Fastener retaining component
A fastener retaining component may comprise a first elongated member. A length of the first elongated member may be greater than a diameter of a fastener receiving element of a component. The fastener retaining component may further comprise a second elongated member. A length of the second elongated member may be greater than the diameter of the fastener receiving element. The fastener retaining component may be configured to be press-fit within the fastener receiving element such that press-fitting the fastener retaining component, within the fastener receiving element, increases a tension in the fastener retaining component to cause the first elongated member and the second elongated member to engage with an inner surface of the fastener receiving element and to retain a fastener within the fastener receiving element.
LOCK ASSEMBLY FOR A WEAR ASSEMBLY
A locking assembly is disclosed for securing a wear member to a support structure. The locking assembly includes a locking pin having a pin capable of securing the wear member to the support structure. The pin is disclosed as including pin portions that are interconnected through a coupling to allow torque to be transferred from at least one pin portion to the other pin portion and allow axial movement of one of the pin portions relative to the other pin portion in the direction of the pin axis. Also disclosed is a locking assembly to retain a pin in a predetermined position.
TOOL FOR A HYDRAULIC HAMMER
A tool for a machine implement is disclosed. The tool may include a hardened portion of a material and a softened portion of the material. The hardened portion may extend along and encompass a longitudinal axis of the tool between a base end and a tip end of the tool. The softened portion may extend along and be offset from the longitudinal axis of the tool between the base end and the tip end of the tool.
CUTTING EDGE
A cutting edge for a machine. The cutting edge includes a top side and a bottom side opposite the top side. The cutting edge includes insert apertures along the bottom side. The insert apertures shaped to receive inserts made of harder material than the majority of the cutting edge.
Work implement assembly using a center adapter cover
An adapter cover includes a shell body including an exterior surface, an interior surface, and defining a vertical direction, a horizontal direction, and a vertical plane, a front face portion defining a thru-hole, a top leg extending horizontally from the front face portion and defining an adapter key receiving recess on the interior surface and a top leg side portion defining a concave arcuate portion extending rearward from the front face portion, a convex arcuate portion extending horizontally from the concave arcuate portion, terminating in a vertical rear surface, and a bottom leg extending horizontally from the front face portion.
COMPOSITE TOOTH WITH FRUSTOCONICAL INSERT
A composite tooth is described for working the ground or rocks. The tooth includes a ferrous alloy having a portion reinforced at least partially by an insert. The portion reinforced by the insert is configured to allow, after in-situ reaction, the obtention of an alternating macro-microstructure of millimetric areas concentrated with micrometric globular particles of titanium carbides separated by millimetric areas substantially free of micrometric globular particles of titanium carbides. The millimetric areas concentrated with micrometric globular particles of titanium carbides form a microstructure in which the micrometric interstices between the globular particles are also filled by the ferrous alloy. The macro-microstructure generated by the insert is at least 2 mm, preferably at least 3 mm from a distal surface of the tooth.
Complex Materials
A complex carbide for mining and mineral processing applications that are subject to severe additional metal, with the additional metal being a transition metal.
DRAFTED TOOL BIT AND BLADE ASSEMBLY
A material penetrating tool includes a shaft portion defining a central axis, and an enlarged cutting portion extending downwardly axially from the shaft portion. The enlarged cutting portion includes a rearward blunt surface, a front cutting surface, a first side surface and a second side surface, and the first side surface and the second side surface define an angle of extension measured in a plane perpendicular to the central axis, forming a wider forward cutting surface than the rearward blunt surface in a plane perpendicular to the central axis.
Drafted tool bit and blade assembly
A tool bit comprises a shank portion defining a longitudinal axis, and a working portion extending downwardly axially from the shank portion. The working portion includes a rear region, a front working region, a first side region and a second side region, and the first side region and the second side region define an angle of extension measured in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, forming a wider front working region than the rear region in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis.
Tool for working abrasive materials
A tool for processing abrasive materials, in particular rocks, sand or ores, may include a main tool body and a hard metal plate positioned on the main tool body. A build-up weld may be applied to a surface of the hard metal plate and to the main tool body to bond the hard metal plate to the main tool body. Further, a method for producing or treating such a tool may involve positioning the hard metal plate on the main tool body and applying a build-up weld to the hard metal plate and the main tool body such that the hard metal plate is attached to the main tool body.
