A decking system and method comprising a set of components that may be used for constructing and repairing structures, particularly the connection between fascia boards. The components may be shaped such that they fit together to form a connection between fascia boards at any angle while providing protective cover from the elements and a polished look. The components may be composed of a variety of materials and may be extruded. A decorative pattern, engraving, or embossing, or any of the above may be applied to the components as desired.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a retrofitable brace fitting assembly. In one approach, a brace platform has a first side, a second side, and a platform slot extending inwardly from an outer edge. The brace platform further includes a post disposed on the first side of the platform for engagement with a corresponding opening in a brace fitting, and a tab disposed on the second side of the platform for engagement with a strut. To restrict rotation of the platform relative to the strut, the tab may extend into an opening of the strut for engagement with an inward turn edge of the strut, or the tab may extend along and abut an exterior surface of the strut. The brace platform may further include a reinforcement post for engagement with a threaded rod, the reinforcement post extending through a corresponding opening in the brace fitting.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a retrofitable brace fitting assembly. The present invention relates to a connector comprising: a body with at least one guide for receiving an edge of a sheet of material and at least two sockets for each receiving an end of a length of material. Each socket opens in a different direction. There is at least one slot extending axially along a wall of each socket a to permit a tool to be inserted through the slot to engage with the elongate length of material and at least one hole through the wall of each socket for passage of a securing means to prevent axial movement of the elongate length of material.

A brace assembly can include a structural member including a sidewall; and a bracket including a baseplate defining a slot extending from an open end to a closed end, the baseplate defining at least one baseplate hinge hole at the open end; a clamp including a jaw member and a tightening member, the jaw member and the tightening member engaging the sidewall to couple the structural member to the bracket, the jaw member defining a clamp hinge hole; and a hinge pin engaging the at least one baseplate hinge hole and the clamp hinge hole.
