Handle for oral-care implement for safe and hygienic use by multiple users and method of disinfecting the same
A handle for an oral-care implement, the handle comprises an electrical motor arranged to drive an output element structured and configured to couple the handle and a head attachable to and detachable from the handle; and a microcontroller for controlling the motor and to cause the output element to vibrate in (a) at least one oral-hygiene mode during which the oral-care implement is being used for an oral-hygiene routine, wherein the output element is vibrating at a substantially constant frequency, and (b) a disinfection mode during which the handle is being disinfected, before or after being used for the oral-hygiene routine, wherein the output element is continuously vibrating at a modulated frequency alternating within a frequency range of between about 140 Hz and about 250 Hz, for a duration of the disinfection mode.
Deodorant
To provide an agent for rapidly capturing aldehydes and carboxylic acids even in a neutral range in the vicinity of pH=7. Against aldehydes and carboxylic acids, a deodorant comprising a carboxy group-containing O-substituted monohydroxylamine or a chemically acceptable salt thereof, and an amine, is used.
Method and composition for water treatment
The invention provides a method of microbial control in water comprising adding to the water one or more bromine-based biocide(s) and cis-2-decenoic acid or a salt thereof. Compositions in the form of liquid concentrates comprising bromine-based biocides and cis-2-decenoic acid or a salt thereof are also described.
Dispenser and method of use thereof
A multi-layer article includes a non-active state and an active state. The multi-layer article includes an outer layer with a first side and a second side, and at least one inner layer that is disposed adjacent to at least a portion of the outer layer and that includes a volatile material therein. The at least one inner layer is coupled to the outer layer in both the active state and the non-active state. The multi-layer article is folded along an axis so that an upper portion of the multi-layer article is disposed on a lower portion of the multi-layer article. The outer layer is a non-porous, non-permeable material that includes an aperture.
FRESHENING COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING CONTROLLED RELEASE MODULATORS
The present invention relates to freshening compositions, devices comprising same and methods of using and manufacturing same. A freshening composition of the present invention comprises (i) from about 0.1 wt % to about 95 wt % perfume raw material and (ii) from about 0.01 wt % to about 90 wt % fragrance release modulator. Some freshening compositions further comprise a solvent and/or an ingredient having a functional activity. Disclosed are passive and active air or surface freshening devices comprising a freshening composition that allow controlled and customized release of the freshening composition or of a component thereof into or onto an environment. The addition of a fragrance release modulator to formulate a freshening composition of the present invention allows for modulation of the release of the freshening composition or of a component thereof.
Composition and methods for sanitization
The present technology relates to a novel sanitization method for chromatography media and supporting equipment comprising treatment with a sanitization/sterilization solution comprising acetic acid and hexylene glycol.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DISINFECTING AND/OR STERILISING OBJECTS
The invention relates to a method for disinfecting and/or sterilizing objects, said method comprising the method steps of: placing an object in a process chamber that can be evacuated; evacuating the process chamber; introducing a treatment medium; carrying out the disinfection and/or sterilization process; and increasing the pressure in the process chamber, wherein the concentration of the treatment medium is monitored while the disinfection and/or sterilization process is carried out. The invention also relates to: a software program for carrying out the method for disinfecting and/or sterilizing objects; and a device for disinfecting and/or sterilizing objects. The invention also relates to: a disinfected object comprising residues of the treatment medium and/or reaction products of the treatment medium and fewer than 2000 germs per m.sup.2 on the surface of the disinfected object; and a sterilized object comprising residues of the treatment medium and/or reaction products of the treatment medium and a germ-free surface.
