STRUCTURAL STEEL MEMBER CONNECTING ASSEMBLY
A structural steel member connecting assembly includes a first connecting member and a second connecting member. The first connecting member is pivotally connected to a positioning portion of a first structural steel member and therefore can be swung. The second connecting member is pivotally connected to the first connecting member such that the two connecting members are rotatable with respect to each other. The second connecting member has a fixing portion coupled with a second structural steel member such that the longitudinal directions of the two structural steel members intersect. With the second connecting member rotatable with respect to the first connecting member, the installation angles of the two structural steel members can be easily changed in order to make a stable engineering structure. The structural steel member connecting assembly features convenience of, and flexibility in, use and has extensive applications.
MODULAR STRUCTURAL TRUSS AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLY
A modular structural truss has an open-web configuration formed from a substantially parallel arrangement of a top hollow chord and a bottom hollow chord. The hollow chords have slotted channels formed vertically therethrough. Vertical flanges on T-shaped brackets are positioned within the slotted channels, while orthogonal cap plates on the brackets abut an upper surface of the top hollow chord and a lower surface of the bottom hollow chord. Web members extending between the two chords are affixed to respective ends of the vertical flanges that pass through the chords, and the cap plates may be welded to the chords. The modular truss enables flexibility in design and on-site assembly using common components to achieve high load tolerance, particularly for uplift.
Method for manufacturing column-beam joint structure and the column-beam joint structure
Provided is a column-beam joint structure 1, wherein a plurality of thick-walled portions 3, notches 7, and narrow-width portions 9a on a central side of a flange plate 5 are formed integrally, cutting (dividing) is effected at a cut line 8, and the thick-walled portion 3 is welded and joined to a column 2a.
Moment frame including lateral bracing system and coped beam
A construction formed of column and a beam, where the beam has top and bottom flanges coupled to the column by a lateral bracing system, and a web between the top and bottom flanges. The lateral bracing system may include a column-mounted plate including a horizontal portion and a vertical portion, the vertical portion affixed to the column. The beam may be coped at top and bottom edges of the web to prevent binding of the beam flange with the column-mounted plate upon rotation of the beam relative to the column.
SLIDE CLIP
A slide clip includes a first plate and a second plate coupled at a juncture. The first plate and the second plate form an angle at the juncture. The second plate has a first elongated slot, a second elongated slot, and a third elongated slot, each extending parallel with the juncture. The first elongated slot and the second elongated slot are each offset from the juncture a first distance. The third elongated slot is offset from the juncture a second distance that is greater than the first distance.
ONE-PIECE BONDING SPLICE FOR RAILS
A splice having a main body and one or more protrusions extending from the main body. The one or more protrusions can be operable to interfere with a rail when the main body is installed into an opening of the rail. The one or more protrusions may be operable to cut into a coating of the rail and form an electrical connection between the rail and the main body.
Building unit, method for manufacturing building unit and building
A volumetric, building unit including a support frame having a plurality of support frame members, a plurality of modular interior wall units, a plurality of modular interior ceiling units and a plurality of modular floor units and wherein the spaced apart coupling between the support frame and the interior walls and interior ceiling provides flexibility between the support frame and the interior wall and interior ceiling, so that the deformation of the support frame within a predetermined range is not transmitted to the interior wall and/or interior ceiling. Disclosed also a method for manufacturing a building unit and a modular building.
System and method for connecting a square concrete-filled steel tubular column to a reinforced concrete footing
The system and method for connecting a square concrete-filled steel tubular column to a reinforced concrete footing includes a short steel pipe partially embedded in the footing, the pipe having a top end having flanges extending radially therefrom, the top end extending into a cavity in the footing having an elliptical top opening and circular base, the flanges extending above the base. An elliptical base plate is welded to the bottom of the tubular steel column, the base plate having a circular opening defined therein and a plurality of spaced flange slots depending therefrom. The bottom end of the column is lowered into the cavity, the elliptical base plate passing through the elliptical opening in the cavity, and the column is rotated 90° to interlock the flanges with the flange slots. The cavity is filled with concrete grout, and the square or rectangular steel column is filled with concrete.
Structural fuse with integral spacer plates
A structural fuse is disclosed including a fuse base and a fuse plate extending from the fuse base. The fuse plate may include a reduced diameter yield section configured to yield at loads on the structural fuse above a threshold. The reduced diameter yield section includes a pair of slots on either side of the yield section, which slots receive a pair of spacers. The spacers are integrally formed as part of the fuse plate, and remain attached to the fuse plate during fabrication of the structural fuse.
