Liftable foldable transportable buildings
A fork tube arrangement for facilitating the movement of a foldable transportable building.
Articulated perimeter wall for an industrial worksite
Embodiments are directed to a hinged perimeter barrier or wall for an industrial worksite. The perimeter barrier may be formed from a series of wall sections that include hinged panels. The wall sections may be delivered to the worksite in an unextended configuration and then hoisted (by crane) into an extended configuration. A top panel may include a set of lifting features that may be engaged to raise (unfold) the panels and form the wall section. The wall section may be secured to a structural support using a support attachment assembly. The perimeter barrier may be used to mitigate various byproducts of an industrial worksite, including noise, dust, odor, light, and so on. The panels may be formed from an acoustic dampening material, visual mitigation material, and/or various other materials as may be appropriate for a given worksite.
Modular building construction
A building panel is constructed of a corrugated material. The panel can be folded into a U-shaped configuration. Successive folded panels can be coupled together using complementary shaped corrugations to fix panels in position relative to each other. Shaped connectors can be used to connect building panels in one plane to building panels in another plane.
PORTABLE ENCLOSED-STRUCTURE DEPLOYMENT SYSTEM
A portable enclosed-structure deployment system configured to be stored and deployed from within a shipping container. A floor support system including a plurality of floor panels is disposed in the shipping container proximate to a bottom surface of the shipping container. The plurality of floor panels withdraw from an open side of the shipping container. A plurality of wall panels are stored in the shipping container above the plurality of floor panels. The plurality of wall panels are withdrawn from the open side of the shipping container subsequent to the plurality of floor panels being withdrawn from the shipping container. A roof system includes a plurality of roof panels supported on a rack in the shipping container above the plurality of wall panels. The plurality of roof panels slideably withdraw from the shipping container subsequent to the plurality of wall panels being withdrawn from the shipping container.
Equipment and methods for erecting a transportable foldable building structure
A foldable building structure package having a first folded configuration and a second unfolded configuration. The package has a first enclosure component portion and an enclosure member selected from the group consisting of an enclosure component and a second enclosure component portion, with the enclosure member being joined to and moveable with respect to the first enclosure component portion from a folded position to an unfolded position to form a first part of the building structure in its second unfolded configuration. There is a first deployment bracket secured to the first enclosure component portion, a deployment strut adapted to be secured to the first deployment bracket at a first end and having a rotatable sheave at a second end, and a fastener positioned on the enclosure member for receiving a line run from the tang over the rotatable sheave.
MODULAR FOLDABLE BUILDING SYSTEM AND METHOD
This invention provides a modular folding building structure having at least one room unit assembled from two foldable modules that are coupled together and a roof. Room units can be used singly or ganged together to form multiroom structures. Each room unit has a floor that may include floor panels or floor planks supported by a floor frame. The walls on each foldable module are connected to a base with hinges, such that each room module has a storage position in which the walls are folded down parallel to the floor. Each module also has an erect position in which the walls are unfolded to a vertical orientation perpendicular to the floor by rotating a wall around the hinges. The walls may be solid with wall panels and appropriate openings for doors, windows, and in-wall air-conditioning. Alternatively, the walls may be substantially openings.
COLLAPSIBLE SHELTER
A shelter or camper that provides improved portability and protection. The shelter or camper may include rigid walls to offer greater protection from weather, animals, and theft. The shelter or camper may be transitionable between different configurations for different purposes, including an open and expanded configuration for use as a shelter, camper, or sleeping quarters and a compact, closed case configuration for easy storage and transport. To facilitate this, the walls may be foldable, expandable, or collapsible. When the walls are folded or collapsed, roof and floor sections may be connected to each other and may enclose the folded, collapsed walls and internal components within the collapsed closed case.
Foldable building structures with utility channels and laminate enclosures
An enclosure component having a thickness for a building structure having an interior sheathing layer comprising paper; a first structural layer bonded to the interior sheathing layer and comprising a first generally rectangular structural panel of magnesium oxide arranged in a side-by-side relationship with a second generally rectangular structural panel of magnesium oxide to define a first structural panel seam between the first and second structural panels. There is a first binding strip of magnesium oxide positioned over the first structural panel seam and fastened to form a lap joint with the first structural panel and with the second structural panel, so as to bond together the first and second structural panes. The enclosure component includes a first strengthening layer, comprising woven fiber mat, bonded to the first structural layer; and a foam layer with first and second opposing faces comprising a first generally rectangular foam panel and a second generally rectangular foam panel arranged in a side-by-side relationship to define a foam panel seam between the first and second foam panels. The first structural panel seam is offset from the foam panel seam a select distance in a direction generally perpendicular to the thickness. The first strengthening layer is bonded to the first opposing face of the foam layer. The enclosure component also has a second structural layer comprising a third generally rectangular structural panel of magnesium oxide arranged in a side-by-side relationship with a fourth generally rectangular structural panel of magnesium oxide to define a second structural panel seam between the third and fourth structural panels. There is a second binding strip of magnesium oxide positioned over the second structural panel seam and fastened to form a lap joint with the third structural panel and with the fourth structural panel, so as to bond together the third and fourth structural panels. The second structural panel seam is offset from the foam panel seam a select distance in a direction generally perpendicular to the thickness; and the second structural layer is bonded to the second opposing face of the foam layer.
Enclosure component perimeter structures
An enclosure member for a building structure comprising a planar laminate having a first facing layer; a layer of foam having a first face and a second opposing face; and a second facing layer; where the first facing layer is fastened to the first face of the layer of foam, and the second facing layer is fastened to the second opposing face of the layer of foam. An edge of the enclosure is provided with a perimeter structure that can perform one or more of a sealing function, an edge reinforcement function and a pivotable joining function with another enclosure, in accordance with the particular embodiment.
Foldable enclosure members joined by hinged perimeter sections
An enclosure member for a building structure comprising a planar laminate having a first facing layer; a layer of foam having a first face and a second opposing face; and a second facing layer; where the first facing layer is fastened to the first face of the layer of foam, and the second facing layer is fastened to the second opposing face of the layer of foam. An edge of the enclosure is provided with a perimeter structure that can perform one or more of a sealing function, an edge reinforcement function and a pivotable joining function with another enclosure, in accordance with the particular embodiment.
