The body includes arms normally biased extending outwardly from the vertical wall, the arms being collapsible toward the body when the body is inserted into the opening in the metal deck and expanding outwardly after passing the opening to be disposed below the metal deck. A support is attached to the body, the support to engage a top surface of the metal deck to apply an upward force on the body and keep the collapsible arms engaged against an underside of the metal deck when the body is attached to the metal deck.

SPACE SAVING SLEEVE FOR A CAST IN PLACE ANCHOR
20210148111 · 2021-05-20 ·

A connection sleeve for a cast-in-place anchor. The cast-in-place anchor including a suspension plate having a threaded opening. The cast-in-place anchor also including an externally threaded rod with a head. The threaded rod threadably connected to the suspension plate so that the rod and plate are perpendicular. A sleeve between the rod and plate allows the rod to be securely connected to the plate by simply urging the rod axially toward and into the sleeve to securely lock with and engage with the plate. The assembly resulting in an X shaped cast-in-place anchor assembly.

Methods and apparatuses for constructing a concrete structure

Various implementations include methods and apparatuses for constructing a concrete structure. In one implementation, a structure includes a pre-cast concrete column section and a pre-cast concrete beam section. The column section includes an embedded first assembly with a threaded rod, and the beam section includes an embedded second assembly defining a channel for receiving the threaded rod. Grout is fed through a joint between the column and beam sections into the second assembly to couple the threaded rod with the second assembly. The grout is urged through the joint and the second assembly by gravity and by applying vacuum suction to a grout port defined by the second assembly. The grout port extends between the channel of the second assembly and an external face of the beam section.

Undercut anchor, undercut anchor manufacturing method, and anchoring method

In certain embodiments, the present disclosure provides an undercut anchor including an attachment barrel and a cylindrical plug positioned in and moveable in the attachment barrel. The attachment barrel includes a cylindrical body, an outer rim extending outwardly and away from a bottom end of the body, and a plurality of independently pivotable gripping arms extending from a top end of the body.

VIBRATION DAMPING ANCHORING SYSTEM

An anchoring system for anchoring a post to a concrete body, such as a post for a basketball goal, includes a template for alignment of anchor bolts, which can be J-bolts. The template includes a plate with openings corresponding to openings on a mounting flange of the post, each plate opening including an alignment feature for orienting an anchor bolt perpendicular to the bottom of the plate. A nut engages the anchor bolts beneath the mounting flange of the post. The vertical shank of the anchor bolts is coated with a pre-cured elastomeric composition that has dampening properties, with the thickness of the coating being 5-75% the diameter of the anchor bolt.

ALIGNMENT TOOL

An alignment tool that is easy to use during the installation and fastening of storage rack is disclosed herein. The alignment tool comprises a first end having a conical shape and a second end defining an opening therein, and the opening extending into said cylindrical body along the longitudinal axis. Once the storage rack is installed, the alignment tool can be easily removed with a removal tool through a hole in the alignment tool.

Assembly system for modular industrial plants
10954684 · 2021-03-23 · ·

The invention relates to a modular plant (1), in particular a modular industrial plant, comprising a plurality of cuboid-shaped plant modules (20, 40, 40a, 40c), which are arranged in two or more layers stacked one above the other. The modules have a support structure having fastening points (24, 24, 44, 44), wherein the fastening points are provided for connecting a module to corresponding fastening points of the adjacent modules of a layer located above and/or below thereof. In the horizontal plane, the modules of a layer are connected to the adjacent modules of the layer located above and/or below thereof in a form-fit manner by means of a connection element (64) having the shape of a double cone or of a double conical frustum. At least one traction device (62, 70, 80) having a tension member (62) is provided, by way of which traction device a bottom layer of modules (40a) or a foundation block (6) can be impinged upon with a tensile force along the vertical, with respect to a top layer of modules (40c) such that along the vertical, the modules between said bottom layer (12) and said top layer (11) and the adjacent modules of the layer located above and/or below thereof are positively pressed together at the fastening points and are thus fixed in place.

A cured concrete and stone bore working tool and method of forming radially oriented discontinuities in a bore or perforation formed in a cured concrete or stone material such that, after use or application of the tool, the perforation formed in the cured concrete or stone material is configured to provide a non-planar adhesive interface and isolate a properly sized anchor or fastener from direct contact with the wall of the bore. Fasteners or anchors adhesively secured in bores previously treated with the bore treating tool exhibit improved creep failure performance as compared to fasteners adhesively secured to untreated bores.

HOLD DOWN SYSTEM WITH DISTRIBUTED LOADING FOR BUILDING WALLS
20210002889 · 2021-01-07 ·

A hold down system for a building wall comprises a first rigid member and a second rigid member, the second rigid member being vertically spaced apart from the first rigid member, the first rigid member is supported on a horizontal member of a stud wall, the first and second rigid members including first and second openings, respectively; a tie-rod with a lower end portion for being anchored to an anchorage, the tie-rod extending transversely through the first and second openings, the tie-rod dividing the first and second rigid members into a first lateral section on one side of the tie-rod and a second lateral section on a diametrically opposite side of the tie-rod; first support and second support disposed between the first and second rigid members, the first support being disposed in the first lateral section, the second support being disposed in the second lateral section, the tie-rod extending through the first and second rigid members outside of the first support or the second support; and a nut threaded to the tie-rod, the nut exerting pressure on the second rigid member to place the tie rod under tension loading, the tension loading is transferred by the second rigid member to the first and second supports to subject the first and second supports to compression loading, thereby causing the first rigid member to press on the horizontal member of the stud wall via the first and second lateral sections of the first rigid member, thus distributing the compression loading.
