MULTI-FUNCTIONAL CONNECTOR
An assembly for offsite construction of a building, a connector for use in such an assembly, along with a method of manufacture of such a connector, and a method of construction using the assembly. The connector includes first and second buttress elements defining, respectively, a first location portion and a second location portion. The first location portion and the second location portion are configured, respectively, to receive first and second structural elements extending at transverse angles to each other. The first and second buttress elements each has first and second opposite side walls defining an access space between them for a connector to be accessed. The second side wall of the first buttress element and the second side wall of the second buttress element together define a third location portion configured to receive a third structural element extending transversely to the first and second structural elements.
Building construction method
A building construction method uses wall frames having a moveable top track. The track is fixed in a raised position so as to be load-bearing during construction, allowing construction work to progress quickly. When supporting concrete columns have cured, the fixing can be released allowing the track to move into a lowered position and for the building load to transfer to the columns.
Spacer braces for walls, joists and trusses
The present invention relates to using interlocking spacer braces between support members to construct wood and metal framed walls, floors and building trusses. Spacer braces have indentations, extensions, fingers that interlock horizontally, vertically or diagonally between support members. The spacer braces can form diagonal and lateral wall bracing, diagonal and vertical chords within building truss with either horizontally or vertical orientations, beams, hold-downs and shear walls. The spacer braces can be installed between wood or metal framing members.
Structural component for modular walls
A reversible structural component for use as a portion of a vertical frame in a modular wall system includes an elongate body extending between a first end and a second end thereof, a plurality of countersunk through-holes extending through the structural component, and a plurality of threaded through-holes extending through the structural component. The countersunk through-holes and the threaded through-holes are disposed on the elongate body between the first end and the second end so that the countersunk through-holes of the structural component are aligned with the threaded through-holes of a separate identical structural component when back sides of the structural component and the separate identical structural component are brought together 180-degrees relative to one another during use.
Junction structure of prestressed concrete (PC) column and steel beam
A structure enables free and reasonable designing of a cross section of an end of a steel beam in accordance with bending stress and a housed state of a PC steel, thereby providing an economic and reasonable building as a whole. A beam end block includes end plates and an anchor plate. The end plates are fixed at an end surface of an H-section steel in a direction substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the beam. The anchor plate is fixed to the H-section steel separately from the end plates, on a side opposite to a column, in a direction substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the beam. An end of the steel beam has an upper part and a lower part. The upper part protrudes toward the column more than the lower part and is mounted on a cogging. The beam end block has a height dimension larger than the height dimension of the H-section steel and has a lower end that is disposed at substantially the same height as a lower end of a side surface of the cogging facing the lower part of the end of the steel beam.
Construction system
A system and method for construction of a framed structure which permits on-site storage and relocation of construction materials using trolleys and cranes supported by the framed structure. The system provides a runway surface for removable attachment of trolleys, crane bridges, and platforms by offsetting the first longitudinal beam and a second longitudinal beam from a cross beam and where the first longitudinal beam, second longitudinal beam, and cross beam of the system provide components for the framed structure.
Timber beam end connection using embedded mechanical fastening
A beam connecting system uses a threaded connector rod and a mating connector, for example a nut, for mounting the end of a wood beam against the upright supporting surface of a supporting body. The connector rod protrudes from the upright supporting surface of the supporting body to be received in a fastener bore extending longitudinally into the beam from the end face of the beam. A transverse access bore which intersects the fastener bore receives the mating connector to form a mechanical connection to fasten the end face of the beam against the upright supporting surface. A wood plug encloses the access bore such that the mechanical connection is fully embedded in the beam and supporting body so as to be surrounded by wood material, and thus be protected from elevated temperatures in fire condition.
Apparatus for a building frame designed to create a building
Disclosed herein is an apparatus for a building frame designed to create a building, in accordance with some embodiments. Accordingly, the apparatus may include a plurality of base plates. Further, the apparatus may include a plurality of top plates. Further, the apparatus may include a plurality of studs. Further, each stud of the plurality of studs may include an elongated stud body having an upper stud end and a lower stud end. Further, the apparatus may include a plurality of rafters. Further, each rafter of the plurality of rafters may include a first slab body. Further, the each rafter may include a first cuboidal body. Further, the apparatus may include a plurality of braces corresponding to a plurality of brace lengths.
One-piece bonding splice for rails
A splice having a main body and one or more protrusions extending from the main body. The one or more protrusions can be operable to interfere with a rail when the main body is installed into an opening of the rail. The one or more protrusions may be operable to cut into a coating of the rail and form an electrical connection between the rail and the main body.
BEAM-COLUMN JOINT STRUCTURE
A beam-column joint structure is provided. The beam-column joint structure comprises: a hollow rectangular steel frame consisting of a first sidewall, a second sidewall, a third sidewall and a fourth sidewall and a plurality of H-beams, each of the H-beams being fixedly attached to an outer surface of at least some of these sidewalls. Some of the H-beams may be eccentric with respect to the sidewalls to which they are attached.
