WALL ASSEMBLY
A wall and an assembly for building the wall comprises building blocks and support blocks. Each building block comprises opposite first and second faces, both comprising a plurality of recesses arranged spaced from each other. Each support block comprises a body and a plurality of protrusions extending from opposite top and bottom sides of the body. Each recess comprises a recess support structure and each protrusion comprises a protrusion support structure. The recesses and protrusions are arranged in a matching pattern. Alternating layers of building and support blocks are stacked on top of each other wherein the protrusions of one layer are accommodated in the recesses of the adjacent layer, the respective support structures engage each other and position and support the respective higher block on the respective lower block, and relative movement of the respective blocks in two mutually perpendicular directions generally parallel to the layers is restricted.
DRY STACKING SYSTEM
The invention concerns a dry stacking system (1) comprising: bricks (2, 3, 4, 5, 27, 29), with a flat top face (8) and a flat bottom face (9) in which a groove (14, 15) is provided in the length direction; a wall tie (6); and an anchoring clamping element (7) which can be attached to the wall tie (6) and in adjacent grooves (14, 15) of a top-stacked brick (2, 3, 4, 5, 27, 29) and a corresponding under-stacked brick (2, 3, 4, 5);
wherein at least one brick (2, 29) as an anchoring brick (2, 29) has one or more recesses (16) in its top face (8) and/or its bottom face (9) for receiving the wall tie (6) therein, wherein each recess (16) extends from a rear face (10) to beyond the corresponding groove (14).
The invention also concerns an anchoring brick (2, 29) for such a dry stacking system (1), a facade (26) erected therewith, and a method for erecting such a facade (26).
Reformer flue gas tunnel and refractory components therefor
A refractory block for a steam reformer furnace tunnel includes a hollow main body, at least one first mechanical mating member defining a protruded portion extending from an upper surface of the main body, at least one second corresponding mechanical mating member defining an opening corresponding to the protruded portion formed in a portion of a lower surface of the main body, at least one third mechanical mating member defining a tab provided in a portion one of a first end and an opposed second end or a first side and an opposed second side of the main body, at least one fourth mechanical mating member comprising a groove formed in the other of the first end and the second end or the first side and the opposed second side of the main body, and at least one cavity formed in the lower surface of the main body.

A refractory block for a steam reformer furnace tunnel includes a hollow main body, at least one first mechanical mating member defining a protruded portion extending from an upper surface of the main body, at least one second corresponding mechanical mating member defining an opening corresponding to the protruded portion formed in a portion of a lower surface of the main body, at least one third mechanical mating member defining a tab provided in a portion one of a first end and an opposed second end or a first side and an opposed second side of the main body, at least one fourth mechanical mating member comprising a groove formed in the other of the first end and the second end or the first side and the opposed second side of the main body, and at least one cavity formed in the lower surface of the main body.
LIGHT WEIGHT CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM BASED ON HORIZONTALLY PRE-SLOTTED PANELS
Modular building methods and systems using lightweight modular panels, and specially configured transition panels for transitioning from wall to floor, or from wall to roof. Identically configured standard panels are used for constructing the walls, floor, and roof, with transitions from one structure to the next (e.g., wall to floor, or wall to roof). Each of the variously configured panel types includes channels (e.g., 2 pair of channels) formed through the length of the foam body, where the channels are configured to receive splines (e.g., flanges of an I-beam) therein. In the standard panel, the channels may include pairs of top and bottom channels, with the channels offset towards the respective panel major faces. In the transition panels, the channels may be similarly configured, but positioned differently to make the appropriate transition. The splines are connected to a frame, which acts as a template and transfers loads to a foundation.
Light weight post and beam construction system based on horizontally pre-slotted panels
Modular building methods and systems using lightweight foam modular panels. Each panel includes one or more channels formed through the length of the foam body, where the channels are configured to receive splines therein. The channels may include pairs of top and pairs of bottom channels, each channel being offset from the center of the foam body, so that the channels are oriented towards the respective panel faces. Splines may also be positioned along the top and bottom of the panel (such splines forming a web center portion of an I-beam). In combination with the splines in the top and bottom channels, these web center portion splines form horizontally extending I-beams at the top and bottom of each panel, so that stacked panels include a horizontally extending I-beam there between. Side-by-side panels include vertical posts there between, such that the system forms a post and beam construction system.

The outdoor structure and structural system also including at least one bridging lintel, the bridging lintel having an upper surface, front and rear sides and first and second sides, the bridging lintel having first and second hangers extending from the upper surface of the bridging lintel, the first hanger extending a distance along the upper surface and a distance outward from the upper surface beyond the first side of the bridging lintel, the second hanger extending a distance along the upper surface and a distance outward from the upper surface beyond the second side of the bridging lintel.

A refractory block assembly for a steam reformer furnace tunnel includes a hollow main body portion having at least one through-hole having openings formed in a first side and an opposed second side of the hollow main body portion. At least one refractory insert member, having mechanical mating features on at least a portion of the outer surface thereof, resides within at least one of the at least one through-hole of the hollow main body portion.

Precast block and installation system for construction of walls and slabs
Precast blocks with a rectangular or quadrangular prism shape contain a normal weight hydraulic concrete casing, lightweight concrete or similar material, for building walls or slabs. The steel-reinforced blocks for walls, mezzanine or rooftop slabs have the length of the wall or slab to build. An acoustic, thermal-insulating lightweight material housed in the interior simultaneous provides for blocks sufficiently lightweight to transport and install manually on-site. For walls, the blocks are tongued and grooved on the top and bottom sides and placed horizontally one on top of the other using block or similar adhesive therebetween. In the corners or T intersections, blocks are alternatively placed and form armed headframes for stability and resistance. For blocks for slabs, the tongue and groove system is on the sides, installed one beside the other, using block or similar adhesive therebetween. Transversal rods to the slab are placed to avoid temperature retraction.
