A drain assembly for providing a drain in a floor. The drain assembly includes a drain conduit, a strainer and an adaptor. The drain conduit has an inner surface that defines a fluid flow path and an outer surface. The strainer is disposed above the drain conduit and has openings in fluid communication with the fluid flow path of the drain conduit. The adaptor may be securable in the drain conduit and may be connected to the strainer. Prior to securing the adaptor in the drain conduit, a position of the adaptor in the drain conduit may be moveable to allow atop surface of the strainer to be substantially aligned with the floor. A method of assembly is also disclosed.

A drain system includes a drain body attachable to a subfloor and configured for attachment to a pipe member below the subfloor. A seal component is positionable between the drain body and the pipe member and is arranged to form a seal therebetween. The seal component has a body including open upper and lower ends defining an opening therethrough for receiving a portion of the pipe member. An outer surface of the body defines an interface between the seal component and the drain body arranged to permit a first angular movement between the seal component and the drain body. An inner surface defines an interface between the seal component and the pipe member and is arranged to seal and permit a second angular movement between the seal component and the pipe member, wherein the second angular movement is different than the first angular movement.

Described herein are embodiments of a drain adapter device configured as a low-profile drain that provides a dry seal between a drain base and an installed floor drain. The low-profile drain is configured to receive threaded drain gates or strainers. In some embodiments, the drain adapter device provides a low-profile drain system that includes universal receiving features configured to engage with strainers, drain gates, caps, and the like.

An example drain apparatus includes a drain body for connection to a plumbing system. The example drain apparatus also includes a top drain assembly having a compressible fitting, the top drain assembly configured for removable installation within the drain body. An example drain system includes an apparatus having a drain body and a top drain assembly for installation with the drain body. The example drain system includes a jig configured to cut the drain body below an upper surface of a floor the drain body is installed in so that the top drain assembly is fitted to the drain body substantially level with the upper surface of the floor.

An adjustable floor drain apparatus includes a housing configured for positioning adjacent a drain pipe, manhole riser, or other feature, a leveling frame configured to be positioned at least partially above the housing, a grate configured to be positioned at least partially above the leveling frame and secured to the leveling frame, and a leveling member. The leveling member can be configured such that actuating the leveling member adjusts the position of the grate relative to the housing while the leveling member remains fixed relative to the housing. The leveling member can be configured such that actuating the leveling member moves the leveling member relative to the grate and adjusts the position of the grate relative to the housing.

An adjustable floor drain apparatus includes a housing configured for positioning adjacent a drain pipe, a leveling frame configured to be positioned at least partially above the housing, a grate configured to be positioned at least partially above the leveling frame and secured to the leveling frame, and a leveling member. The leveling member can be configured such that actuating the leveling member adjusts the position of the grate relative to the housing while the leveling member remains fixed relative to the housing. The leveling member can be configured such that actuating the leveling member moves the leveling member relative to the grate and adjusts the position of the grate relative to the housing.

A catch basin trap for mounting in an opening in a side wall of a catch basin. A preferred catch basin trap has a body with a front side for facing outwardly to outside of the catch basin, and a back side for facing inwardly to inside of the catch basin. An inlet opening is provided in the back side of the body for receiving drainage water from inside of the catch basin. An outlet opening is provided in the front side of the body for discharging the drainage water to the outside of the catch basin. A flexible outlet pipe connector extends outwardly from the outlet opening, configured for watertight coupling to an outlet pipe positioned outside of the catch basin. The catch basin trap provides a water flow path for drainage water from inside of the catch basin to the outlet pipe. A preferred outlet pipe connector is adapted to facilitate installation of the catch basin trap by allowing watertight coupling to the outlet pipe at a plurality of angles and positions relative to the catch basin trap, and to accommodate angular and transpositional deviations of the outlet pipe resulting from settling of the ground after installation.

The present invention relates to an assembly for providing a drain in a floor. The drain assembly includes a drain conduit, a strainer and an adaptor. The drain conduit has an inner, surface that defines a fluid flow path, and an outer surface. The strainer is disposed above the drain conduit and has openings in fluid communication with the fluid flow path of the drain conduit. The adaptor may be securable in the drain conduit and may be connected to the strainer. Prior to securing the adaptor in the drain conduit, a position of the adaptor in the drain conduit may be moveable to allow a top surface of the strainer to be substantially aligned with the floor. A method of assembly is also disclosed.

A floor drain assembly including a collar, a shank coupled to the collar, a frame, an insert coupled to the shank and capturing the frame between the insert and the shank, a strainer coupled to the frame, a protective cover coupled to the strainer, and a sleeve surrounding the collar, the shank, the frame, the insert, the strainer, and the protective cover. The shank is moveable relative to the collar and includes a spherically shaped shank surface. The frame includes a lower frame surface shaped to engage the shank surface and an upper frame surface. The insert is moveable relative to the shank and includes a spherically shape insert surface engaged with the upper frame surface such that the frame is captured between the insert and the shank.
