The inlet and outlet conduits are disposed through the side wall of the water detention system. A water discharging assembly for discharging storm water from a water detention system includes an outer enclosure; a first opening in the outer enclosure for ingress of water; a second opening in the outer enclosure for egress of water; and a siphon disposed within the outer enclosure; where, except of the first opening and the second opening, the outer enclosure is substantially fluid tight.

EXPANSION RING MOUNTABLE IN A STORM DRAIN FOR SUPPORTING A FILTERING APPARATUS
20190203457 · 2019-07-04 ·

An expansion ring mountable in a storm drain for supporting a filtering apparatus includes a ring-shaped expansion member having an adjustable diameter which is cut transversely to define two open end portions thereon which face each other and which are separated from each other by a predetermined distance to define a gap therebetween. A wedge assembly is positioned at the gap between the open end portions of the expansion member and is adjustable to increase the diameter of the expansion member. When the wedge assembly is adjusted to increase the diameter of the expansion member, the expansion member tightly engages a side wall of a portion of the storm drain in which the expansion ring is mounted to secure the expansion ring, and a filtering apparatus supported thereby, in a desired position.

TANK OUTLET HAVING A VORTEX BREAKER AND METHOD FOR MOUNTING A VORTEX BREAKER ON THE TANK OUTLET OF A TANK
20190185795 · 2019-06-20 ·

A tank outlet (1) of a tank (100) comprising a tube fitting body (10), with an inlet region (11), which can be mounted on an outlet region (111) of a tank (100), a vortex breaker (20), which is mounted solely on the tube fitting body (10), wherein the vortex breaker (20) extends into the tank (100) through the inlet region (11) and does not touch the tank (100). Moreover, a method for mounting a corresponding vortex breaker (20) on a tank outlet (1) of a tank (100) is claimed.

Detain H2O—detention pond retrofit device

Aspects of a detention pond retrofit device for detention basin outlet control provide structures designed to throttle stormwater flow and maintain the rate at which water is discharged from the system below Qcritical, the flow rate at which erosion and down cutting of the receiving stream would begin, based on channel morphology and bed material resistance. The primary goal of the device is to induce increased flow detention during low to moderate rain events, while providing similar hydraulic performance during large events to that of the detention basin performance prior to the installation of the retrofit unit. This is achieved through a T or Y design with split flow paths, in which the lower path is hydraulically restricted through the installation of structures while the upper path is unrestricted.

Stormwater vault apparatus and method
10287768 · 2019-05-14 · ·

A stormwater vault and a process for servicing the stormwater vault speeds the process of cleaning the stormwater vault. The stormwater vault has a built in liquefaction system for liquefying settled debris in the vault which works together with a sloped or angled floor in the vault and vertical debris cutting spray nozzles. The settled debris is flushed toward the inlet to a vacuum removal line inserted into the vault through an access opening for removing the settled debris from the vault while compacted debris is collapsed by vertically extending water nozzles.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING ODOR AND VAPOR
20240226363 · 2024-07-11 ·

A method of controlling vapor emissions using a liquid vapor trap containing an effective amount of a barrier fluid that will greatly reduce the volume of noxious and/or other gases emitted from a containment (natural or man-made) into the atmosphere. Examples of containment include, but are not limited to septic, fossil fuels and landfills.

Module for drainage and method of assembly

The invention provides a modular unit or module (20) for use in an underground water management system. The modular unit or module (20) comprises a prism structure being a polyhedron enclosing a pair of internal members (6, 6). The internal members (6, 6) comprise a first member (6) comprising a first arch (9), and a second member (6) comprising a second arch (9) located at an angle to and being arranged inverted with respect to the first arch (9). The invention also provides a modular system (100) for use in underground water management, the modular system (100) comprising a plurality of the modules or modular units (20, 20).

STORMWATER DRAIN BAFFLE
20190078311 · 2019-03-14 ·

A stormwater drain baffle to be disposed in a flow-through stormwater sump or chamber for baffling a stormwater flow-path. The baffle has a plurality of openings distributed over the area of the baffle. The baffle comprises at least two baffle portions connected to each other. The baffle portions are disposed near to and in superposed relation to each other, so that the baffle portions overlap each other and are adjustably connected to each other for adjusting the width (W.sub.tot) of the baffle. At least the outermost baffle portions of the baffle comprise fixing members which are monolithic with the baffle portion and adapted for fixing the baffle to the vertical inner wall of the sump or the chamber.

CATCH BASIN TRAP WITH FLEXIBLE OUTLET PIPE CONNECTOR
20190078309 · 2019-03-14 · ·

A catch basin trap for mounting in an opening in a side wall of a catch basin. A preferred catch basin trap has a body with a front side for facing outwardly to outside of the catch basin, and a back side for facing inwardly to inside of the catch basin. An inlet opening is provided in the back side of the body for receiving drainage water from inside of the catch basin. An outlet opening is provided in the front side of the body for discharging the drainage water to the outside of the catch basin. A flexible outlet pipe connector extends outwardly from the outlet opening, configured for watertight coupling to an outlet pipe positioned outside of the catch basin. The catch basin trap provides a water flow path for drainage water from inside of the catch basin to the outlet pipe. A preferred outlet pipe connector is adapted to facilitate installation of the catch basin trap by allowing watertight coupling to the outlet pipe at a plurality of angles and positions relative to the catch basin trap, and to accommodate angular and transpositional deviations of the outlet pipe resulting from settling of the ground after installation.
