Extruded insulated concrete form block system with corner, top and bottom blocks
11208803 · 2021-12-28 ·

An insulated concrete form (ICF) system includes a rectangular building block formed of two back to back half beam “C” sections defining a half beam space at each open end of the “custom character” block and defining an intersecting column space orthogonal thereto with interlocking grooves on each corner side of the block. The system also includes a plurality of rectangular building blocks interlocked via the interlocking grooves configured to form a grid of beam space and intersecting column space orthogonal thereto, the resulting grid space configured to be filled with concrete and interstitial rebar to form a concrete wall.

Sleeve support for a condenser
11225804 · 2022-01-18 · ·

A beam-receiving support kit bears an outdoor condenser component of a split air conditioning system through a rigid beam. The support kit generally includes a support sleeve and a brace configured to resist rotation of the beam after the kit is incorporated into a block wall or foundation. The sleeve generally includes a straight passageway for the beam between aligned openings in the wall or foundation. The brace engages the sleeve and is generally configured to extend across a portion of at least one or two webs of a standard nominal 16″ long concrete block, and may be embedded or installed on a face of the wall or foundation. The kit may be part of a masonry unit. The kit may also comprise one or more sleeves and a liner or insulator for protecting the sleeve(s).

A masonry unit may include a main portion having end surfaces, a primary side surface, and a secondary side surface, and an auxiliary portion positioned adjacent to the main portion and defining an auxiliary void. The auxiliary portion may be connected to the main portion at the secondary side surface. The auxiliary portion may include an auxiliary wall being spaced from the secondary side surface to define the auxiliary void therebetween, and at least one bridging web extending across the auxiliary void and connecting the auxiliary wall to the main portion, the at least one bridging web being inset from the opposite ends of the unit, the at least one bridging web being integrally formed with the main portion and the auxiliary wall. The auxiliary void may extend from one end to another end of the unit and may extend from the top to the bottom of the unit.

Insulatable Cementitious Building Block
20210102374 · 2021-04-08 ·

The insulatable cementitious building block is a concrete block formed with first, second, and third spaced parallel rectangular walls, where the second wall is half the height of and is intermediate to the first and third walls. First and second vertical end cross webs connect the first and second walls from the bottom of the first and second walls to the height of the second wall. First and second spaced intermediate vertical cross webs are in planes between the planes of the end cross webs and connect the second and third walls. These intermediate cross webs are also from the bottom of the second and third wall to the height of the second wall. The first, second, and third walls together with the cross webs form openings that accommodate inserts. Alternatively, the spaces may be filled with liquid expandable foam.

The insulatable cementitious building block is a concrete block formed with first, second, third, and fourth spaced parallel rectangular walls, where the parallel walls are connected by offset and constricted cross-webs in parallel planes to each other and perpendicular to each of the walls. All the cross webs are from the bottom of their corresponding walls to the height of the second and third wall. The walls together with their cross webs form openings that allow for filling with insulating inserts dimensioned to fill the spaces between. Alternatively, the spaces between all walls plus the spaces above the second and third walls and above all cross-webs may be filled with liquid expandable foam.

CEMENTITIOUS BUILDING BLOCK WITH INTERCONNECTING FEATURES
20210054623 · 2021-02-25 ·

A block is disclosed that includes a top surface, a bottom surface, a pair of sidewalls, and a pair of endwalls. The block also includes a projection that protrudes beyond the top surface along a first axis and is symmetrical along a second axis and a third axis. The block also includes a recess that extends into the bottom surface along the first axis and is symmetrical along the second axis and the third axis. The block also includes a pair of trenches including a first trench and a second trench that are respectively defined by a recess extending into an endwall of the pair of endwalls. The pair of trenches both run along the first axis from a surface of the projection to a surface of the recess, and a first width of the first trench overlaps with a second width of the second trench along the third axis.
