Field impregnation expansion joint seal system and method of use

An expansion joint seal system with a water-activated impregnation solute, and a body of an open-celled and resiliently-compressible foam, where the volume of the water-activated impregnation solute may be combined on-site and on-demand with water and manually impregnated into the body of the foam for insertion.

MODULAR THERMAL ISOLATION BARRIER FOR DATA PROCESSING EQUIPMENT STRUCTURE

An edge seal for a modular thermal isolation barrier for preventing passage of air through a gap in a data processing equipment arrangement includes a seal portion and a base portion. The seal portion is formed of a resilient material capable of deflection by a rigid adjacent structure. The base portion is formed of a rigid material and includes a pair of side channels opening at opposite sides thereof and a panel-receiving end channel. Each of the pair of side channels includes a first distal flange arranged to extend inwardly from one side of the respective channel and a second distal flange arranged to extend inwardly, and toward the first distal flange, from the other side of the respective channel, whereby each side channel is generally C-shaped and includes a channel opening having a width that is narrower than a width of a channel interior. Each of the seal portion and the base portion has a generally uniform cross-sectional shape.

This document discusses, among other things, unitized curtain systems and methods related to the fabrication and installation of curtainwalls. A curtainwall unit may comprises a frame including a horizontal gutter, a horizontal sill, a first vertical mullion between a first end of the horizontal gutter and a second end of the horizontal sill, and a second vertical mullion between a second end of the horizontal gutter and a second end of the horizontal sill. The horizontal gutter may include a rear channel extending across the horizontal gutter, and at least one protected horizontal channel at least partially beneath the rear channel, the rear channel having at least one opening to the at least one horizontal gutter. Each vertical mullion may include a protected vertical chamber having an opening to the at least one protected horizontal channel.

Expansion joint seal with splicing system

An expansion joint system for supporting and distributing transfer loads and for splicing adjacent systems together. The system includes an elongated core and at least three longitudinal load-transfer members with hollow cylindrical profiles within the elongated core and terminating at each face of the elongated core. The system may include splicing members sized to transition fit into each of the longitudinal load-transfer members to provide an interlocking body to join adjacent expansion joint systems.

METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND PANELS FOR CUSTOMIZED RETROFIT OF A BUILDING EXTERIOR

Methods, systems, and panels for retrofitting an existing exterior of a building. In one example, the method may include: (a) obtaining data about an exterior geometry of the existing exterior; (b) using the obtained data, defining a custom retrofit panel system for the exterior geometry; and (c) constructing the custom retrofit panel system including a plurality of panels, in which constructing a panel includes: (i) forming a panel frame by additive manufacturing, the panel frame defining interstitial spaces; (ii) at least partially filling the interstitial spaces with at least one filler; and (iii) in which the constructed panel includes a building facing surface configured to mate with the exterior geometry of the existing exterior.

A sealing profile can be used for sealing an edge joint between a cladding part of drywall and an adjacent floor, wall, or ceiling. The sealing profile contains a base body having an assembly side, which forms a support for the cladding part, and a fastening portion having a fastening side. The base body has fastening openings which are at a distance from one another in the direction of extent of the profile and which extend from the assembly side at least in portions up to the fastening portion. Furthermore, drywall can contain such a sealing profile, and a method can be used for fastening the sealing profile with fastening elements.
