catheter-receiving chamber (10) for receiving a catheter (1); a sterilisation fluid storage means (70) for storing a sterilisation fluid and an atomiser (53) or vaporiser configured to atomise or vaporise the sterilisation fluid to form an atomised or vaporised sterilisation fluid and to supply the atomised or vaporised sterilisation fluid to the catheter-receiving chamber (10).
CATHETERS
The invention provides a reusable urinary catheter kit comprising a container comprising: a urinary catheter; and a medium comprising at least one species independently chosen from: hypochlorous acid, at least one hypochlorite salt, chlorine dioxide, and combinations thereof. The invention further provides a method of sterilising and/or lubricating a reusable urinary catheter using at least one species independently chosen from: hypochlorous acid, at least one hypochlorite salt, chlorine dioxide, and combinations thereof.
APPARATUS FOR GENERATING DRY MIST
A dry mist generating apparatus has a housing, an ultrasonic transducer, a fan inducing airflow within the plastic housing, a diffuser plate for directing airflow, increasing velocity, and decreasing pressure, at least one opening for releasing the resulting dry mist, and a reservoir for capturing droplets that exceed 4 microns. A dry mist system may include one or more sensors, communication devices, and processors, which are all configured to monitor and automatically sanitize a given area in response to a triggering event, such as detecting airborne pathogens. Separate zones may be defined, with each having at least one sensor and/or a dry mist generating apparatus. Some dry mist systems may be sized so as to be portable and placeable on a desk or counter with a swappable reservoir.
DISINFECTION OR INACTIVATION METHOD FOR SPACE
Provided is a method of disinfecting or inactivating a germ or virus floating in a space, the method comprising the steps of: preparing a humidifier filled with an aqueous solution containing hypochlorous acid as a main component; and operating the humidifier to spray the aqueous solution containing hypochlorous acid as a main component into the space; wherein the spraying is performed while humidifying the space, and wherein 40 mol % or more of chlorine in the aqueous solution is chlorine that makes up hypochlorous acid.
Sanitising system for drinking water systems
A system for sanitising a fluid pathway in a drinking water dispensing assembly may include: a supply of water to be delivered under pressure through the fluid pathway; and a sanitising solution to be dispensed into the fluid pathway via a flow restrictor. The flow restrictor is configured to regulate the flow rate of the solution delivered to the fluid pathway to facilitate mixing between the water and the solution to an effective sanitising concentration within the fluid pathway.
