A baffle assembly for installation on a finished ceiling or wall membrane comprising an elongated base and an elongated panel mountable on the base, the base having fastening areas spaced along its length for receiving fasteners therethrough and anchored on the membrane, the panel having front and rear edges bounding a width of the panel, the panel having a hollow space at the rear edge extending along substantially the full length of the panel, the hollow space being constructed and arranged to receive the base and the base being constructed and arranged upon reception in the hollow to laterally stabilize the panel, the base and panel having interengaged parts concealed in the hollow that maintain the panel on the base.

Elongate panel for a sound wall and a stiffener member for the same

A stiffener member for a hollow elongate panel. The hollow elongate panel may include a first end wall having a groove formation formed by a pair of inner walls and extending a length of the hollow elongate panel. The groove formation may extend into the hollow elongate panel. The stiffener member may include a bight member having opposing ends; a pair of arm members respectively extending from one of the opposing ends of the bight member to provide a substantially U-shaped configuration; and a flange member extending from each of the pair of arm members. The flange member may extend inwardly to abut one of the pair of inner walls of the groove formation when the stiffener member is received within the hollow elongate panel.

Sparse acoustic reflector

A broadband sparse acoustic reflector includes a periodic array of laterally spaced apart unit cells, each unit cell having a plurality of longitudinally positioned Helmholtz resonators. Each unit cell includes a Helmholtz resonator having a neck that places the resonator interior in fluid communication with an ambient fluid, in the lateral direction. Each Helmholtz resonator of the unit cell has a different resonance frequency, providing broadband reflection.

An isolating hanger and method of making is disclosed for mounting a ceiling from an upper support. The isolating hanger comprises a one piece bendable wire having a spring shape defined between a first and a second wire end. The spring shaped is tempered for transforming said spring shape into a resilient spring. The remaining bendable wire ends affix the upper support to the ceiling for isolating vibration between the ceiling and the upper support.

Multilayered panel for machinery enclosure

A panel for machinery enclosure, particularly for turbomachine enclosures. More specifically, a multilayered panel including several different layers each performing a specific function. In particular, the multilayered panel is capable to provide high levels of jet fire and fire/blast protection together with high performances in term of noise abatement with a lighter structure with respect to the panels of the prior art.

Booth

A booth that has an opening through which a user enters and exits the booth and a desk and a chair installed in a space surrounded by a floor and a side wall, the booth includes a movable sound insulation member that is installable to enclose the user in a case where the user is below a top portion of the booth while being in the booth.

Vibration absorption device and method for acoustic insulation

A vibration absorption device for acoustic insulation for a building structure comprises an absorbent cushion and a vibration isolation cushion. The building structure is selected from a ceiling structure, a floor structure and a partitioning structure separating two adjacent building compartments or a building compartment and the external environment. The absorbent cushion comprises sound absorbing material and the vibration isolation cushion comprising vibration isolation material. The vibration isolation cushion overlies and is laminated to the absorbent cushion. The vibration isolation cushion is rigid relative to the absorbent cushion. The absorbent cushion is supple relative to the vibration isolation cushion. The vibration absorption device is mountable to the building structure, to isolate vibrations and to provide acoustic insulation between the two separated and adjacent building compartments.

Wallboard punch assembly with stripper bushings

A punch assembly for creating clean holes in a wallboard sheet having at least one surface with a face paper layer. The punch assembly includes a frame having a lower assembly configured to support the wallboard sheet, a plate on an upper frame assembly being reciprocable relative to the at least one surface of the wallboard sheet, at least one stripper bushing connected to the plate, where the at least one stripper bushing including a hole and a piercing edge, and at least one punch configured to move through the hole in the at least one stripper bushing. In operation, the plate is moved against the at least one surface of the wallboard sheet so that the piercing edge of the at least one stripper bushing contacts the face paper layer and at least partially cuts the face paper layer prior to the at least one punch moving through the wallboard sheet to form at least one clean hole in the wallboard sheet.

Sound Insulating Structure

The present invention addresses the problem of providing a sound insulating structure which provides a sufficient sound insulating effect even when an adhesive layer is arranged therein, and in which a shift in the frequency band where the sound insulating effect is generated is unlikely to occur. This sound insulating structure includes, at least: a sound insulating member that includes a sheet-like sheet section and plural projections arranged on the sheet section; and an adhesive layer arranged on a surface of the sheet section on the opposite side of the side provided with the projections, and the sound insulating structure satisfies the following Formula (1): E_glue/I_glue>0.5×(E_membrane/H)(1) (wherein, E_glue (MPa): storage modulus of adhesive layer, I_glue (mm): average thickness of adhesive layer, E_membrane (MPa): storage modulus of sheet section and projections, and H (mm): average height of sheet section and projections).
