The device can include an eye shield assembly having a skirt extending from the filter assembly and positioned distal to the seal, an optically transparent eye shield coupled to the skirt to form a continuous surface from the filter assembly to a top portion of the eye shield, and a frame coupled to the frame assembly and eye shield assembly.
METHOD FOR DUAL MODE DISINFECTION IN A VEHICLE INTERIOR
A method for providing dual mode UV automotive disinfection includes the step of providing one or more UV light sources and moving automotive cabin air in proximity to the light sources. A shutter is configured in proximity to the light source in either an open or closed position where operation of the light source(s), motor and shutter are controlled where the light sources operate in a first mode by disinfecting cabin air in proximity to the light source or in a second mode using the at least one light source to irradiate cabin surfaces.
DUAL MODE DISINFECTION SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE INTERIOR
A dual mode UV-C disinfection system for the cleaning of automotive cabin air and surfaces includes a UV light source, a motor for moving cabin air in proximity to the at least one UV light source and a shutter configured in proximity to the at least one UV light source. A controller for controlling operation of the light source, motor and shutter and a first sensor for determining the presence of persons within proximity to the at least one UV light source. The UV light source operates to either disinfect cabin air or cabin surfaces depending on the position of the shutter.
METHODS AND DEVICES FOR PREVENTING VIRAL TRANSMISSION
An apparatus includes multiple first reservoirs and multiple second reservoirs joined with a substrate. Selected ones of the multiple first reservoirs include a reducing agent, and first reservoir surfaces of selected ones of the multiple first reservoirs are proximate to a first substrate surface. Selected ones of the multiple second reservoirs include an oxidizing agent, and second reservoir surfaces of selected ones of the multiple second reservoirs are proximate to the first substrate surface.
ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT DISINFECTING FACE SHIELD SYSTEM
A face shield system utilizes a headgear with an outer shield and an optional inner side that is proximal to a person wearing the face shield. The headgear may be configured to receive a disinfecting cartridge that neutralize or destroy pathogens in an airflow flowing therethrough. The cartridge may include a neutralizing UV light emitter and a destroying UV light emitter as well as an ionizer. The plenum may include a plurality of baffles to produce a serpentine flow through the plenum. The baffles and the interior of the plenum may be textured and polished and may include catalytic coatings for improving the effectiveness of pathogen destruction and absorbing ions and UV light. An air inlet may allow air from the plenum to pass into the inner side of the shield after the air is disinfected and purified by the UV light emitters.
AIR SANITATION DEVICE, ESPECIALLY FOR A REFRIGERATOR
An air sanitation device, especially for a refrigerator, includes a housing having a light outlet, an air channel located in the housing, an air detection device and/or an air purification device located in the air channel, an illumination device located in the housing to generate light adapted to pass through the light outlet, and a partition member separating the illumination device from the air channel. Air is adapted to flow along a first side of the partition member. The illumination device is located between a second side of the partition member and the light outlet.
HYPOCHLOROUS FOGGING OR MISTING APPARATUS AND METHODS
A disinfecting device is easy to use and can be easily mounted in a dental operatory or other similar environment. The device can include a removable solution chamber attached to a base unit. The solution chamber can be a refillable chamber or a disposable chamber. The base unit can receive pressurized air, typically from a standard connection present in the dental operatory, or a dental chair, or the like. The pressurized air can be used to deliver a mist or an electrostatic fog of the solution in the solution chamber out of a nozzle. A hose can connect the base unit with the nozzle. In use, the user can turn on the system and use an activation/deactivation mechanism to deliver the atomized mist or fog to all surfaces in the room.
GERMICIDAL DEVICES AND APPLICATIONS OF SAME
A germicidal device includes a purification/disinfection and LED lighting member configured to generate UVC light and negative air ions for destroying microorganisms and removing odors in a space in which the purification and sterilization member is placed; a sensing member configured to detect at least one event occurred in said space in real time; and a microcontroller unit coupled with the purification and sterilization member and the sensing member for controlling operations of the purification and sterilization member in a respective state in accordance with the at least one event occurred in said space and energy saving. The UVC light has one or more wavelengths in a range of about 100-400 nm.
AIR FILTRATION SYSTEM
An air filtration system comprising an extrusion frame with an associated grille proximal to an occupied space, the frame dimension for insertion within a drop ceiling or solid ceiling associated with either a plenum air space or directly to a return air duct associated with an air handler and conditioned supply air, a pleated filter positioned adjacent the grille so as to filter air flowing into the plenum air space from the occupied space, the pleated filter dimensioned for entrapping particles in the 1 to 3 micron size, an ultraviolet lamp for emitting UV-C light positioned adjacent the pleated air filter so as to substantially irradiate airborne particles that may pass through the pleated filter and, in particular to irradiate particles associated with microorganisms, including viruses, an electrical switch and associated electrical ballast for controlling operation of the electrical lamp and so as to ensure that the lamp is not energized when the air filtration system is being installed or service; and means for securing the extruded frame of the air filtration system to a drop ceiling or solid ceiling or wall.
AIR PURIFICATION AND SURFACE STERILIZATION SYSTEMS INTEGRATABLE INTO BUILDING STRUCTURES AND FURNITURE SYSTEMS
Air purification and surface sterilization systems employing ultraviolet germicidal irradiation integratable in a discrete manner into indoor occupiable spaces in buildings. The systems may be used alone or in combination. The air purification system utilizes fan-powered disinfection units equipped with an ultraviolet light source operable to deactivate airborne pathogens. The surface sterilization system utilizes ultraviolet lamp units operable to deactivate surface accumulations of pathogen. Devices of either disinfection system may be integrated into ceiling or wall systems of the building interior space, or office furniture used in such spaces.
