Medium chain peroxycarboxylic acid compositions
The present invention relates to compositions including medium chain peroxycarboxylic acid, methods for making these compositions, and methods for reducing the population of a microorganism. The compositions can include advantageously high levels of the medium chain peroxycarboxylic acid, can be readily made, and/or can exhibit reduced odor.
Shoe disinfecting assembly
A surface disinfecting assembly for sterilizing a sole of a shoe includes a box that is positionable on a floor and is positioned adjacent to a selected area such that the box can be stepped in. A pad is positionable in the box and the pad is infused with a fluid antiseptic. In this way the pad sanitize a sole of the shoe thereby inhibiting the shoe from transferring bacteria into the selected area. A cushion is positionable adjacent to the box and the cushion can be stepped upon. The cushion is comprised of a fluid absorbent material for absorbing the fluid antiseptic from the sole of the shoe after the pad is stepped upon.
METHOD FOR STERILIZING A SUBSTRATE HAVING A HYDROPHILIC COATING AND STERILIZED SUBSTRATES
Methods for sterilizing a substrate with radiation and radiation sterilized substrates.
Ultraviolet system for disinfection
Ultraviolet radiation is directed within an area. The target wavelength ranges and/or target intensity ranges of the ultraviolet radiation sources can correspond to at least one of a plurality of selectable operating configurations including a sterilization operating configuration and a preservation operating configuration.
Fertility kits with sterile syringes and collection jars, method of sterilization and use
A sterile Intracervical Insemination (ICI) fertility kit, method of sterilization, and method of use for performing self-insemination. Each sterile kit comprises: up to three sets of individually wrapped sterile, disposable, syringes and semen collection jars; printed instructions; and a QR code. The collection jar comprises a snap-on lid, and an inner surface with seamless edges to prevent semen residue. The syringes and jars are sealed in plastic wraps permeable to air and gas, and impermeable to pathogens; and are sterilized via gamma radiation or ethylene oxide. Fresh or frozen, unwashed or washed, semen is deposited into the jar, pulled into the syringe, and administered cervically during a user's maximum monthly level of luteinizing hormone. The syringe distal end is designed to push all semen out of the syringe then plug the end closed, while preventing semen residue from collecting within the syringe. Large circular syringe handles facilitate stable handling.
Safety cabinet with illumination system
A safety cabinet can include an enclosure defining an interior compartment accessible through an opening. The safety cabinet includes an interior lighting system. The interior lighting system can include at least one of an illuminating light to enable viewing to cabinet contents and an ultraviolet light configured to disinfect the interior compartment of the safety cabinet. To provide electrical power to the interior lighting system, the safety cabinet includes an electrical connection disposed through the enclosure. The electrical connection can include at least one of a bulkhead connector and an intumescent socket.
METHOD AND MANUFACTURING DEVICE FOR STERILISING AN INTERIOR OF A PACKAGING, AND PACKAGING WITH STERILISED INTERIOR
The invention relates to a method for sterilising an interior of a packaging, wherein the packaging has an upper film and a lower part, wherein the upper film and the lower part, in the closed state of the packaging, delimit the interior at least in some regions, wherein a sterilising substance is applied to a first surface of the upper film, wherein the sterilising substance contains iodine, wherein the upper film is arranged on the lower part in such a way that the first surface of the upper film faces the interior of the packaging at least in some regions, wherein the sterilising substance is arranged within the packaging and is activated from outside for a predetermined activation time period, and wherein an initial germ load within the packaging, in particular in the interior of the packaging, is preferably reduced by a factor of at least 10.sup.6.
Accumulator apparatus for use in sterilization
A decontamination system for a device, such as a lumen device, is provided. The decontamination system includes a terminal package defining a device receiving area. The terminal package includes a fluid inlet through which sterilant fluid can be delivered to the device receiving area. An accumulator apparatus is provided that is configured to switch between trapping sterilant fluid delivered into the device receiving area and delivering sterilant fluid to the device receiving area based on pressure changes in the device receiving area.
Package for an object and an assembly including such a package
A package for an object including a support element with a first chamber containing the object and a coupler configured to hold the object suspended through the coupler so that the object extends into a space left free between the coupler and a bottom portion of the support element. A stopper is coupled to the support element of the object, such that the support element presents a grip portion that projects from the stopper. A cover is coupled to the stopper, so as to co-operate with the stopper to define a second chamber inside which the grip portion of the support element extends. While the cover is coupled to the stopper, a grip portion of the stopper projects from the cover. While the bottom portion of the support element is coupled to the stopper, the length of the object remains visible.
