Drain for sanitary fixtures
11959263 · 2024-04-16 · ·

A drain for sanitary fixtures such as sinks, tubs or the like is described. The drain is provided with an automatic overflow mechanism, of the magnetic type, configured to be automatically activated when the water level in the sanitary fixture reaches the maximum level allowed. The overflow mechanism comprises a first magnetic element arranged on a stem of the plug, and a second magnetic element integral with the head of the plug and in-between the base and the first magnetic element. In the raised position of the plug, corresponding to the raised position of the head, the first magnetic element and the second magnetic element are magnetically coupled. When a threshold value of the water pressure acting on the head is exceeded, the first magnetic element and the second magnetic element are automatically uncoupled, causing the descent of the head towards the lowered position, corresponding to the opening of the mouth of the sanitary fixture initially closed by the plug. The drain preferably further comprises a manual lifting mechanism to lift the plug, configured to bring back the plug to the raised closed position following activation. Preferably, also the lifting mechanism is magnetic.

High flow drain control

A lockable plug device for sanitary ware comprises a closure member operable to engage with an outlet or drain of the sanitary ware product to stop water emptying from the sanitary ware product, for example a bath. The lockable plug device also includes a closure mechanism, which is linked to the closure member and is operable to displace the closure member relative to the outlet or drain such that the outlet can be open or closed. The closure mechanism comprises a lock feature, which is operable to lock the closure member in an open position.

Fastener for pivot rod to clevis

This invention seeks to improve the existing attachment method for the pivot rod and clevis, parts of a sink pop-up drain assembly. The pivot rod at the open end is guided through a hole in the clevis to set the desired lift height of the sink drain stopper. The existing fastener used to attach the pivot rod to the clevis is only a single spring clip. This configuration is susceptible to slippage, causing detachment of the pivot rod from the clevis, therefore rendering the pop-up mechanism inoperable. My new improved fastening method uses a threaded pivot rod with hardware on both sides of the clevis to prevent slippage and provide a more reliable means of attachment.

Drainage assembly for a bathtub

A drainage assembly for a bathtub includes a stopper unit having a base including a drain passage and a lock hole defined through a bottom thereof. A drain pipe includes a tub shoe at one end thereof and the tub shoe communicates with the drain passage. An extension extends from the inner bottom of the tub shoe. A guide member includes a rod which includes a first connection portion formed on the first end of the rod, and a hook formed on the second end of the rod. The first connection portion is detachably connected to the extension to extend the rod through the lock hole so as to align the tub shoe with the base, and to connect the outer threads of the base with the inner threads of the tub shoe easily.

GASKET SEALS FOR DRAIN CLOSURES

An exemplary embodiment, among others, of the present disclosure is directed to a drain closure assembly. A head of the drain closure assembly is fastened to a top end of a stem, wherein a bottom end of the stem is insertable in a drain shoe; and a gasket is fastened around an outer cylinder of the stem below the head. The gasket comprises an upper outer portion and a lower outer portion that each meet at a line that defines a hinge at which the gasket is able to bend, wherein the lower outer portion features a sloped surface from a bottom edge of a rim of the gasket to the line at a top of the lower outer portion, wherein the upper outer portion has a right circular cylinder shape.

CLEAN DRAIN SYSTEMS

The present disclosure is generally directed towards a clean drain system. The clean drain system includes drain stopper system, a seal, and a flange. The seal is coupled to the flange. The drain stopper system is positioned through the seal. The drain stopper system further includes a drain cover, a drain housing, and a basket. The drain cover along a vertical axis to allow or prevent the flow of water through the tailpipe. The basket includes a plurality of openings. The basket is configured to catch debris as it flows downward through the drain to prevent the drain from clogging. The clean drain system further includes an overflow cover, an overflow tube, and a collar. The collar is positioned around the drain housing. The overflow cover is coupled to the overflow tube. The collar is coupled to another end of the overflow tube.

A stopper of a bathroom sink or tub includes a shank removably connected to a base part which is connected to the sink or tub and has a drain hole. A cap is connected to the shank and has a flange that extends radially from the cap. A connection portion is formed on the underside of the flange. A seal part is connected to the connection portion and includes a support ring and a collar. The support ring has at least one hook member formed in the inner periphery thereof so as to be connected to the connection portion of the cap. A positioning portion extends from radially from the support ring. The collar is a rubber collar and has a groove in the inner periphery thereof. The positioning portion of the support ring is engaged with the groove to prevent the collar from deformation and generating noise.
