IMPROVED SOIL CUTTING DEVICE AND DRUM WITH FORWARDLY INCLINED CUTTING ELEMENT
A device for making a vertical retaining wall and/or foundation includes a frame with a substantially vertically movable outer end, and a cutting frame mounted close to the outer end. The cutting frame has at least one pair of drums rotatable about respective rotation axes that lies parallel to each other so the drums can rotate adjacently of each other. An outer surface of each drum has at least one row with at least five cutter holders extending radially from the outer surface. Each cutter holder has at least one cutting element extending away from the outer surface and having a stop surface which has an angle with a centre line which intersects the rotation axis of the corresponding drum and a centre of the corresponding cutter holder at the outer surface. The drums are driveable to dislodge soil while the outer end is driven into the soil.
LAYING MACHINE AND A BLADE ASSEMBLY
The present invention relates to a laying machine for laying at least one flexible casing or tube, cable or wire including: a blade arrangement for making a trench in the ground, a consolidation and laying means being arranged behind the blade arrangement, for clearing and safe-guarding the trench from collapsing while laying at least one flexible casing or tube, cable or wire into the trench. A blade assembly comprising compartments for cooling fluid and air.
Cyclical sensor array
A non-straight sensor array within a gravity field, within a surface and cyclically surrounding a medial axis. The sensor array includes rigid bodies holding gravimetric tilt sensors, the rigid bodies being connected by flexible joints. The flexibility of the joints is constrained to two degrees of freedom. The shape of the path, the surface, and the medial axis are measured in at least two dimensions, using the tilt sensor data and the geometrical constraints of the joints. The cyclical geometry permits simultaneous measurement of lateral and axial deformations in deployments varying from axially vertical to axially horizontal, as well as improved fit of the array to surrounding surfaces. The field of use includes geotechnical measurements of soil and civil structures.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DEPLOYMENT OF A COMMUNICATION LINE ONTO A SURFACE SUCH AS A ROADWAY OR PATHWAY
A method for adhering a tubular body onto a surface that includes smoothing a portion of the surface to create a smoothed segment of the surface and applying a tubular body directly onto the smoothed segment of the surface after the smoothing of the portion of the surface. The surface at the smoothed segment is smoother than the remainder of the surface. The method further includes applying an uncured protectant onto the tubular body while the tubular body is on the smoothed segment of the surface and curing the uncured protectant into a cured protectant while the uncured protectant is on the tubular body on the smoothed segment of the surface. The cured protectant protectively encases and adheres the tubular body to the surface.
DEVICE FOR LAYING PIPES IN THE GROUND
The present invention relates to a device for laying pipes (1) in the ground, the device comprising a ploughshare (2) with a ploughshare shoe (3), wherein the ploughshare shoe (3) has at least one displacement element (5) protruding in a laying direction (4), a drill (6), which drill (6) is connected to the ploughshare (2) and comprises at least one drill head (7) arranged in a drill head housing section (7a) of a drill housing and a conveyor device (8) arranged in a conveyor housing section (8a) of the drill housing for removing drilled material, and a connection device (9) for connecting a pipe (1) to be laid to the drill (6), wherein the ploughshare (2) is arranged behind the drill (6) when viewed in the laying direction (4).
Cutting tooth system
A cutting tooth system includes a plurality of substrates, each having a base for attaching to the cutting wheel, and an outer surface opposite the base. A plurality of tooth pockets are integrally formed in the substrate, each tooth pocket having a tooth receiving aperture extending through the outer surface and into the substrate. A cutting tooth has a pocket engagement portion configured for being received in a mounting pocket. The pocket engagement portion defines a pocket engagement length and a shank defining a shank diameter. A cutter portion extends from the pocket engagement portion.
METHOD OF FILLING AND SEALING A MICROTRENCH
Provided is a microtrench fill comprising concrete, a polymer, and a colorant. Also provided is a method of using the microtrench fill to fill a microtrench in a street or walkway.
Jet trenching system
A jetting system for an undersea trencher has jetting conduits extending aftward of its trench-cutting jetting swords. Jetting conduit nozzles direct liquid radially from their jetting conduits into the trench after the trench is excavated by the jetting sword cutting nozzles. The jetting conduits direct sufficient liquid into the trench to maintain the mix of trenched soil and water in the trench along the length of the conduits at not more than a super-critical density, extending the distance in which the product being laid in the trench is able to descend in the trench and increasing the likelihood that the product will be buried at the intended trench depth.
WIRE INSTALLATION TOOL
An in-ground wire installation tool including a body having a concave-shaped side with a pointed edge; an opposing side including a channel configured to dispense a wire, the concave-shaped side and the opposing side being connected via a top portion and a bottom portion, the top portion including an attachment portion configured to house a shaft; and the bottom portion connecting the concave-shaped side and the channel, the bottom portion including a blade.
BURIED DEVICE IDENTIFIER FILL AND METHOD OF IDENTIFYING A BURRIED DEVICE USING THE DEVICE IDENTIFIER FILL
Provided is a method of identifying a location and/or type of buried device by a device identifier fill covering the buried device. Also provided is a buried device under the device identifier fill.
