Area-Covering Structure Module
A double-shelled load-bearing structure module of any geometric shape, is formed from top and bottom secondary shell elements. A double-shelled load-bearing structure in the form of a primary shell structure is joined with the module, made of individual assembled load-bearing structure modules of this kind having statically necessary filling rods. The secondary shell elements have, in each corner, a connection pocket, which is open at the top or bottom or is open at the top and bottom, of appropriate size for connecting a plurality of load-bearing structure modules. The connection pocket, at least on the outside, on the outer vertical surfaces of the secondary shell elements, is delimited by preferably metal profiles or metal sheet. Connection tabs can also be disposed in each corner instead of connection pockets. The connection tabs are formed from angular surfaces, preferably metal sheet, protruding towards the intermediate space between the secondary shell elements.
MODULAR BUILDING BLOCK SYSTEM
The system and method for the modular construction of three-dimensional structures, and more particularly, to the use of the three-dimensional structures as furniture, storage, and toys. The structures comprise a plurality of panels, rods, and connectors. The structures are made up of one or more inter-connectable blocks. The blocks may have parallel or perpendicular joints. The blocks may be of the same or of different sizes. Numerous accessories are also possible for the modular structures.
SYSTEM, METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SUBSTANTIALLY AIRTIGHT AREA SEPARATION WALL
An area separation wall (ASW) may include gypsum liner panels and structural elements located between adjacent ones of the gypsum liner panels. A sealing material may be located between the gypsum liner panels and the structural elements, and between adjacent ones of the structural elements. The sealing material may form seals therebetween, such that the ASW is substantially airtight when assembled. In addition, the ASW may include a fire rating of at least 2 hours in compliance with ANSI/UL 263.
System and Method for On-Site Construction Using Prefabricated Components
A panelized, systems-based, holistic approach towards design, manufacturing and construction is disclosed. In an exemplary system, a core structural metal framing known as stud and track structure refers to the construction of walls and planes using cold-formed steel. The metal framing has two main components, a stud and a track. The disclosed system is a flat pack. A flat pack system is a prefabricated building construction system that uses structurally insulated panels which are prefabricated in a factory, shipped by stacking and assembled on site. The modular panel system is manufactured off-site and includes an exterior facade, insulation and interior walls in a single pre-made modular panel system, which is connected via novel connectors.
TORSION BOX PANEL ASSEMBLY WITH COMPACT CONVEYANCE CONFIGURATION
A torsion box panel assembly includes a plurality of sub-panels each having a skin secured to a core, and a plurality of hinges each coupled between a different pair of the sub-panels such that each sub-panel is foldable relative to an adjacent sub-panel along a respective hinge. The hingedly-coupled sub-panels together form a base panel having an expanded configuration in which each hinge is closed and the surfaces of the sub-panel skins are substantially co-planar. The base panel, in its expanded configuration, has a planar panel surface defined, at least in part, by the combination of the co-planar sub-panel skins. At least one stabilizing member is secured to the planar panel surface and spans all of the closed hinges to lock the sub-panels together to form a torsion box panel.
Modular wall system for exhibition booths
A modular wall system for use in trade shows includes a wall or header panel formed of frame parts, and a connecting bracket for detachably connecting the end of the panel to an upstanding column. Perpendicular sections of a corner connector are received in the hollow end of different ones of the frame parts to connect the frame parts. A fabric cover defines a recess with an open end adapted to receive the frame parts. A closure device is provided for at least partially closing the open end of the fabric cover. A vertical support member extends from the frame parts to a surface to transmit the weight of an accessory to the surface. The accessory may be an adjustable garment rack, a coupling grid, a shelving unit, or a peg-board unit and a hook. The system includes a crate adapted to receive a plurality of members for transport.
Enhanced deck assembly facilitation methods and systems
Structures and protocols are presented for providing enhanced assembly tolerances (for thermal or manufacturing variations, e.g.) in constructing gazebos or other standalone decking systems, decks adjoining a house or other primary structure, or other such structures for walkways or human occupancy.
System and method for fascia hinge connections
A decking system and method comprising a set of components that may be used for constructing and repairing structures, particularly the connection between fascia boards. The components may be shaped such that they fit together to form a connection between fascia boards at any angle while providing protective cover from the elements and a polished look. The components may be composed of a variety of materials and may be extruded. A decorative pattern, engraving, or embossing, or any of the above may be applied to the components as desired.
Pre-fabricated structures and methods
Building structures can be fabricated at an offsite, and then assembled at the construction site. The building structures can include beams and wall panels having metal attachments. The beams and wall panels can be assembled by coupling the metal attachments, for example, by welding.
