System and method for fascia hinge connections
A decking system and method comprising a set of components that may be used for constructing and repairing structures, particularly the connection between fascia boards. The components may be shaped such that they fit together to form a connection between fascia boards at any angle while providing protective cover from the elements and a polished look. The components may be composed of a variety of materials and may be extruded. A decorative pattern, engraving, or embossing, or any of the above may be applied to the components as desired.
Deck component with post sleeve and flanges
Deck components comprising a post sleeve and flanges extending away from side walls of the post sleeve are described. The post sleeve has a rectangular cross section. Interior flanges can comprise attachment holes for affixing the interior flanges to box-frame-segments having square-cut edges. Box-frame-segments and box-frame-segment attachments with square-cut edges can abut the exterior surface of a post sleeve side wall. Use of the post sleeve can reduce or eliminate the need to produce beveled joints box-frame-segments and box-frame-segment attachments.
Corner tension fitting
A corner fitting may include a male fitting having a convex portion and a female fitting having a concave portion configured complementary to the convex portion. In addition, the corner fitting may include a strap having a strap radius portion and a pair of strap planar portions extending from opposite ends of the strap radius portion. The strap planar portions may be parallel to one another when the strap radius portion is clamped between the convex portion and the concave portion and the corner fitting is viewed from a side, and non-parallel to one another when the corner fitting is viewed from an end.
Relocatable habitat unit
A construction set and method for assembling a single level Relocatable Habitat Unit (RHU) requiring a plurality of flat panels that include male (M) and female (F) lock connectors located on their respective peripheries and a frame constructed from a plurality vertical corner posts and horizontal beams. The panels are a wall panel, a ceiling panel, or a floor panel. The entire RHU can be assembled using a single, hand-operated tool to engage a selected M lock with a selected F lock in addition to other securing hardware. First the floor is established and leveled. Next, starting at a corner, the walls are erected around the floor using vertical corner posts and horizontal beams. Finally, the roof is created. The hand-operated tool is used for each task.
Connector
A connector includes at least two cavities or receptacles extending from a base to receive adjacent tubes of a wall or panel. The receptacles are closed at one end. At least two walls extend from the base in the same direction as the receptacles. The walls are positioned on the base and outside the receptacles such that the panels are secured to a specific angular orientation with respect to each other. A top connector and a bottom connector are used to secure rods or tubes of adjacent panels. A series of top and bottom connectors can be used to secure multiple panels to form an enclosure, such as a kennel or gazebo.
Integrated Structural Member
An assembly for integrating an elongate structural member is provided. The elongate structural member includes a first end portion, a second end portion, and an elongate mid-portion that extends between the first and the second end portions. The first end portion is within a first plane and the second end portion within a second plane, and the first and the second planes are offset and parallel to each other. The elongate mid-portion is sloped between the first and the second planes. each of the first and the second end portions defining therein a polygonal hole. Multiple elongate structural members may be used to assemble a lattice structure.
Pin joint type structural member made of double steel pipe for restraining buckling thereof
A pin joint type structural member, made of double steel pipe consisting of a main pipe and a stiffening pipe, restrains buckling so as to be stable under axial compressive force. A clearance between the stiffening pipe 2 and the reinforcing member is determined so that a ratio (P.sub.c2/P.sub.c2) of the reinforcing member contact force with the stiffening pipe inner surface at the end 4b of a counter-clevis side, to the reinforcing member contact force with the stiffening pipe inner surface at the end 4a of the clevis side may be 0.40 to 0.65 when the reinforcing member 4 inclines to the main pipe 1 due to the axial force acting on the main pipe 1. In addition, a length L.sub.in that the stiffening pipe 2 overlaps with the reinforcing member 4 is at least 1.1 times as large as the reinforcing member outer diameter at the overlapping portion.
Modular structural system
The invention relates to a modular structural system obtained from the combination, in sliding engagement form, of generically elongated elements A, B, C, D having sections whose perimeter is provided with protrusions and recesses which, in the spatial development of the elements A, B, C, D, form sliding channels or tracks for mutual sliding of the elements which form the structural system. The structural system may also be provided with node elements C shaped so as to have two parallel opposite surfaces, one of which is provided with sliding channels or tracks for mutual male/female engagement in corresponding sliding channels or tracks and the other surface of which is provided with a permanent or releasable connection with other elements A, B, C, D at a connection angle of 0<a<180 with respect to said opposite surfaces. The structural system may also be provided with nodes A, B, C instead of the node elements C.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING MODULAR BUILDING STRUCTURES BASED ON SITE-SPECIFIC CONDITIONS
Systems and methods for providing modular building unit or pods are provided. In various embodiments, site-specific conditions and risk factors are evaluated and identified. The conditions and risk factors are used to inform decisions and design requirements for one or more pods and to modify or reinforce a pod prior to installation if needed. Methods and systems of securing the pods are also provided.
SYSTEMS AND MODULAR UNITS FOR BUILDING STRUCTURES
The present disclosure relates to a structural unit that includes an inner frame having at least one side, an outer frame having at least three sides, and a connecting element, where both the inner frame and the outer frame are positioned parallel to a first reference plane (the xy-plane), the inner frame is positioned within the outer frame, the connecting element physically connects the inner frame and the outer frame, and the connecting element is positioned parallel to the first reference plane.
