System for reducing pathogenic bioburden using a UV-C light emitting device and sensors
In one embodiment, a system for reducing pathogenic bioburden in an environment comprises a light emitting device comprising one or more light sources emitting UV-C light, two or more sensors generating environmental data, and a processor communicatively coupled to the two or more sensors and the light emitting device, the processor performing an analysis on the environmental data from each sensor of the two or more sensors and adjusting the light flux emitted from the light emitting device based at least in part on the environmental data from the two or more sensors. The light flux emitted from the light emitting device may be adjusted based at least on temperature, humidity, and occupancy of the environment sensed by the two or more sensors.
Visible and infrared light reflective air purification system
A versatile air purification system is disclosed herein. The invention harnesses reflective light trapping components capable of circulating high-intensity visible and infrared radiation. Passing air absorbs a part of the energy in aerosols as viruses and bacteria. Excessive energy consequently induces denaturation of biomacromolecules and can trigger chemical and physical disinfection mechanisms to airborne pathogens. This technology is also compatible with various HVAC systems, like those of medical facilities, buildings, and vehicles, and can be utilized for other fluids too. The system can further be applied as a distinct, portable air purification apparatus.
Portable Disinfection Unit
A portable disinfecting apparatus with effective disinfection properties against pathogens, such as bacteria, fungi, and viruses is disclosed. Embodiments of the portable disinfecting apparatus include a portable sterilization box having at least one path configured to receive drawn air and to irradiate the drawn air with UV radiation along the path to produce disinfected air. The path may be provided using baffles that are configured, for example, in a serpentine or spiral configuration to provide a non-linear flow path for the air. The UV light sources, such as UV LEDs may be mounted on the baffles. Embodiments of the apparatus include an intake tube connected to the sterilization box for drawing air into the sterilization box from a point high within the room that is to be disinfected. The disinfected air is released from the sterilization box a point lower in the room. As the air is slightly heated during the disinfection process, drawing in air from high in the room and releasing the disinfected air lower in the room provides circulation and mixing of the disinfected air.
UV-C LED disinfecting apparatuses, systems, and methods
An ultraviolet (UV) germicidal irradiation system comprising: a light emitting diode (LED) disinfecting face mask comprising: a flexible mask body having a front surface and a back surface; a flexible printed circuitry (FPC) sheet disposed within the flexible mask body, the FPC sheet having a plurality of LEDs adapted to emit UV light, the plurality of LEDs facing the front surface; a vibration sensor electrically connected to the FPC sheet, the vibration sensor being adapted to detect vibrations; a UV-reflective layer disposed behind the FPC sheet, the UV-reflective layer being adapted to reflect the UV light; and a light diffusion layer disposed in front of the FPC sheet, the light diffusion layer being adapted to scatter the UV light; and a control module comprising: a central processing unit (CPU), an LED driver, and a power source; the CPU being in electrical communication with the LED driver and the vibration sensor.
APPAREL AND/OR METHODS FOR COMBATING VIRUSES
A device for creating an air curtain protecting a human respiratory system is described. The device can be a hat and/or collar worn by a person and includes a constant or on demand flow of air that passes across a person's face to create an air curtain. The flow of air moving across the face blows airborne viruses away from a person's eyes, nose, and mouth. Another concept includes a glove that is outfitted with a device that purifies the glove. A battery could be mounted on a person's wrist or forearm with a small wire running down the glove. Likewise, the glove could be outfitted with UV light embedded on the surface or just underneath a permeable/top layer of the glove. Still further, the glove can carry electrical pulses aimed to kill viruses every ten seconds or so.
VOLATILE MATERIAL DISPENSER
A volatile material dispenser includes a base and a stand assembly that is coupled with the base. The base includes a fan and a battery therein. The stand assembly includes a platform, a stand that extends from the platform, and a manifold that extends from the stand. The volatile material dispenser also includes a shroud and an air deflector. The shroud is positioned on the base and defines a chimney. The air deflector is positioned between the shroud and the manifold. The air deflector is configured to direct air out of the chimney.
Ultraviolet Rays Radiating Personal Protective Eyewear Device
The present invention relates to a personal protective eyewear device. The eyewear/eyeglass device is configured to function as personal protective equipment for virtually anyone while in high-traffic public areas like retail stores, schools, offices, etc. The eyewear device comprises a plurality of LED wafers disposed at the bottom of the frame, or on a bracket that is attached to the bottom of the frame, for emitting and projecting far-UVC light in the range 207-222 nm to create a shield for pathogens. The shield disinfects both the inhaled and exhaled air.
Envelopes with integrated easel features
An envelope may include an envelope body having a first pair of substantially parallel edges that extend in a transverse direction and a second pair of substantially parallel edges that extend in a longitudinal direction, a face, and a back defining a pouch.
