MEDICAL APPARATUS REMANUFACTURING METHOD
A medical apparatus remanufacturing method includes: disassembling a housing including a first housing and a second housing. The first housing can include a boss that is press-fitted to a boss hole of a press-fitted portion of a second housing to form an assembled state in which the first housing and the second housing are assembled to each other. The housing is disassembled by changing a temperature of at least one of the boss or the press-fitted portion to decrease a contact surface pressure between the boss and the boss hole, and removing the boss from the boss hole to release the assembled state.
RADIOLUCENT RETRACTOR
A disposable device for tissue retraction, including first and second elongated curved members, each having respective proximal and distal ends, a hinge pivotably connecting first and second elongated curved members, wherein first and second curved members curve away from one another, a first blade extending from the distal end of the first elongated curved member, and a second blade extending from the distal end of the second elongated curved member. The device further includes a first latching portion extending from the proximal end of the first elongated curved member, a second latching portion extending from the proximal end of the second elongated curved member, and a third bladed elongated member lockingly engageable to the hinge. The first and second latching portions are lockingly engageable. The retractor is made of a generally electrically insulating nonmagnetic radiolucent material.
STRESS-ABSORBING BUFFER ZONE FOR SEALED TRAY
A package includes a tray and a cover configured to seal an open end of the tray when the cover is assembled onto the tray. The tray has a flange extending about a periphery at the open end of the tray. A continuous barrier seal is formed between the flange and the cover when the cover is assembled onto the tray, and a discontinuous sacrificial seal is also formed between the flange and the cover when the cover is assembled onto the tray. The discontinuous sacrificial seal is configured to absorb stress applied to the flange. The continuous barrier seal is disposed closer to an inner periphery of the flange than the discontinuous sacrificial seal. Holes are formed on the corners of the flange, and the holes are spaced apart from the discontinuous sacrificial seal.
A fault-tolerant endovascular inflation device
An endovascular device for providing at least partial occlusion in a blood vessel in a subject, e.g. for improving Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. The device comprises a balloon catheter to be inserted in a blood vessel for inflation therein. To increase the flexibility and safety in use of the device and to enable use under controlled and less controlled environments, the device comprises a first interfacing means configured to connect to a first manually operated inflation means and being in fluid communication with a junction; a second interfacing means configured to connect to a second power controlled inflation means and also being in fluid communication with the junction, and an electronic control unit configured to receive the occlusion parameter from the sensor and to provide an instruction set for manually operated inflation or for automatically operated inflation based on the occlusion parameter.

The housing is disassembled by changing a temperature of at least one of the boss or the press-fitted portion to decrease a contact surface pressure between the boss and the boss hole, and removing the boss from the boss hole to release the assembled state.
DENTAL IMPLANT
A dental implant including an implant surface having at least partially a contact angle of less than 20, the implant surface being at least partially covered by a protective layer having a keratin hydrolyzate.
FRAGRANCE COMPOSITION FOR MASKING OR DEODORIZING MAL-ODOR
The present invention relates to a fragrance composition for suppressing malodor, comprising an alcohol fragrance, a lactone fragrance, or both, and more specifically, to a fragrance composition that can suppress malodor and unpleasant odor that may be generated by the human body, or clothes or environments being in contact with the human body. The fragrance composition of the present invention was completed by applying a single fragrance of an alcohol fragrance or lactone fragrance, or a mixture of both, thus being able to more effectively act against malodor while providing a more luxurious and excellent aromatic property compared to the conventional fragrances with a rather simple aromatic property.
MESH OR MEMBRANE COVERING BASED ON BIOLOGICAL OR BIOSYNTHETIC MATERIAL FOR PROSTHESIS, PROVIDED WITH FIXING SYSTEM FOR FIXING TO THE SAME PROSTHESIS, AND CORRESPONDING MANUFACTURING PROCESS THEREOF
The present invention relates to a mesh or membrane covering (2) based on biological material, for example collagen, or biosynthetic material for prostheses (1), in particular for a breast prosthesis (1), said prosthesis (1) having a rear surface that, when applied, is faced towards the person on whom (1) is applied, said covering (2) being characterized in that it provides a fixing system (4; 3) for fixing to said prosthesis (1), said fixing system providing a plurality of teeth or petals (4) or outer perimeter edge foldable on said rear surface of the prosthesis (1) by means (5). The invention further relates to a method for fixing said covering to a prosthesis, a prosthesis comprising said covering and a process for making said covering.
CYCLIC HYDRAZIDES AS FRAGRANCE PRECURSOR COMPOUNDS
Fragrance precursor compounds of the formula (I) may be derived from hydrazides and fragrance aldehydes and ketones. The fragrance precursor compounds may be used in composition having washing or cleaning agents, cosmetic agents and air care agents. A method for long-lasting fragrancing of surfaces using the fragrance precursor compounds and agents is also disclosed.
ANTIMICROBIAL COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME
This invention is directed to antimicrobial compositions and methods of using the same to treat or prevent infection. A method of treating microbial infection in a subject, the method comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of an EP4 receptor antagonist, wherein the EP4 receptor antagonist inhibits the growth of the microorganism.
