A collapsible pop-up structure for the rapid erection of buildings includes at least two portals forming two first parallel aspect facades of the shelter, the two other facades each comprising means for vertical articulation, on one hand with respect to the uprights of the portals that they connect, and on the other hand with respect to an axis positioned centrally between the portals. The portals are independent and the uprights of one portal each comprise an internal profile that can be made to slide so as to increase the height thereof in order to impart pitch to the roof, wherein said internal profiles are connected by an upper beam and form a secondary upper portal that can be made to slide into the portal. Means for controlling the sliding are provided in at least one of the uprights.

The object of the invention is an emergency escape tunnel in a multi-storey building, especially in a building with a centrally situated staircase and useable rooms surrounding it, used to evacuate people in case of a fire hazard. The emergency escape tunnel according to the invention is equipped with a load-bearing skeleton (6) with an outline similar in shape to an upturned letter U, its surface wail (7) and side walls (8) being covered with layers of a fire-resistant material. The tunnel has a self-activating drive system (13, 32, 36) and is horizontally shiftable in the space (14) between the staircase (1) and the external wall (2) of the building. In the resting position, the tunnel is situated within the staircase and in the operating position the outlet section (15) of the tunnel is situated within the exit door (16) of the building whereas its exit opening (17) is situated beyond the building. To make it possible to use the tunnel in relatively vast spaces of the building, it consists of two or three telescopically overlapping segments (3, 3a, 4), the ends of which are mutually interlocked with their cover flanges (5).

The structure comprises a stationary module, slide-out modules, expansion mechanisms and support mechanisms for the slide-out modules, a power supply system, a frame, a control unit. Each support mechanism is formed by at least three profile elements, comprises its own motor, two sets of rollers and vertical masts with reinforcing ropes. The support mechanisms are mounted above and attached to roofs of the stationary module and the slide-out modules. The expansion mechanisms' motors are synchronized between each other and with support mechanisms' motors. The invention achieves: stable, uniform, smooth, mechanized and automated, simultaneous sliding out/retraction of several slide-out modules outwardly from the stationary module; stable and long-term support of the slid-out slide-out modules above and below; increasing a useful living area.
