Cover Assembly and Methods
Systems and methods of installing a fixture into a material are provided. The fixture includes a body and a cover assembly that is removably coupled to the body and configured to move relative to the body once the body has been secured within the material. The cover assembly includes a movable component configured to aid removal of the cover assembly.
Stormwater siphon cube
To provide a portable device capable of capturing a flow of water from a stream, storm drain or runoff channel, on command and send that captured water into a pipe system, while allowing remote adjustment of the capture and flow rates out of the cube device, the stormwater syphon cube includes a rock grate to prevent stormwater borne objects from entering the device, and an exit valve adjustable via cable control, a side extraction valve adjustable via cable control to adjust the water flow into the extraction pipe, and extraction pipe attached to the cube to carry extracted water away to storage. The sealed exit pipe acts as a syphon drawing water out of the cube.
Durable protective covers with stiffening rods for preventing spilled liquids from flowing into drains or holes
Protective drain covers, include stiffening members at one end or at opposing ends to increase rigidity in one direction while leaving the other direction flexible. The increased rigidity in the one direction improves the ability to handle and accurately position the protective drain cover for use, while the flexibility in the other direction allows the protective drain cover to be rolled up for storage and future use. The stiffening member(s) can be used as hand-holds to assist in the placement of the heavy protective drain cover and then removal of protective drain cover after use.
WATER STORAGE SYSTEM
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a water storage system that can include a water storage unit and a water storage lid configured to be attached to the water storage unit. The water storage system can include an outer shell with a first side comprising a first plurality of openings and a second side adjacent the first side comprising a second plurality of openings; a first set of cross-bodies spanning a width of the outer shell; and a second set of cross-bodies spanning a length of the outer shell and intersecting the first set of cross-bodies.
Flexible check valve for fluid control
A flexible check valve for fluid-handling systems that prevents reverse flow but allows downstream flow of fluid comprises a dome that fits within a pipe and includes a concave surface. The flexible check valve further includes a flexible seat that fits within the pipe and includes a. convex surface. The flexible seat is deformable from a closed position, that prevents reverse flow, to an open position, that allows downstream flow, when an upstream pressure acts on the flexible seat and exceeds a downstream pressure and when, in the closed position, the concave surface of the dome is oriented downstream and the convex surface of the flexible seat is oriented upstream. A housing is connected to the dome and the flexible seat and is connectable to the pipe. A seal is formed between the concave surface and the convex surface when the flexible check valve is in the closed position.
Oil leak detection circuit and blocking mechanism for use in a storm water drainage system
A device for detecting the presence of hydrocarbon fluid in runoff water includes an outer canister and a cartridge situated within the outer canister. The cartridge includes a pre-filter, at least one containment vessel, a diffuser/separator member situated within the containment vessel, a hydrocarbon fluid accumulator and an electronic circuit. The diffuser/separator member slows the flow of runoff water entering the containment vessel so that oil in the runoff water separates from and rises to the surface of the water where it accumulates in the hydrocarbon fluid accumulator. A sensor situated in the hydrocarbon fluid accumulator detects the accumulated oil and sends a signal to the electronic circuit which, in turn, closes a valve and prevents water from flowing through an egress opening in the outer canister.
Drain assembly with adjustable spherical frame
A floor drain assembly including a collar, a shank coupled to the collar, a frame, an insert coupled to the shank and capturing the frame between the insert and the shank, a strainer coupled to the frame, a protective cover coupled to the strainer, and a sleeve surrounding the collar, the shank, the frame, the insert, the strainer, and the protective cover. The shank is moveable relative to the collar and includes a spherically shaped shank surface. The frame includes a lower frame surface shaped to engage the shank surface and an upper frame surface. The insert is moveable relative to the shank and includes a spherically shape insert surface engaged with the upper frame surface such that the frame is captured between the insert and the shank.
Dual action retractable screen to be mounted to a curb inlet
A dual action retractable screen includes a first screen portion with a first screen portion perforated surface connected to the hinge mount via a horizontal hinge, which allows the first screen portion to rotate within a substantially horizontal plane. The screen also has a second screen portion with a second screen portion perforated surface and a latch pin. A vertical hinge connects the first screen portion to the second screen portion and allows the second screen portion to rotate within a substantially vertical plane. The screen also includes a latch mount that connects to the curb inlet and has a latch saddle that receives the latch pin. The screen operates in two modes: (1) a closed mode where the latch pin is disposed of in the latch saddle, inhibiting rotation about the horizontal hinge; and (2) an open mode where the latch pin is dislodged from the latch saddle, permitting rotation about the horizontal hinge and about the vertical hinge.
Single Bay Mechanical Closure Device
A mechanical closure device comprises an enclosure having four sides, a top and bottom and defining a discharge opening at the bottom. A floodgate assembly is interiorly removably mounted to the enclosure and comprises a pair of doors pivoted on a hinge assembly between an opened position and closed position. In the closed position, the doors seal against the flange to prevent passage of water through the discharge opening. A discharge drain assembly is preferably disposed on one door and has an opened and a closed position. An appendage is provided to facilitate opening and of the door. Upon removal, the floodgate assembly is stably positionable on a multipositionable service rack. A multipurpose tool is employed unlatching the floodgate doors and slidably removing the floodgate assembly.
