PLANK FORMING SYSTEMS
A method or device for creating a plank. The device may include a container with an opening to receive a material. The device may also include a beam extending from a side of the container to a point in an open space of the container. The beam may have a curved shape. A portion of the material may form around the beam.
BLAST RESISTANT SHELTER AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLY
A method and apparatus according to which a blast resistant shelter is assembled. The blast resistant shelter includes first and second structural members, a third structural member coupled to the first and second structural members, a first airway adjacent the third structural member, and a first blast panel pivotably mounted to the third structural member and adapted to pivot thereabout in response to a blast wave. In a first configuration, the first blast panel is detachably connected to a first portion of the blast resistant shelter and prevented from pivoting about the third structural member so that the first blast panel obstructs air flow through the first airway. In a second configuration, in response to the blast wave, the first blast panel is detached from the first portion of the blast resistant shelter and permitted to pivot about the third structural member to permit air flow through the first airway.
ROOF PANEL AND ROOF STRUCTURE
A roof structure is supported on legs and has a frame of interconnected structural members about the periphery. A flexible roof panel is connected to the structural members at a pair of opposed corners of the frame to lie in the plane of the structural members. A portion of the panel intermediate the opposed corners of the frame is connected to an adjacent leg below the plane of the structural members and tensioned to provide a curvature to the panel and thereby encourage shedding of water from the panel at the intermediate corner.
Adjustable Wall and Floor System
An room assembly that expands the interior space in a vehicle. The room assembly comprises an expandable room comprising an adjustable floor panel component, an adjustable wall panel component, and a track system for moving the adjustable floor panel component and the adjustable wall panel component between a nested and an expanded position. The track system comprises a corner component comprising a floor engaging plate, a wall engaging plate connected to the floor engaging plate, and a rail extending from both plates.
Blast resistant shelter and method of assembly
A method and apparatus according to which a blast resistant shelter is assembled. A transport assembly for a shipping module which has a chassis; a towing element secured to the chassis; two opposed wheels mounted on the chassis; a support assembly secured to the chassis and configured to be positioned in a mating relationship with a shipping module proximate to a lower transverse edge of the shipping module; means for removably securing the support assembly to a shipping module; and a displacement actuator secured between the chassis and the cradle, said displacement actuator for varying the ground clearance of a shipping module when secured to the support assembly.
Customizable Transportable Structures and Components Therefor
A wall component and other components for a building structure wherein the wall component has a spanning beam spanning the length of the wall component, one or more structural column assemblies positioned between the spanning beam and a floor plate which are structured to carry structural weights and loads received from the spanning beam. The structural column assemblies are separated by a longitudinal distance so as to define an intercolumnar region which is greater than a width of a member selected from the group consisting of a door assembly and a window assembly, and there is an exterior panel fastened between the first and second structural column assemblies that defines a generally continuous and uninterrupted planar surface over the intercolumnar region.
Metal decking
In one implementation, a metal deck is provided that includes a plurality of deck components formed in a contiguous metal sheet. Each of the deck components includes a plurality of folded ribs formed along the length of the metal deck. Each of the plurality of folded ribs are configured such that one or more trusses of a building may fit between the plurality of folded ribs. The metal deck may be used to complete the structural diaphragm without using concrete.
STACKED STRUCTURAL STEEL WALL TRUSSES
The present Stacked Wall Truss Construction and its use in multi-story buildings makes use of prefabricated modular wall elements (100) that are interconnected in three dimensions to enable the rapid completion of building construction with improved quality of construction over that found in traditional multi-story building construction. The resultant building is a structural steel frame without the use of stacking columns. Vierendeel trusses (100) with vertical members (101-105) of tube steel are used, thereby the construction process becomes stacking trusses fit up as complete walls, not erecting columns. An inner Mating Member (131-135) enables each truss to be near perfectly positioned on top of the installed truss below.
FLOOR SHELF FOR MULTI-STORY BUILDINGS USING STACKED STRUCTURAL STEEL WALL TRUSSES
The present Stacked Wall Truss Construction and its use in multi-story buildings makes use of prefabricated modular wall elements (100) that are interconnected in three dimensions to enable the rapid completion of building construction with improved quality of construction over that found in traditional multi-story building construction. The walls are created with stacking modular elements to form a vertically continuous structure, and Floor Modules (161,162) are supported by a Floor Shelf (141-144) at predetermined elevations to provide a solid surface on top of which a Topping Slab (1031,1032) of concrete is poured which fills the space between the Floor Module and the Wall Trusses to create an integral structure.
