Microtrencher having an improved vacuum system and method of microtrenching
A microtrencher having a vacuum system configured to clean spoil from a microtrench having a side shroud and a suction nozzle. A method of using the microtrencher to cut a microtrench in a roadway and using the vacuum system to clean spoil from the roadway and microtrench.
Combination coring machine and vacuum excavation rig
A core drill apparatus includes a swing arm pivotably couplable to a mobile platform and a core drill carried by the swing arm. The core drill being movable via the swing arm between a stowed position and a deployed position with respect to the mobile platform. An excavation rig incorporating the same is also provided.
HYDRO-VAC FITTING
A fitting for an excavating apparatus can include a cylindrical pipe that can include a first metal material. In an example, the fitting can be configured for coupling to a hose. The pipe can include an interior surface and an exterior surface. Optionally, a perimeter of the pipe does not exceed a diameter of a first end of the pipe. The fitting can include a cladding layer (e.g., a second metal material) that can be coupled to the first metal material within the interior surface of the pipe. The cladding layer can include an abrasion-resistant material. The cladding layer can be coupled to the pipe such as with a welding operation. The cladding layer can include one or more ridges. The cladding layer can corregate the interior surface of the fitting and exterior surfaces of the fitting which can come into contact with abrasive material.
HYDRO-VAC FITTING
An elbow fitting for an excavating apparatus can include a curved cylindrical pipe that can include a first metal material.
Trenching methods and apparatus
Methods and apparatus for cutting a trench (e.g., for a fiber optic cable or wire conductors) in an existing covering surface (e.g., a road surface). Debris from the cut trench is evacuated (e.g., vacuumed) from the trench as the trench is cut. The trench may be backfilled using a flowable composition. In one example, the flowable composition rigidifies after being flowed into the trench, and thereafter is substantially impermeable (e.g., having a hydraulic permeability of less than 0.0000001 cm/s upon drying), non-compressible and/or non-expanding.
Boom hose apparatus
A boom hose apparatus for a material collection vehicle includes a telescoping boom assembly and a hose assembly supported by the boom assembly. The boom assembly includes a plurality of telescoping conduits. A flexible hose is received through the telescoping conduits and can slidably extend from, or retract into, the conduits independently from the telescoping of the conduits.
Hydro-Excavation Plug
A plug device for covering a cavity excavated in the ground. The plug device includes a head defined by a plate having a planar upper surface and a planar lower surface, wherein the plate has a size that corresponds to a size of the excavated cavity. The plug device also includes a plurality of anchor members extending axially away from the planar lower surface, and that are configured to secure the plug device to the cavity.
Vehicle with a tiltable material collecting container as well as an emptying module
The invention relates to a vehicle comprising a tiltable material collecting container which is suspended in a tilt axle running parallel to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle and a telescoping device. The tilt axle runs in a plane of symmetry of the material collecting container. The frame-side ends of the telescope arms are pivotably attached to the frame in the central plane. At least one rotary drive is arranged on the container-side end of at least one telescope arm (09) to enable a rotation of the material collecting container about the tile axle. At least one pivot drive, which enables pivoting of the telescope arms out of the center plane of the vehicle in both angular directions, is provided.
SYSTEM, METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SERVICING SUPPORT POLES
An annulus excavation tool that would surround the decayed pole or pile and hydraulically excavate the annulus around the pole down to 2.0 via a jetting manifold. A vacuum/tremie manifold is selectively coupled to a vacuum source to remove the soil and decayed material and creating a bonding surface for the mortar. The annulus tool would then be coupled to the mortar source and raised while a UHPC mortar would be tremied into the tool for delivery into the annulus. When the tool reaches ground level the rest of the pour is done using a Sonotube or other temporary form. This mortar encasement not only makes up for the structural deficiencies but also isolates the pole from both air and water which then kills the existing fungi and insects while also preventing any future invasion.
Reverse Tram Interlock
The present Application discloses a trenching device with two operational modes, Mode 1 and mode 2. In Mode 1, the trenching lever is disengaged, the device does not trench, but only functions as a transporting unit in a forward direction with a maximum speed. In Mode 2, the trenching lever is engaged, the device starts trenching, but stops functioning as a transporting unit.
