CONSTRUCTION APPARATUS AND METHOD
The invention relates to a construction apparatus with a first and second construction part each including a receiving portion. An interlocking means is included, adapt to be received in the receiving portions of the first and second construction parts when put together to maintain the first panel and second panel together. The invention relates to a construction apparatus made of bamboo. The invention also relates to methods of use of the invention. The invention also relates to an engineered bamboo panel.
Monolithic retaining wall
An apparatus includes a monolithic retaining wall formed by combinable modular retaining wall blocks. Each of the combinable modular retaining wall blocks defines (A) vertical grooves extending along a vertical direction, and (B) horizontal grooves extending along a horizontal direction. This is done in such a way that the monolithic retaining wall, which is formed by the combinable modular retaining wall blocks, defines (A) spaced-apart instances of the vertical channels extending vertically through the monolithic retaining wall, and (B) spaced-apart instances of the horizontal channels extending horizontally through the monolithic retaining wall, in which at least some of the spaced-apart instances of the horizontal channels intersect at least some of the spaced-apart instances of the vertical channels.
WALL CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM
A wall construction system including plurality of interlocking concrete blocks. The interlocking blocks include one or more stretcher blocks, corner blocks, and half blocks. The blocks include top and end shear lugs and bottom and end grooves. The bottom grooves accommodate the top shear lugs of blocks in a lower course of stacked blocks. Corner blocks provide a means for creating a corner and turning the direction of a course of blocks by 90 degrees. The interlocking features of the blocks enable dry-stacking in successive courses to construct a wall or multi-wall structure. When stacked end to end in successive rows, the top and end shear lugs of each interlocking block engage complimentary grooves in the underlying, overlying, and adjacent blocks thereby enabling the blocks to rapidly self-align vertically and lock together as they are stacked. The resulting dry-stacked structure exhibits a high lateral resistance to overpressures or transverse loads.
Construction block, a wall structure comprising the same, and a method for manufacture of said construction block and of said wall structure
A construction block comprising: two or more support members each of which has a first face and a second face opposite the first face and comprises a hollow between the first and second faces, said hollow having openings facing in a direction transverse to a direction normal to the first and second faces, said opening configured for receiving at least a portion of a tenon element allowing two such construction blocks to be assembled; a frame arrangement connecting the support members to each other, said frame arrangement having external segment(s) extending from at least one of the first and second faces in a direction away from the hollow; a first panel conterminous with the first faces; and a second panel conterminous with the second faces; wherein at least a portion of the external segment of the frame arrangement is contained within one of the first and second panels.
CONSTRUCTION BLOCKS
An interlocking construction block system comprising a family of blocks that interlock along three axes, including a left/right axis, a front/back axis, and an up/down axis. The family of blocks are self-aligning and do not require skilled labor or mortar to create a structure of any length, width, height, or shape. Each block comprises a specific geometry that allows all blocks in the family to interlock in a woven pattern that not only locks the blocks in place but also allows even distribution of structural weights and stresses. The disclosed blocks can be manufactured in different sizes to conform to any building code requirement and to create wall lengths to a one-inch measurement. The blocks may comprise channel openings to allow for plumbing, electrical, and structural reinforcements in the structure and may each be reinforced with an internal mesh cage.
Block interlocking module and system to build architectural structures
An interlocking module including a panel and one or more trapezoidal elongations extending from any of the first end face, the second end face, the first side face, the second end face, the upper face or the lower face of the panel, wherein the one or more trapezoidal elongations each include a dovetail joint. The interlocking module further including one or more members, wherein each of the one or more members emanates from each of the one or more trapezoidal elongations, and wherein each of the one or more members emanates in a perpendicular direction relative to each of the upper and the lower faces of the panel. The upper face includes a plurality of apertures, wherein each of the plurality of apertures is configured for receiving a pin from a member of a second module for interlocking the second module and a first module. The panel and the one or more members of the interlocking module define a void space for receiving a standard sized building block within the void space.
Concrete building block and methods
A concrete block includes a dry cast concrete body having opposite first and second sides, opposite first and second end faces extending between the first and second sides, and opposite first and second bearing faces extending between the first and second sides and the first and second end faces. Each of the first and second bearing faces defines an inset region sized to receive a key that will also fit into the inset region of a like block stacked thereon. The body has at least a pair of rod-receiving apertures extending completely therethrough between the first and second sides to permit attachment to a like block through the first and second sides with a rod extending through each of the apertures. The block can be tapered to form curved walls.
