Well Water System and Tank Adaptor

A well water system includes a pressure switch adapted to monitor air pressure within a pressure tank, rather than water pressure within plumbing. The pressure switch is connected directly to the pressure tank by a tank adaptor in fluid communication with the pressurized air inside the tank. With the tank adaptor directly connecting the pressure tank to the pressure switch, the pump is actuated based on air pressure changes within the tank rather than water pressure changes in the plumbing. The pressure switch is calibrated to activate the pump when the air pressure within the pressure tank drops below a predetermined pressure, which correlates to a certain water pressure within the system. When the air pressure within the pressure tank is restored to a predetermined maximum, the pressure switch deactivates the pump having filled the tank to the desired maximum water threshold.

A water supply system includes a water storage tank having a storage tank outlet, the water storage tank configured to store a volume of water at a first pressure. A pressure tank is in fluid communication with the water storage tank and is periodically fillable with water from the water storage tank. An air source is fluidly connected to the pressure tank to pressurize the volume of water in the pressure tank to a second pressure greater than the first pressure. A pressure tank output line is fluidly connected to the pressure tank to output water from the pressure tank.

AUTOMATIC SYSTEM PROFILING FOR A WELL SYSTEM
20200033899 · 2020-01-30 ·

A controller for a well system automatically profiles the system, detects a pre-charge of an associated pressurized storage tank, and automatically configures pressure-based control of a pump based on the detected pre-charge. The controller determines the pre-charge of the pressurized storage tank while the tank is connected to the system. While monitoring a system pressure, the controller activates the pump to initiate a filling operation of the pressurized storage tank. The controller analyzes a change in system pressure during the filling operation to determine the pre-charge of the pressurized storage tank. With the pre-charge determined, the controller automatically configures pressure settings for pressure-based control of the pump.

Bladder-type pressure tank and preparation method thereof

A bladder-type pressure tank includes an outer shell, a bladder, a nozzle, and an elbow pipe. The outer shell includes a liner and a glass-fiber layer covering the outer surface of the liner. The liner includes polyethylene (PE). The liner further includes a chamber, a first opening, and a second opening. The bladder is disposed in the chamber. In an inflated state of the bladder, a gap is formed between the inflated bladder and the inner surface of the liner. The bladder includes polyurethane (PU). The nozzle is integrated with the bladder, and is disposed in the first opening and seals the first opening. The elbow pipe includes a first end and a second end. The first end of the elbow pipe is disposed in the second opening and communicates with the chamber; and the second end of the elbow pipe is configured to connect to a pipeline.
