PRECAST MODULAR STRUCTURAL BUILDING SYSTEM AND METHOD
The present invention is a modular structural building system and method consisting of prefabricated, precast, composite reinforced concrete raised floor and steel beam panels with adjustable levelling connection assemblies between panels, supported by columns. The system has the ability to accommodate the use of the floor by construction personnel during the on-site assembly process. The perimeter of the raised floor slab can be provided with ducts for a field installed conventional reinforcement means to create a continuous structural diaphragm for the floor panel.
METHODS FOR ERECTING A WALL PANEL PROXIMATE AN OUTERMOST EDGE OF A LAND PARCEL
The disclosed technology includes techniques for erecting a wall panel without wasting valuable floor area for wall panel bracing and erecting the wall panel from within the boundary of the land parcel on which the wall panel is being erected. A support structure that is configured to both maintain a prestressed concrete wall panel in a generally vertical position and to provide storage space can be anchored to a floor slab. The wall panel can be lifted from within the land parcel and positioned between the support structure and the boundary of the land parcel. The wall panel can then be anchored to the support structure.
METAL FRAMING COMPONENTS FOR WALL PANELS
The present invention has various types of horizontal bracing channels, longitudinal spacing-bracing channels, couplings, bracing clips, support channels, hole shapes within the support channels and orientation of the various elements that affect how wall panels are made. The structural insulating core includes the framing members and spacer blocks between the framing members that interlock together by having a structural insulating core of foam spacers with a tongue side and groove side interlocking the foam spacers between vertical metal support channels including the horizontal bracing channels, longitudinal spacing-bracing channels having notches, couplings and bracing clips connecting together.
Weldless building structures
A building structure including a first building member and a second building member may be connected by a plurality of fasteners, each fastener having a head, a threaded portion having a through hardness of between HRB 70 and HRC 40, a thread-forming portion of at least HRC 50 hardness enabling the fastener to form threads in at least the second steel building member, and a fluted lead portion of at least HRC 50 hardness with a nominal diameter between 70 and 95% of major diameter, such that the fastener is capable of providing a ratio of strip torque to thread-forming torque of at least 3.0 and a ratio of strip torque to drive torque greater than 6.0 when the second steel building member having a thickness of 0.25 inch and the fluted lead portion having at least one diameter within nominal diameter between 80 and 98% of major diameter.
Container/building system
A container/building system comprising; at least one elongate structural member at least one connecting member, the connecting member able to be realisably connected to the structural member and at least one plate that is able to realisably engage with at least one structural member.
MODULAR BUILDING CONNECTOR
A connector assembly, having an upper connector coupled to a lower connector and a gusset plate sandwiched between the upper and lower connectors. The upper and lower connectors allow for coupling to adjacent upper and lower connectors, respectively, allowing for addition of a modular unit to a pre-existing modular structure. Also, ways of coupling adjacent upper connectors and coupling of adjacent lower connectors when coupling a modular unit to a pre-existing modular structure are provided.
HORIZONTAL FLOOR MADE UP OF A LOAD-BEARING STRUCTURE AND FLOOR PANELS LAID THEREON
A horizontal floor consists of a load-bearing structure and panels, which are laid thereon and together form a floor surface. The load-bearing structure is made up of at least one main profile, which is fastened on vertical supports, and secondary profiles, which are arranged transversely in relation to the main profile, are connected at their end to the main profile and on which the panels rest by way of their underside. Forces acting horizontally on the floor are absorbed by the load-bearing structure. For this purpose, a single piece connecting element is provided. The connecting element has a first fastening edge, a parallel second fastening edge, and a central portion between the two fastening edges. The first fastening edge is supported on the main profile and connected to it. The second fastening edge is supported on the underside of one of the panels and connected to this panel.
LOAD BEARING SYSTEM FOR A RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE
Disclosed is a load bearing system for a residential structure. The load bearing system comprises two or more structural load bearing columns, at least one beam extending between and connected with respect to in-use upper ends of the two or more structural load bearing columns, and at least one cladding panel mounted to extend between a foundation of the residential structure and the at least one beam. The columns are mounted to a foundation of the residential structure in spaced relation to the or each other column and comprise a periphery defined by hollow-section members and one or more internal bracing elements extending between the hollow-section members.
Metal decking
In one implementation, a metal deck is provided that includes a plurality of deck components formed in a contiguous metal sheet. Each of the deck components includes a plurality of folded ribs formed along the length of the metal deck. Each of the plurality of folded ribs are configured such that one or more trusses of a building may fit between the plurality of folded ribs. The metal deck may be used to complete the structural diaphragm without using concrete.
