Storage systems, methods and containers

A storage system is described where goods are stored in containers and the containers are stored in stacks. Above the stacks runs a grid network of tracks on which load handling devices run. The load handling devices take containers from the stacks and deposit then at alternative locations in the stacks or deposit then at stations where goods may be picked out. The containers comprise liners formed from flame retardant or flame suppressant material. Containers comprising liner means are used to store ignitable items within the storage system.

Temporary wall system with fire block protection

A barrier system for partitioning a space includes panels which interlock with each other to provide a barrier that is fire rated. The interlocking panels are assembled in the barrier in columns using a tongue and groove assembly and a panel lock using a strike and latch supported by the tongue member and groove member, respectively. Each panel includes a peripheral frame (that is shaped to provide the tongue and groove members), opposed steel side faces mounted to the peripheral frame, and an insulation block filling an interior space delimited by the peripheral frame and the opposed steel side faces. The insulation block includes a pair of insulating material layers that sandwich a radiant barrier layer. A floor module supports a bottom edge of the panel and an interface module supports a side/top edge of the panel. The floor/interface modules are configured with telescoping sections and are length trimmable.

TWO-PIECE TRACK SYSTEM

A fire-rated receiver channel includes at least one intumescent or other fire-resistant material strip. The receiver channel can nest with a framing member, such as metal tracks, headers, header tracks, sill plates, bottom tracks, metal studs, wood studs or wall partitions, and placed at a perimeter of a wall assembly to create a fire block arrangement. In other arrangements, a track assembly includes two nested tracks, an inner track and outer track. The assembly is designed so that the outside width of the outer track is equal to or less than the outside width of the inner track to present a substantially flush external surface for attachment of exterior sheathing elements when the assembly is used in an external wall.

Portable sound system

A system for enhancing sound includes a support structure and one or more panels forming a panel structure. The panel structure defines a first and second portion of an oblong enclosure, both forming an approximated double ellipse profile, comprising a material having a sound reflective surface, and held by the support structure. The first portion extends between a first area proximate a first speaker driver and a second area proximate the listener. The second portion extends between a third area proximate a second speaker driver and a fourth area proximate the listener. The two portions are shaped such that sound waves emitted laterally from the first and second speaker drivers are reflected and focused toward the listener as three-dimensional sound.

Device for hanging a sound-absorbing panel or the like

A device which can be fixed to the edge of a panel, for example a sound-absorbing panel formed by heat-bonded synthetic fibers, is disclosed. The device includes a body with a longitudinal through-hole and two walls which define a cavity for enclosing the edge of the panel. The through-hole communicates with the cavity. The through-hole is configured to guide a threaded element (screw or the like) towards the cavity so that the threaded element engages at least with the edge of the panel so that it expands towards the walls of the cavity and is firmly retained by them.

Storage systems and methods

A storage system is described where goods are stored in containers and the containers are stored in stacks. Above the stacks runs a grid network of tracks on which load handling devices run. The load handling devices take containers from the stacks and deposit then at alternative locations in the stacks or deposit then at stations where goods may be picked out. Each container may be provided with connectors having a push fit male connector located at a top edge of the container and a female connector at a bottom edge of the container. Adjacent containers in a stack can be linked by routing means, which form moldings on each container. The connectors can also have spring-loaded contacts. The provision of these services within individual containers rather than across the system as a whole, allows for flexibility in storage whilst reducing cost and inefficiency.

Joining element for connecting together two or more panels

A joining element for connecting together two or more panels is disclosed. The joining element includes at least one strip section; wherein the strip section forms a first part and a second part; wherein the first part and the second part are connected together along a hinge line or area. In addition, the second part includes a connection member designed to engage with a complementary connection member. In one embodiment the connection members comprise a button and an eyelet.

Disclosed is a furniture connecting and fixing device which allows pieces of furniture or partitions to be connected or separated without using an additional tool and which makes pieces of furniture to be firmly connected even upon an external force. The furniture connecting and fixing device includes: a female body having a female magnetic plate fixed and embedded therein; a male magnetic plate magnetically attached to the female magnetic plate; a male body having the male magnetic plate embedded therein in a manner such that a part of the male magnetic plate is able to enter and exit from the male body; and a magnetic space which is formed inside the female body and into which a part of the male magnetic plate protruding from the male body due to a magnetic force is inserted to be magnetically attached to the female magnetic plate.

Fire blocking reveal

A fire-rated reveal piece and wall assemblies or other assemblies that incorporate the fire-rated reveal piece, in which the reveal piece can include an intumescent or other fire-resistant material strip. The reveal can be attached adjacent to a corner, flange or leg of a framing member, such as metal tracks, headers, header tracks, sill plates, bottom tracks, metal studs, wood studs or wall partitions, and placed between the framing member and a wall board member at a perimeter of a wall assembly to create a fire block arrangement. A fire spray material can be applied over a portion of the reveal piece.
