The controller weakens limitation of the target tractive force and determines the target tractive force when the acceleration of the machine in the second mode is less than a predetermined acceleration threshold. The controller determines a target transmission gear ratio in accordance with the target tractive force. The controller controls the transmission based on the target transmission gear ratio.

The first hydraulic circuit includes a first fluid pump operable to generate a first hydraulic fluid, a pressure storage reservoir coupled with the first fluid pump, and a first port coupled with the first fluid pump and with the pressure storage reservoir operable to store a reserve hydraulic fluid. The first port delivers a boost hydraulic fluid from the first circuit for use by the work vehicle to operate a first functional system of the work vehicle. The second hydraulic circuit includes a second fluid pump that generates a second hydraulic fluid, and a second port coupled with the second fluid pump delivers the second hydraulic fluid from the second hydraulic circuit for use by the work vehicle to operate a second functional system of the work vehicle.

DIRECTIONAL SHIFT CONTROL IN VEHICLES

The present disclosure relates to a method of controlling gear selection in a transmission of a vehicle in response to a directional shift requested by an operator and to a control system for controlling gear selection to manage directional shifts in vehicles, from a first direct to a second direction (e.g. forward to reverse). The method compares the current transmission output speed with a predetermined direction shift threshold transmission output speed. If the current transmission output speed is less than or equal to the predetermined direction shift threshold transmission output speed, the transmission is caused to execute a direction shift from the initial first direction gear to the same second direction gear, or a next highest second direction gear if there is no second direction gear which corresponds to the initial first direction gear. If the current transmission output speed is greater than the predetermined direction shift threshold transmission output speed, the direction shift is inhibited until the current transmission output speed slows to less than or equal to the predetermined direction shift threshold transmission output speed.
