A system for capturing and destroying hair and waste within a shower drain includes a basket placed in the drain which holds a rod including an enzyme blend. The basket captures hair or waste that is washed down shower drains The enzyme blend neutralizes the hair or waste. The result is a clear drain and clear plumbing, with minimal manual labor. The basket does not require removal because the hair and waste are neutralized before a clog can develop. The enzyme blend is safer for both users and the plumbing systems treated than conventional drain cleaning chemicals.

Systems and methods for providing a sink basin having a coupled drain assembly for interchangeably coupling a drain and a garbage disposal are described. In an aspect, a sink basin drain assembly includes, but is not limited to, a drain body defining an interior; a collar extending outwardly from the drain body and terminating at an exterior edge and tapering from the exterior edge to an aperture fluidically coupled with the interior, the exterior edge configured to couple with an inwardly extending interior lip on a bottom portion of a flanged drain housing, the collar including a collar seal configured to abut an upper surface of the; and a drain shield including a base and sidewalls extending upwardly from the base, the sidewalls configured to interface with the bottom portion of the flanged drain housing to push the lip against the collar seal.

A counter top food waste disposer in accordance with an aspect of the present disclosure includes a food conveying section, a motor section and a grind and discharge section disposed between the food conveying section and the motor section. In an aspect, the food waste disposer also includes a discharge area in which a container is removably receivable. When the container is received in the discharge area, during operation of the food waste disposer food waste is dischargeable from a discharge outlet of a discharge section into the container. In an aspect, a hose is removably receivable in the discharge area when the container is not present and food waste is discharged through the hose when it is received in the discharge area. In an aspect, the food waste disposer includes a water reservoir from which water can be introduced into the food waste disposer.

Mounting systems for waste disposers such as food waste disposers, waste disposers employing such systems, and related methods are disclosed herein. In one example embodiment, a mounting system includes a tubular structure extending between first and second ends, and an enclosure structure having an additional end, where the enclosure structure is configured to be able to support, at least indirectly, the waste disposer. Further, the mounting system includes an elastomeric member extending between the second end and the additional end, where the elastomeric member is coupled to each of, and serves to couple, the tubular structure and the enclosure structure. Additionally, the mounting system includes a plurality of backup linkage members, where each of the plurality of backup linkage members couples at least indirectly, and is integrally formed or molded with at least one of, the tubular structure and the enclosure structure.
