OVERFLOW ASSEMBLY FOR BATHTUBS AND THE LIKE
20190376267 · 2019-12-12 ·

An overflow system in the bathtub has an overflow port and has a drain pipe in connection with the overflow port. A threaded flange has a stub shoulder on one end which is fitted into a circular sleeve on the overflow port. The threaded flange has exterior threads on its outer surface and a thin diaphragm secured to the end thereof opposite to the stub shoulder. A large internally threaded nut is threadably mounted on the outer end of the threaded flange. A decorative cap is frictionally snapped into engagement with protrusions on the outer surface of the nut. The cap can be removed when needed to permit the plumber to gain access to the diaphragm to cut it open for fluid flow after the system has been tested for leaks, or put in place after the cut takes place.

Tub Overflow Drain Test System

A tub drain overflow test system employs a kit with a connecting pipe with a front cylindrical portion having an inner threading and an intermediate annular flange coaxial with the front cylindrical portion. The front cylindrical portion extends through an overflow hole of a tub so that the annular flange, optionally with a seal ring, abuts the rear surface of the tub wall. A test cap has outer threading that mates with inner threading of the front cylindrical portion. The test cap also has an annular flange and a breakaway test seal with a projecting grip tab. The test cap has an inner lip that provides a catch for inwardly extending tabs on a finishing fixture to robustly attach. The test cap allows the overflow drain to be tested and then a seal portion is removed to provide access to the opening and the finishing fixture is mounted in place.

CLEAN DRAIN SYSTEMS

The present disclosure is generally directed towards a clean drain system. The clean drain system includes drain stopper system, a seal, and a flange. The seal is coupled to the flange. The drain stopper system is positioned through the seal. The drain stopper system further includes a drain cover, a drain housing, and a basket. The drain cover along a vertical axis to allow or prevent the flow of water through the tailpipe. The basket includes a plurality of openings. The basket is configured to catch debris as it flows downward through the drain to prevent the drain from clogging. The clean drain system further includes an overflow cover, an overflow tube, and a collar. The collar is positioned around the drain housing. The overflow cover is coupled to the overflow tube. The collar is coupled to another end of the overflow tube.

Overflow pipe assembly for bathtubs

An overflow pipe assembly of a bathtub includes an overflow pipe having a horizontal fitting end which has outer threads on outside thereof. A flange extends from the outside of the fitting end. A buffering ring is mounted to the fitting end and clamped between the flange and the wall of the bathtub. Two slots are defined axially in the passage of the fitting end. A locking ring is threadedly connected to the outer threads of the overflow pipe. A cap is mounted to the fitting end and has a peripheral wall which includes multiple drain holes. The cap has a tubular portion inserted into the passage. The tubular portion has a central hole which communicates with apertures defined through the wall of the tubular portion. The tubular portion has two protrusion which are engaged with the slots of the fitting end.

Drain system for bathtub

A drain system for controlling a water level in a bathtub includes a drain exit assembly coupled to an exit drain of the bathtub and configured to receive water exiting the bathtub, a valve fluidly coupled to the drain exit assembly and operably coupled to a motor, and a pressure sensor communicatively coupled to the valve and in fluid communication with the drain exit assembly. The motor is configured to change the operational state of the valve based on a pressure sensed by the pressure sensor to control a water level within the bathtub.
