TRENCH DRAIN PROVIDING VARIABLE DRAIN LOCATION AND INSTALLATION
20190169831 · 2019-06-06 ·

A trench drain apparatus includes a trench body and an insert that can be assembled to the trench body to adjustably locate a trench drain hole in the insert relative to a footprint of the trench body. This allows adjustment of the trench drain hole at the installation site, yet takes advantage of pre-manufactured components. An upper surface of the trench body may receive an optional waterproof membrane clamped onto the sealing surface by a clamp ring. The insert can be rotated 180 degrees prior to installation to provide two different drain hole locations, or can be cut on site at one or both ends so that the drain hole ends up at desired location optimally matching a pre-existing drainage pipe opening. Methods related to the above are also provided, including adjusting the insert to locate the trench drain hole at an optimal location.

SEMI-ROUND DRAIN BODY AND LINEAR DRAIN SYSTEM INCLUDING THE SAME

A semi-round drain body includes an upper surface and a drain hole extending through the upper surface. The upper surface includes a first straight edge, a second straight edge disposed opposite to the first straight edge, a first curved edge, and a second curved edge disposed opposite to the first curved edge. The drain hole is disposed between the first and second straight edges and between the first and second curved edges. The first curved edge connects a first end of the first straight edge and a first end of the second straight edge to each other, and the second curved edge connects a second end of the first straight edge and a second end of the second straight edge to each other.

A trench drain system includes first and second channel sections each having side portions, end portions, a bottom portion, and a trough portion, and at least one securing member configured to connect and align the first and the second channel sections such that the first and the second channel sections form an assembly. The assembly having a first end portion and a second end portion at opposite ends, and the connection between the first and the second channel sections is sufficiently rigid such that the first and the second channel sections remain connected and aligned relative to each other when the assembly is supported only by the first and the second end portions.

Adjustable Floor Drain and Method of Installation

A drain assembly comprises a shroud, a shank, and a frame. The drain assembly may further comprise a shim with an angled top surface. The frame may have an angled bottom surface. A rotational orientation of the angled top surface of the shim relative to the shank and a rotational orientation of the angled bottom surface of the frame relative to the shank may be independently adjustable, thereby allowing for the top surface of the frame to be both angularly and rotationally adjusted relative to a central axis of the drain assembly independent of the positional height of the shank. The drain assembly may further comprise a cover having bendable tabs. The bendable tabs may be disposed around a periphery of the cover and may be configured to contact an angled inner surface of an upper bowl of the shroud, such that the bendable tabs bend around the frame, thereby locking the cover onto the frame.
