Vertically Stackable Dwelling Device
Embodiments herein relate to a dwelling device (100) having a plurality of unilaterally open dwelling units (110, 110, 110) for temporary accommodation of one or more people. Each dwelling unit (110) comprises a uniform hexagonal honeycomb-shaped outer profile (120) with a base panel (111) and a screen panel (112) arranged parallel to the base panel (111), as well as two upper and two lower side panels (113, 114, 113, 114) connecting the base panel (111) and screen panel (112) in the area of the opposing side edges (115, 115). Each dwelling unit (110) is made of a material whose stability is dimensioned to ensure both the stability of a dwelling unit (110) as a single piece of furniture as well as an adjacent vertical stacking of a plurality of dwelling units (110, 110, 110) without further aids in a safe manner. The accessibility of the dwelling unit (110) as well as the comfort and safety within the dwelling unit (110) is improved over the prior art in that at least one dwelling unit (110) comprises one or more cross struts for increasing the stability and for acting as leaning units for people staying within the dwelling unit, wherein one cross strut is shaped in the form of a ladder (300).
INTERMODAL CONTAINER BUILDING
A kit for constructing a building may include an intermodal container. The intermodal container may include four exterior walls forming a perimeter of the intermodal container, a floor connected to each of the four exterior walls, and a roof connected to each of the four exterior walls. The four exterior walls, the floor, and the roof collectively define an interior volume of the intermodal container. The kit may also include a plurality of structural building components disposed within the interior volume. When the building is constructed with the structural building components, at least one of the four exterior walls of the intermodal container is repurposed as an interior wall of the building.
Modular tire service station
A modular tire service station for servicing vehicle tires includes a first pre-configured service module and a second pre-configured service module that is proximate the first module. A customer area is disposed in at least one of the first module and the second module, a tire storage area is disposed in at least one of the first module and the second module, and a tire service area is disposed in at least one of the first module and the second module.
MOBILE CELLULAR TRANSMISSION SYSTEM
A ballast system includes a substantially rectangular base with approximate bottom dimensions of a standard International Organization for Standardization (ISO) freight container; base locking units at each corner of the base to be secured to a shelter with approximate dimensions of a standard International Organization for Standardization (ISO) freight container; and extendable arms extending from the base to the ground.
Temporary or semi-permanent structure and method of increasing usable space
A structure with a support assembly having an upper surface spaced above a lower surface, a module removably supported by the upper surface of the support assembly, and an access system that is configured to allow a person adjacent the lower surface of the support assembly to move vertically upward adjacent the upper surface of the support assembly. The module at least partially encloses an interior space that is accessible through an opening in the module. The module is not permanently joined to the support assembly, and there is an accessible volume of space positioned below the module. The access system is positioned in a corner of a parking lot, the module extends laterally outward from the access system, and the module is positioned above at least one parking space in the parking lot.
Reusable modular housing system
A reusable modular housing system has a gridded structure comprising reusable components with dimensions corresponding to a two-unit system. The structure has floor and ceiling grids with dimensions that correspond to multiples of a first unit of measurement. The vertical beams that connect the floor and ceiling grids are spaced apart at dimensions that also correspond to multiples of the first unit of measurement. The structure has a variety of other components that can be coupled to the floor and ceiling grids and the vertical beams, and those other components have dimensions that correspond to a multiple of a second unit of measurement. Dimensions of the structure can vary, but each of the component parts can be detachably coupled into the gridded structure, so as to fit within the grid's dimensions based on respective multiples of the first unit of measurement and the second unit of measurement. The structure can be assembled into a first configuration, and when use of the structure is completed, the structure can be disassembled into its component parts which can be later assembled into the first configuration or a different second configuration. Use of a two-unit system of dimensions for the system allows for component parts to be reused on the same or other structures designed within the same dimensional system.
Building assemblies and methods for constructing a building using pre-assembled floor-ceiling panels and walls
A building system may include at least one diaphragm beam having opposite ends connected to an external structural frame of a building, at least one pre-assembled floor-ceiling panel adjacent to a vertical side of and coupled to the diaphragm beam, and at least one pre-assembled wall adjacent to a horizontal side of and coupled to the diaphragm beam. The diaphragm beam may be filled with a mineral-based material, such as concrete. The one or more pre-assembled floor-ceiling panels may each include a plurality of joists extending perpendicular to the diaphragm beam, a floor-panel including at least one metal layer attached to the joists on a floor side of the pre-assembled floor-ceiling panel, and a ceiling panel including at least one layer comprising mineral-based material attached to the joists on a ceiling side of the pre-assembled floor-ceiling panel. The one or more pre-assembled walls may include interior and/or exterior walls of a building.
Modular housing system and methods for using the same
A modular housing system and methods for using the same are provided. In accordance with some embodiments of the disclosed subject matter, the modular housing system comprises: a plurality of prefabricated system modules that are vertically aligned with each other and joined with a first fastener assembly to form a central system module having a front perimeter portion and a rear perimeter portion; a mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) module that is connected to the rear perimeter portion of the central system module; an elevator module that is connected to the front perimeter portion of the central system module; and a plurality of prefabricated housing modules that are connected to the central system module, the MEP module, and the elevator module, wherein each of the plurality of prefabricated housing modules is vertically aligned with each other to form a stacked housing unit and joined to the central system module and the elevator module with a second fastener assembly.
Floating community
A sustainable floating community based on a mass-produced modular, pre-fabricated kit of parts referred to as floating modular units. The floating modular units are designed to allow for various needs while remaining simple to deliver and assemble by hand in remote destinations prone to volatile shifts in water levels and currents. The floating modular units are ready to assemble, can be erected for use on land and bodies of water, are easily collapsible for transport, thereby serving as highly adaptable transportable structures.
