Below grade, blind side, dual waterproofing membrane assembly incorporating a bentonite sheet waterproofing membrane, and a sheet membrane with adhesive to fully bond to concrete/shotcrete, and a method of making, and using same
The present invention relates to a below grade, blind side, dual waterproofing membrane assembly incorporating a secondary membrane comprising of a bentonite sheet waterproofing layer, and a primary membrane comprising of a sheet membrane having an adhesive to fully bond to a concrete/shotcrete. The invention encompasses a dual layer or dual membrane system that acts as a barrier, and prevents, and blocks water and moisture, from passing from one side of the structure to the other side. The dual barrier layer system can be used along a wall, a floor, a ceiling, or along any structure which requires water or moisture proofing. The invention can be used between a concrete or shotcrete layer and the surrounding earth, such as, along an area that has a high water table, or a constant hydrostatic pressure, or high ground moisture, that may creep into a foundation or a wall.
WATERPROOFING MEMBRANE WITH A SOLID FILLER COMPONENT
A membrane used in waterproofing and roofing applications, the membrane comprising a barrier layer comprising a thermoplastic polymer component and a contact layer bonded to at least portion of the barrier layer, the contact layer comprising a mixture of a solid filler component and a thermoplastic polymer component. The disclosure is also directed to a method for producing the membrane, a method for waterproofing a substrate, a waterproofed construction, a method for sealing a substrate against water penetration, and a sealed construction for sealing a substrate against water penetration.
A SELF-ADHERING SEALING DEVICE WITH AN ADHESIVE LAYER ARRANGEMENT
A sealing device including a waterproofing membrane, a sealant layer covering at least a portion of the second primary exterior surface of the waterproofing membrane and an adhesive layer covering a portion of the outer major surface of the sealant layer facing away from the second primary exterior surface of the waterproofing membrane, wherein the sealant layer is composed of an adhesive sealant composition comprising at least one elastomer, at least one at 25° C. liquid polyolefin resin, and at least one inert mineral filler. A method produces a sealing device, a method waterproofs a substrate, and a waterproofed substrate.
BELOW GRADE, BLIND SIDE, WATERPROOFING SHEET MEMBRANE WITH ADHESIVE AND HAVING IMPROVED LOW REFLECTIVITY GRANULAR PARTICLE LAYER TO FULLY BOND TO CONCRETE/SHOTCRETE, AND A METHOD OF MAKING, AND USING SAME
The present invention relates generally to a below grade, blind side, waterproofing sheet membrane with adhesive and low reflectivity granular particle layer to fully bond to concrete/shotcrete, and a method of making, and using same. More particularly, the invention encompasses a below grade, blind side, waterproofing sheet membrane with adhesive, and having at least one layer of low reflectivity granular particle layer that are fully or partly embedded into the adhesive layer, and where the average reflectivity of the exposed granular particles is about 50 or below 55 percent reflectivity on a standard reflectivity scale. The inventive waterproofing layer having the waterproofing sheet membrane, and an adhesive layer having embedded therein low reflectivity granular particles can be used in any building or wall construction, and can be placed under or around a foundation of a building or dwelling or on its below grade blind side retaining walls, etc.
Roof mounting system
A roof mount assembly mounts a structure to a roof having a rafter and a substrate supported by the rafter. The roof mount assembly includes a piece of flashing positioned on the substrate. The flashing includes a first surface, a second surface opposite the first surface and an aperture extending through the flashing. A fastener extends through the flashing aperture. A bracket is connected to the flashing via the fastener, and the bracket is sized to support at least one roof-mounted structure on the roof. A seal is positioned between the flashing aperture and the fastener. The seal is sized to form a water-tight seal with the aperture to inhibit flow of fluid through the aperture. The seal includes a first portion and a second portion, in which the first portion is positioned to abut the flashing first surface and the second portion is positioned to extend through the aperture.
Lath and drainage
An improved lath is disclosed having a water drainage layer provided in association with the lath. The water drainage layer serves to remove water that might otherwise build up between the lath and wall structure.
High performace wall assembly
A high performance wall assembly receives an exterior covering of a building. The high performance wall assembly includes a frame assembly having a top member, a bottom member opposite the top member, and a plurality of vertical members. The vertical members are coupled to and extend between the top and bottom members. The high performance wall assembly also includes a rigid foam insulating panel coupled to the frame assembly. A structural foam layer is disposed on the plurality of vertical members and on the rigid foam insulating panel. The structural foam layer couples the rigid foam insulating panel to the frame assembly and couples the plurality of vertical members to the top and bottom members such that the high performance wall is free of fasteners.
