System and methods for controlled lowering and lifting of a load
A system and method for the controlled lowering and lifting of a load are disclosed. The system and method may include operating a work machine having a hydraulic system including a hydraulic actuator for supporting a load, a first control valve in fluid communication with the actuator, and a controller for operating the first control valve. In one embodiment, the controller includes a first algorithm for operating the first control valve in a load lowering operation. When an operational fault within the hydraulic system is detected, the controller can be configured to enter into a safe lowering mode. In the safe lowering mode, the first algorithm is disabled and a pulse width modulation (PWM) current is sent from the controller to the first control valve. A user interface is provided to allow an operator to control the PWM current duty ratio to allow the load supported by the actuator to be lowered.
System and Method for Estimating Implement Load Weights for a Work Vehicle with Knowledge of Operator-Initiated Control Commands
In several aspects, a system and associated method may be used to estimate a load weight carried by an implement of a work vehicle. In doing so, the system and method may allow for the implement load weight to be estimated by taking into account operator-initiated control commands that may impact the accuracy or reliability of the estimated weight.
Loader with improved arm path
A compact utility loader compact utility loader comprising a frame, a first track and a second track positioned on either side of the frame, and a pair of loader arms. The loader arms are configured to couple with an attachment via a hitch plate and a hitch pin. The compact utility loader is configured such that as the loader arms are raised and lowered, the hitch pin follows a path approximately defined by a curve (x)=4.641e.sup.0.34x The value x represents a horizontal direction and the function f(x) represents a vertical direction.
Visual overlays for indicating stopping distances of remote controlled machines
A controller may receive, from a sensor device, machine velocity data indicating a velocity of a machine controlled by a remote control device. The controller may determine, based on the machine velocity data, a distance to be traveled by the machine until the machine stops traveling after a communication, between the machine and the remote control device, is interrupted. The controller may generate, based on the distance, an overlay to indicate the distance. The controller may provide the overlay, for display, with a video feed of an environment surrounding the machine.
System and method for controlling machine
A method for controlling a machine. The machine includes a swing system and a plurality of systems. The method comprises generating, by an inertial measurement unit, data pertaining to rotation of an upper carriage of the machine relative to a work surface, determining, by a controller, data pertaining to rotation of the upper carriage relative to an undercarriage of the machine based on the data generated by the inertial measurement unit. The method includes determining, by the controller, an amount of torque received by the swing system from a power source based on the data pertaining to the rotation of the upper carriage relative to the undercarriage, determining, by the controller, a total torque demand based on the first amount of torque and adjusting, by the controller, the total torque demand when the total torque demand exceeds a maximum torque capacity of the power source.
System and method for controlling pump operating speed range of an electric work vehicle based on hydraulic fluid pressure
An electric work vehicle a pump configured to supply hydraulic fluid to a component of the electric work vehicle. Moreover, the electric work vehicle includes a sensor configured to capture data indicative of a pressure of the hydraulic fluid and a controller communicatively coupled to the sensor. As such, the controller is configured to monitor the pressure of the hydraulic fluid relative to a predetermined threshold pressure value based on the data captured the sensor. In addition, the controller is configured to control the operation of the pump such that the pump is switched from a first operating speed range to a second operating speed range when the monitored pressure of the hydraulic fluid falls below the predetermined threshold pressure value.
IMPLEMENT BRAKING SYSTEM
A power machine can include a frame, a power source, a machine hydraulic system, and a rotary implement removably securable to the frame. The machine hydraulic system can provide operational hydraulic power to a hydraulic motor of the rotary implement through an implement hydraulic circuit. In an implement braking mode, flow of hydraulic fluid through the implement hydraulic circuit can provide braking for the hydraulic motor.
System and method for load control of a lift arm
An arm load control system for a work vehicle including a controller comprising a memory and a processor. The controller is configured to determine whether a lift arm is in a maximum load configuration based on a position of the lift arm relative to a chassis of the work vehicle and output a control signal to a propulsion assembly of the work vehicle indicative of instructions to adjust a tractive effort of the work vehicle based on whether the lift arm is in the maximum load configuration.
The compact utility loader is configured such that as the loader arms are raised and lowered, the hitch pin follows a path approximately defined by a curve (x)=4.641e.sup.0.34x. The value x represents a horizontal direction and the function f(x) represents a vertical direction.
