A mining machine including a bi-directional electrical bus, a power source coupled to the bi-directional electrical bus, a motor coupled to the bi-directional electrical bus, the motor powered by energy available on the bi-directional electrical bus, a kinetic energy storage system coupled to the bi-directional electrical bus and a controller. The controller is configured to communicate with the kinetic energy storage system and the power source. Wherein the controller is configured to operate the kinetic energy storage system as a primary power source for the bi-directional electrical bus and to operate the power source as a secondary power source for the bi-directional electrical bus when the kinetic energy storage system cannot satisfy an energy demand on the bi-directional electrical bus.
ELECTRICALLY DRIVEN CONSTRUCTION MACHINE DRIVING SYSTEM
In an electrically driven construction machine, decrease in the remaining electric power storage amount of an electric power storage device is reduced when a transition to auto idle control takes place in case where the remaining electric power storage amount is small, and the duration over which the remaining electric power storage amount of the electric power storage device lasts is lengthened. Accordingly, a controller 31 controls the rotation speed of an electric motor 1 such that the rotation speed of the electric motor 1 is lowered from a predetermined rotation speed to an idle rotation speed Ni when none of a plurality of operation devices 20, 21, 22, 23a, 23b, and 24 is manipulated and a predetermined time duration TD has elapsed. In addition, when the remaining electric power storage amount of an electric power storage device 33 is equal to or smaller than a first threshold Ea, the controller 31 sets the predetermined time duration TD shorter than when the remaining electric power storage amount is greater than the first threshold Ea.
Hybrid power train system for a tractor scraper
A hybrid power train system for a tractor scraper is provided. The hybrid power train system may include a primary power source coupled to a first set of traction devices, a generator coupled to the primary power source, a first electric motor coupled to a second set of traction devices, an inverter circuit coupled to the generator and the first electric motor, an energy storage device coupled to the inverter circuit, and a controller operatively coupled to the inverter circuit. The controller may be configured to engage a first operation mode enabling electrical energy, supplied by the generator and the first electric motor, to be stored in the energy storage device, and engage a second operation mode enabling electrical energy, stored in the energy storage device, to be supplied to the first electric motor to drive the second set of traction devices.
Electric Drive of Mobile Apparatus
A mobile apparatus includes a main frame, an operating arm connected to the main frame, drive means configured to drive displacing means of the mobile apparatus, such as one or more wheels or tracks, drive means configured to drive the operating arm and a control system, connected to operating instruments for a driver, for controlling the drive means. The drive means for the displacing means includes an electric motor such that the drive of the displacing means is substantially electrical.
Shovel including power storage device with housing having coolant flow path
An upper turning body is mounted on a lower travelling body to be capable of turning. An attachment is arranged in the upper turning body. A power storage device is arranged in the upper turning body together with the attachment. A discharge current from the power storage device drives electric parts. The power storage device has a housing in which a first flow path for coolant's flow is formed. A power storage module is arranged inside the housing. The power storage module includes stacked power storage cells, and the power storage cells are thermally coupled to the first flow path. The housing includes a lower housing and an upper housing. The first flow path is formed in one of a bottom panel of the lower housing and an upper panel of the upper housing.
ELECTRIC CONSTRUCTION MACHINE
An upper revolving structure (3) of an electric hydraulic excavator (1) includes an electric motor (13) that serves as a power source, a battery (15) for storing electric power to be supplied to the electric motor (13), a power feeding port (16) to which a power feeding cable (17) for feeding electric power to the electric motor (13) or the battery (15) is connected via a relay cable (18), and a camera (23) that monitors the surroundings of a lower traveling structure (2) and the upper revolving structure (3). The camera (23) is attached to the upper revolving structure (3) in a position higher than the power feeding port (16) to capture an image of the power feeding port (16). With this configuration, it is possible to confirm through a monitor (10) the power feeding port (16), the connecting state of the relay cable (18) with respect to the power feeding port (16), and the treading, the catching-in, or the like of the power feeding cable (17) at the working of the electric hydraulic excavator (1).
