A modular framework having a plurality of elongate structural members interconnected by brackets is provided. Each of the brackets includes at least one tubular socket to receive a structural member, and an array of holes is provided on a face of the socket to permit connection of an attachment to the bracket to support ancillary components.

In one aspect, a smart corner is provided that can be prefabricated. The smart corner comprises a rear side including a first hole, a first side including a second hole, a second side including a third hole, and a top. A wall frame is also provided. The wall frame includes a top plate, a bottom plate, studs, and four smart corners. A framing system is also provided comprising at least two wall frames. The at least two wall frames connect via the smart corners.

A building structure includes a core extending upright through and supporting the weight of one or more stories of the building structure, each story including one or more floor units, at least one story forming an outer peripheral portion, and an inner support portion through which the story is supported by the core via an interface along the perimeter of the core, wherein the horizontal cross-section of the core has a substantially circular external perimeter at the level of the interface, the interface and the inner support portion of the story, wherein at least one story is stiffened by a space frame extending from the inner support portion to the outer peripheral portion and making the story a self-supporting rigid body cantilevered off the core and structurally independent of all other stories, wherein the story transmits gravity-induced loads to the core via the interface only by means of vertical forces.

A prefabricated column assembly includes a hollow tubular column having a longitudinal axis. A gusset plate assembly includes a plurality of gusset plates connected to the column and extending laterally outward from the column in planes generally parallel to the longitudinal axis of the column. A first pair of the gusset plates extends laterally outward from the column along a first axis and defines a space for receiving an end portion of a first beam for mounting the first beam on the first pair of gusset plates. A second pair of the gusset plates extends laterally outward from the column along a second axis that is nonparallel and non-coincident with the first axis. The second pair of gusset plates defines a space for receiving an end portion of a second beam for mounting the second beam on the second pair of gusset plates to provide a bi-axial joint connection.

A connector is provided for connecting an elongate support member to a mount. The connector includes a collet assembly including a collet having an opening configured to receive the elongate support member therein. The collet includes a tapered outer profile. The collet assembly includes a collet sleeve extending around the collet. The collet sleeve is configured to move along a length of the collet such that engagement between the collet sleeve and the tapered outer profile of the collet compresses the collet radially inward. The collet sleeve includes a mounting provision configured to be releasably joined to the mount using a mechanical fastener.

A modular support frame comprises trusses, purlins transverse to the trusses, and vertical posts supporting the various trusses. A supply of wedges permits flange-type connectors to be joined to complementary connectors throughout the foundation. The trusses are arranged end-to-end in parallel rows, each row comprising at least one pair of trusses or more depending on the desired size of the foundation. Vertical posts are positioned between the ends of each of the trusses within a row and at opposing ends of the row, and each post comprises a pair of flange-type connectors at predetermined heights. Each of the trusses is terminated at either end with a pair of complementary connectors such that adjacent in-line trusses can be mounted to the post between them and the outer pair of trusses can be mounted to the posts terminated the row. Purlins extend perpendicularly between the trusses in adjacent rows to reinforce the frame. To that end, the trusses comprise flange-type connectors and the purlins are terminated at either end with complementary connectors.

A central-loadbearing greenhouse includes a first column system, a second column system, at least one intermediate column system, a plurality of roof supports, and a transparent solar roof. The first column system and the second column system are diametrically opposed to each other about the intermediate column system. A fixed end for the first column system, the intermediate column system, and the second column system are linearly mounted offset of each other. The plurality of roof supports is linearly extended from the first column system to the second column system. The plurality of roof supports is evenly distributed across an elevated end of the first column system, the intermediate column system, and the second column system. The plurality of roof supports is adjacently mounted onto the first column system, the intermediate column system, and the second column system. The transparent solar roof is mounted to the plurality of roof supports.

A storage system includes a storage grid structure and multiple remotely operated storage bin handling vehicles. The storage grid structure includes a first and a second type of vertical storage column profiles defining multiple storage columns in which storage bins can be stored one on top of another in vertical stacks. The storage column profiles are interconnected at their top ends by rails forming a horizontal rail grid upon which the bin handling vehicles may move in two perpendicular directions. The first type of storage column profiles has a cross-section comprising a hollow centre section and four corner sections. Each corner section includes two perpendicular bin guiding plates for accommodating a corner of a storage bin. The second type of storage column profiles has a cross-section comprising a hollow centre section having at least two connecting elements, and at least one corner section. The corner section includes two perpendicular bin guiding plates for accommodating a corner of a storage bin. The storage grid structure includes a grid supporting structure including at least some of the second type of storage column profiles interconnected, via their connecting elements by vertically inclined support struts.
